Sunken Waterproofing Surface Preparation :Taking out/ down old existing sunken slab treatment and cleaning the old RCC surfaces of sunken /lowered portion of slab surface for full depth of sunken floor by wire brush or chisel out any mortar sticking the surface all as specified and directed including cleaning and preparation of the substrate to receive Fosroc Polyurea water proofing system or equivalent product of Asian paints, M/S MC Bauchemic /CIPY/SIKA/Pidilite Dr Fixit/ Thermax/ STP shall be a sound base free from any oil, grease, rust, or deleterious material which may impair adhesion. The surface preparation shall be carried out mechanically to remove contaminants, laitance & weak concrete, to expose blow holes, and to produce a sound concrete with adequate profile and porosity. Any crack shall be treated with cementitious repair mortar of Fosroc Renderoc CS or epoxy crack filling mortar or equivalent product by proper grooving arrangement as advised by Fosroc engineer in-charge.

Bore Packing (for Reinstallation) : Preparing the inside surface of core and PVC by roughening using suitable file to get better adhesion prior to packing works. Cleaning the surface by wire brushing followed water jet to remove any laitance or loose flaky particles. Providing necessary formwork for packing the bore using suitable arrangement (depending upon site conditions). Applying a coat of styrenebutadiene based polymer coating using Nitobond SBR or equivalent product of Asian paints, M/S MC Bauchemic /CIPY/SIKA/Pidilite Dr Fixit/ Thermax/ STP admixed with integral WPC or cementitious crystalline waterproofing compound to enhance adhesion between the packing material and other surfaces. Packing the gap using nonshrink cement polymer-based grout using conbextra GP2 upto the surface of the bore whilst the Nitobond SBR is in tacky state. The above analysis is based on assumption for 150mm diameter core with 110mm diameter PVC for 5” thick slab only. Typical Properties Compressive strength at 28day as per BS 1881 45N/mm2, completely as per the manufacturer’s Instruction.Nos 450

Coving treatment: Making coving of 50mm X 50mm at all the flat & vertical junction using Fosroc Renderoc S Single component, shrinkage compensated, fiber reinforced, thixotropic cementitious mortar, to achieves a minimum compressive strength of 20 MPa in 1day and 55 MPa in 28days when tested as per EN 12190 and capable of applying 50mm thickness in single layer of approved product finished flush with existing surface.

Waterproofing membrane: Supply and application of single-component, Pitch free seamless roller/ spray applied Nitoproof 600PF or equivalent product of Asian paints, M/S MC Bauchemic /CIPY/SIKA/Pidilite Dr Fixit/ Thermax/ STP applied at average minimum DFT of 1.3 mm above primed surface with Nitoproof WB Primer or equivalent product of Asian paints, M/S MC Bauchemic /CIPY/SIKA/Pidilite Dr Fixit/ Thermax/ STP It shall possess the following properties: Solids by Volume: 85%, Tensile Strength ASTM D412: >1.9 MPa, Tear resistance ASTM D624C: 15(N/mm), Elongation ASTM D-412: >400%, Adhesion in-peel test ASTM C836 (N): > 50N Note : Providing a non-woven geotextile fabric of 200GSM over the cured waterproofing membrane before going for a protective layer.

( Note 1 : Fill the sunken with water and check for dampness and seepage . All pipes passing through walls of sunken floor shall be laid before water proofing treatment is carried out . One No 50 mm dia, 35 mm long medium grade GI pipe with wire gauge on inside mouth shall be provided to each sunken portion.Cost of pipe with including of quoted rate , no extra cost will paid) (Note 2: The work shall be carried out complete as per manufacture's specifications and application methodology. Terrace /RCC Roof Waterproofing : Surface Preparation : Remove existing water proofing treatment. Picking, sweeping clean and washing down with water to remove dust. While doing the treatment on existing roof, concrete should be thoroughly inspected for any significant distress, such distress, if any repaired/ rehabilitated and treated.

Bore Packing (for Reinstallation): Preparing the inside surface of core and PVC by roughening using suitable file to get better adhesion prior to packing works. Cleaning the surface by wire brushing followed water jet to remove any laitance or loose flaky particles. Providing necessary formwork for packing the bore using suitable arrangement (depending upon site conditions). Applying a coat of styrenebutadiene based polymer coating using Nitobond SBR to enhance adhesion between the packing material and other surfaces. Packing the gap using nonshrink cement polymer-based grout using conbextra GP2 upto the surface of the bore whilst the Nitobond SBR is in tacky state. Waterproofing membrane : Providing and laying / fixing TPO (Thermoplastic polyolefin) membrane of non-flammable waterproofing of Roof on prepared surface of roof & up to 300 mm of parapets and crumple joint including junction of roof and parapet. which shall be a 1.5mm thick loose laid membrane using Fosroc Proofex ORG (I) membrane or equivalent layers are overlapped to achieve a minimum weld of 110mm. The separation layer provided to prevent the mechanical abrasion and cushioning between the Fosroc Proofex ORG (I) membrane and the concrete substructure. The termination of Fosroc Proofex ORG (I) by aluminum strip anchoring. (Note: The work shall be carried out complete as per manufacture's specifications and application methodology. Execution to be done with authorized trained/skilled applicator with prior experience of more than 5 years in applying similar system.and as per manufacturer technical guidelines laid by manufacturer, Company guarantee to be given by contractor after completion of water proofing work before payment)
