Note:-(i) Each job shall consist of a minimum of five complaints. (ii) Each job (comprising a minimum of five complaints) shall be executed by one electrician assisted by one helper. (iii) The Contractor shall be entirely responsible for ensuring safety and security in accordance with MES standards. The Contractor shall also be fully responsible for the safety of all personnel engaged on the work and shall provide all necessary safety equipment, appliances, and tools. (iv) The Department shall not be liable for any compensation on account of any accident, injury, or loss sustained by the Contractor’s workmen/employees during the execution of the works, and the Contractor shall be solely responsible for the same. (v) All tools and plants required for execution of the work, including but not limited to pliers, screwdrivers, testers, test lamps, clamp meters, ladders, etc., shall be arranged and provided by the Contractor at his own cost.(vi) All complaints shall be attended to promptly, round the clock, as and when directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. No complaint shall be refused or left unattended. (vii) The Contractor shall ensure that all defects are rectified and the lights are made functional within 4 (four) hours from the time of receipt of the list/intimation of defective lights. In the event of failure to restore any light within the stipulated time for any reason whatsoever, a recovery at the rate of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) per defective light per day shall be effected from the Contractor’s dues under RAR/Final Bill. (viii) The Contractor shall provide, at his own cost, adequate transport including vehicles with fuel and a suitable mounted hydraulic ladder for execution of the work. (viii) The Contractor shall maintain a proper and up-to-date register of repair and maintenance, clearly indicating details of spares replaced for each light. The same shall be got authenticated daily by the concerned JE (E/M). The register shall be produced to the Engineer-in-Charge for inspection every Monday or as and when called for.
(ix) The Contractor shall maintain at all times adequate stock of spares and materials required for repair and maintenance of street lighting systems in consultation with the concerned JE (E/M). All minor materials such as screws, insulating tapes, sub-main wires, gaskets, etc., and all necessary spare parts for fittings and accessories including switches, sockets, bulbs, holders, pole boxes, power points, DBs, MCBs, etc., required to keep the installation in efficient working condition shall be arranged and supplied by the Contractor.
