REPAIR AND RESURFACING OF ROAD AND ROAD FURNITURES INCLUDING CLEANING OF ROAD BERM AT BALASORE AND NILGIRI

Preparation of old black top surfaces of road by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with all gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area n exc 400 sqm, n.exe 50 mm deep and removing n. exe 50 mtr and stacking and further depositing where directed complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Premix bituminous macadam using paving bitumen VG-30, as 4% of total mix, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) complete with mechanical paver complete all as specified and directed.

Applying evenly a tack coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS: 8887 at a rate of application of 0.2-0.30 Kg/Sqm on bituminous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRTH specification for Road and Bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer of existing cleaning surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC) 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5 % binder content with paving bitumen VG-30, admixture of OPC cement /stone dust as per recommendation of design by weight of total mix from hot mix plant, rolled by 8 to 12 tonne vibrating (tandom) road roller to confirm uniform surface and compacted to required gradient complete with mechanical paver complete all as specified and directed.

S&F Retro-reflective regulatory sign board of size 600X800 mm made out of 2.0mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated lens type retro -reflective sheeting as approved by Engineer-in-charge. Letter, symbols, borders etc. will be as per IRC - 67 with required colour scheme on the boards and with the high intensity grade A. The aluminium sheet to be riveted to SS frame of 25mmX 25mm X 1.6mm square hollow section, fixed with 50mm SS pipe of height 2100mm (From GL to top of sign board) and 600mm leg of 50mm dia SS pipe embedded below GL and filled with & including PCC (1:2:4) in post hole of size 450x450x600 mm incl. necessary excavation and removal of surplus soil away from site including taking down old board complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre line, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint of approved colour including road safety glass beads confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturer instruction complete all as specified and directed.

S&F cat eye road stud solar reflective type of ABS body of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm of suitable size fixed as per manufactures instruction complete all as specified and directed.

Site clerance including all grass vegetation, spalings, shrubs, brushwood on road side berm including removing from site complete all as specified and directed.
