Material and labour for construction of valve chamber of size 900 x 900mm and 900 mm deep dimensions (Over all internal dimension) with PCC foundation, brick masonry walls, Plastering, PCC Coping, white washing, mild steel chamber cover, painting to chamber cover including Excavation and earth work in any type of soil complete all as specified below:-Valve chamber shall be provided with the following specifications:- (i) Cement concrete for foundation (1:4:8) type D2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate 150 mm thick extended up to 150 mm beyond the outer face of brick masonry. (ii) Walls of valve chamber 230 mm thick using brick masonary setting in CM 1:6 complete. (iii) Internal and exposed surfaces of valve chamber brick masonry surface shall be plastered with CM (1:4), 15 mm thick finished even and smooth.(iv) 50 mm thick coping in PCC 1:3:6 type C1 over brick masonry wall. Note : (i) The proposed VCB will be used for outgoing purpose and has to be compatible with the existing ICOG VCB panels of 630 amp rating with horizontal isolation type with CT ratio 600-300/1A for Main Incoming and 200-100/1A outgoing . The Size of existing HT incoming panel is 4100 MM x 610MM x 6900MM and of make ABB and necessary extension of copper busbar is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (ii) After taking shutdown contractor shall complete the commisioning of the Job within 24 hrs. (iii) Testing, calibration of relays/primary/secondary injection, testing the relays/submission of test report and control wiring/power wiring complete is included in the above scope of work. (iv) Drawing for panels shall be produced to the Engineer-in-charge and got approved from GE before placement of order by the contractor. (g) Testing of earthing. Note: (1) The earth resistance shall be less than 5 ohms after completion of earthing. If the desired earth resistance is not obtained, the earthing shall be re-done by the Contractor by replacing the existing soil by good quality soil to achieve the desired result at his own risk and cost to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for bringing extra earth i.e granular material if required from outside ministry of defence (MOD) land at a distance exc 1.50 Km and not exc 6.00 Km for filling and raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layer not exc 25 cm thick, watering, compacting and finishing to required gradient/ shape and deposited where complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge
