Notes for SI item Nos 1 to 6 :- (a) Contractor shall employ one fitter general mechanic/ electrician having minimum ITI qualification from Govt recognised institute with adequate knowledge & minimum 2 years experience in maintenance & operation of electric supply/water supply/fire fighting installation for each shift of 08 hours. The operator must competent to carry out the minor repair/maintenance all as specified and as directed.

(b) Each shift duration shall be 8 hours & duty timing shall be decided by Engineer-In-Charge. (c) The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include for cost of labour for daily routine maintenance for trouble free functioning of installation. (d) Checking/rectification of leakage of water. (e) Checking/rectification of loose connections. (f) The unit rate quoted shall deemed include for maintenance of earth pits, cutting & removing of vegetation and upkeep of the surrounding area, all around the bldg upto 6 mtr from the plinth protection all as specified and as directed. In case of failure, a penalty of Rs 1000/- per month per plant/pump house shall be levied and recovered from dues. (g) In case of any abnormal noise/complaint the plant should be put off same should be brought to the notice of Engineer-in-Charge. (h) The operator shall check loose connection, water leakage and inform Engineer-in-Charge/JE regularly.

(j) The operator shall check the gland, vibration, nut bolts daily & tightening up as and when required. (k) The operator shall check level of distilled water in battery & top up as and when required. The quoted rate shall deemed to include the cost of distilled water. (l) Check battery terminals, if found loose, tighten it property. (m) The operator employed by the contractor shall be capable of carrying out minor repair maintenance & should have well experience in electrical panel, motor, pump set & fire fightings field etc. (n) The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of cotton waste, cleaning material etc & contractor shall ensure general area cleanliness and upkeep of the installation on daily basis. (o) The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of tools & testing instruments required for operation & maintenance of LT panel, pump set, starter & fire fighting equipments etc. (p) The rate quoted shall deemed to be inclusive of safety gear & required tools for minor maintenance. The contractor shall provide 02 Pairs of Gum Boot & 02 Pairs of Hand Gloves. In case of failure to provide tools kit & safety kit a penalty of Rs 3000/- shall be recovered and levied per Operator.

(q) Power supply for operation of electric equipments, pump sets & fire fighting equipment shall be made available by department free of cost. (r) Fuel for operation of diesel engine driven pump sets shall be provided through issue voucher. (s) The contractor shall provide 02 uniforms to each operator and design of uniform shall be got approved from GE. In case of failure, a penalty of Rs 100/- per day per Operator shall be levied and recovered from dues. (t) In case of failure due to absence of operative staff, the contractor shall be liable to pay compensation of Rs.1000/- or at twice the cost of a day’s manning & operation derived from pro rata rate of Sch ‘A’ quoted rates whichever is higher (v) The Contractor shall maintain proper records of all kinds of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly or whatsoever maintenance is carried out during contract period in a binded book / register and shall obtain the signature of Engineer-in-Charge every fortnightly. The quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of binded book/register.

(x) It is responsibility of contractor to deposit the employees provident fund (EPF) to the concerned authority as per the prevailing scales as laid down by the Ministry of labour for all Electrician/operator/helper (as applicable) and necessary proof to this regard shall be submitted to Engineer-in-Charge for verification and records. The quoted rate shall be deemed to be included of above provisions. In case contractor fails to produce the proof of EPF, he shall be liable for action as deemed fit. Decision of GE in this regard shall be final and binding. (y) The contractor shall maintain all the registers under various labour law rules, 2017 and shall be produced to GE and as well as officers detailed by labour department.

(z) The rates quoted shall be inclusive of all taxes ,cess, levies etc as applicable including GST (aa) The prevailing rate,wage,contribution etc shall be as applicable as on the bid submission end date. (ab) In view of COVID-19 alerts various restrictive instructions issued concerned authorities from time to time. Hence additional precautions essential for the work shall be taken by the contractor by way of provisioning of masks, hand sanitizers, gloves etc to workmen and all local instructions issued by the Concerned Authorities and Station Authorities shall be complied with all relevant safety precautions covered under Model Rules for the protection of health and sanitary arrangement for workmen (Annexure ‘C’) of IAFW-2249) shall be strictly followed. Nothing extra is admissible on this account (ac) The contractor shall also deploy additional man power as relief against weekly off,leave,holidays etc all as per existing Labour Act and shall substitute the operator accordingly for which no extra payment admissible. The unit rate quoted against items in Schedule ‘A’/BOQ shall be inclusive of this provision also. (ad) The contractor shall pay the wages to the operator through e-payment i.e Aadhar linked bank accounts and Credit to their bank account. The wages shall not be less than prevailing minimum wages fixed by state Govt or central Govt whichever is more.

Dismantling electric motor from the centrifugal pumpset/monoblock/submersible of any make, 3 phase 415V of following capacities, opening the motor for rewinding using super enamelled copper wire of suitable gauge to match with the existing winding including varnishing & drying and re-assembling the motor, connecting with pumpset with proper alignment and testing complete through authorised service engineer all as specified and as directed for the following capacity :-

M&L for overhauling of centrifugal pump set of capacity 7.5 HP, 3 phase 415 volts by opening up the pumpset, cleaning inside & outside thoroughly, including replacement of gland packing, rubber insertion, replacement of bearings - 2 Nos (DE/NDE) and testing complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for overhauling of centrifugal pump sets / vertical turbine pumps 3 phase 415 volts of following capacities by opening up the pumpset, cleaning inside & outside thoroughly, including replacement of gland packing, rubber insertion, replacement of bearings - 2 Nos (DE/NDE) and testing complete all as specified and as directed :-

M&L for preparation of existing painted surfaces of motor, pump, water pipe lines etc at Baithkol pump house and filling of cavities etc and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint using spray gun/machine as per colour code including writing SM & MES No on pump & motor, indication marking etc complete all as specified and as directed.
