Annual Maintenance of Navigational Aids at Minicoy for the Year 2024-25

Disconnecting and removing the navigational buoys with light from the anchor from Anchorage of different position in different channel of Minicoy lagoon and marking the position of anchor with GPS using floats tied with anchor then towing the buoy to shore safely beaching and stacking the buoy safely in stack yard and the removed parts inside LHW store excluding cost of materials like towing rope, float and rope, ‘D’ Shackle etc., but including hire charges of boat, cost of all labour charges minor T&P etc., complete. (This item to be executed before next Monsoon period ie during may 2025)

Collection of rubberized buoys, shifting from stack yard to sea shore for Re Installation, towing to different entrance and channels of Minicoy about 3 to 4 KM through lagoon and connecting to anchor already laid at different locations in channels and entrance and then fixing light stand and light over the buoys properly and locking etc, work. complete (Barge will be supplied free of hire charges) including cost of all labour charges, hire charges of boat for towing & placing in position, all minor tools etc but excluding cost of ‘D’ shackle, M S Chain buoys etc which will be issued free of cost at departmental store/stacking yard at Minicoy etc

Removing the drifted channel marker buoys from the shoreline/ lagoon from as is where is condition and transporting and stacking the buoy safely in ALHW stack yard, and after attending the required maintenance/repair works reinstalling the same at respective anchors, excluding hire charge of crane, and tractor with trailer which will be provided by the department as per actual requirement and availability but including hire charge of towing boat, all labour charges, cost of minor tools etc complete.

Painting two coats on RCC entrance tower surface above water level including cost of Paint , hire charges of boat, all labour charges for scrapping the outer area, cleaning, scaffolding, brushes, minor tools etc., complete.

Removing the 4NM marine lantern from the all the eight entrance tower (4Nos Starboard side and 4Nos Port side) at western side of Minicoy, attending minor repair to the removed lights and lights available at department store, refixing the lights on the entrance tower excluding cost of marine latern and accessories but including hire charge of boat , necessary ladder, minor tools, cost of all labour charges etc complete.

Scrapping and painting the external surface of DWT 5000 ship mooring buoy and Twin point Mooring buoy with one coat of primer followed by two coats of approved /anticorrosive /epoxy black paint and white paint providing strips on top as triangular and sides of equal length and width with paint as directed by the Engineer-in-charge including cost of all labour charges, hire charges of boat, cost of paint, painting brush minor tools like scrapers wire brush chipping hammer and transportation charge of materials to work site etc. complete

Providing and laying P.C.C.1:2:4 using 20 mm stone metal mixing dry at shore, bagging in half bags and tying , loading on to the barges/ boat, conveying to Kandimamagu entrance tower location, placing in position at the foundation during low tide around pre cast structure at the sea bed level, packing at places where erosion occurred including cost of all materials, all labour for mixing, extra labours (diver) for placing, levelling under water etc,
