Excavation over area n.exc 1.5 m deep and getting out in soft/disintegrated rock complete all as specified & directed.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 1.5m in depth for foundation, laying of cable/pipe etc or for shaft, walls, cesspts, manholes, pier holes etc not exceeding 10 sqm on plan and getting out in soft/disintegrated rock complete all as specified & directed.

Returning, filling in including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm in soft/disintegrated rock complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated rock to a distance exc. 250 metre and not exc. 500 m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for PCC (1:4:8) type D-2 using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate in foundation, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for squared rubble stone walling Jodhpur type, regular coursed, well bonded, bedded and solidly hearted, built in CM (1:4) complete all as specified and directed.

Extra over to stone walling for hammer dressing to face stones and dressing of the face beds & joints as specified for squared rubble walling regular coursed, Jodhpur type, with maximum depression of face from straight edge held against the dressed surface n.exc. 20mm complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for keyed pointing in CM (1:4) on external wall of squared rubble masonry regular coursed surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Edge stones to flooring with stone setts shall be of the best quality granite, trap, basalt or quartzite as specified of size 250 to 300 mm long x 150 to 200 mm wide, and 500 mm deep and and sides dressed; bedded in cement mortar 1:3, 20mm thick ; joints grouted in cement mortar 1:2 with an admixture of metallic floor hardner 5% by weight of cement and struck flush complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 150 mm thick (75mm thick each layer compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregates of (lime stone, sand stone, flint or quartzite) grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20 mm graded aggregates as in copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, kerbs etc., water troughs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded for chamfered angles and throating including necessary form work complete all as specified and as directed.

Rolling and consolidating to required gradient and camber of formation surface (cutting or filling) of roads with 8 to 12 tonne power roller including filling in depressions which occur during rolling complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for soling (or sub base) 100 mm thick (spread thickness) with broken boulders or quarried stone (lime stone, sand stone, flint or quartzite) broken to size ranging 100mm to 50 mm interstices filled, surfaces formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F for 100 mm dia Cast iron soil, waste and vent pipes in any length with or without ears, with cement joints, laid in trenches or in floors complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Stone sett flooring with stone setts shall be of the best quality granite, trap, basalt or quartzite as specified of of size 200 to 250mm long, 150 to 200mm wide and 150mm deep and sides dressed; bedded in cement mortar 1:3, 20mm thick ; joints grouted in cement mortar 1:2 with an admixture of metallic floor hardner 5% by weight of cement and struck flush complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for forming construction joint 30mm deep x 10mm wide filled with sealing compound grade 'A' for 200 mm thick concrete slab complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for forming Contraction (Dummy) joints 65 mm deep x 10 mm wide, filled with sealing compound grade 'A' for 200 mm thick concrete slab complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for Forming 12mm thick Expansion joints filled with pre-formed bituminous filler and top 30mm primed and sealed with sealing compound, Grade ‘A’ for 200 mm thick conceret slab complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for 200 mm thick PQC Cement concrete work in pavement/ hard-standing of flexural strength 40 kg/per square centimetre in field using 400 kg of cement per cubic metre including necessary steel formwork complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Notes for Item No 19.00:- (i) Construction joints, dummy (contraction joints) and expansion joints shall be measured and paid separately. (ii) Deduction shall be made in computing concrete quantity for expansion joints. (iii) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of cement content is used / approved in the execution of work under this item.
