Periodical functional inspection of servicing of fire fighting system comprising of Auto /Manual operational check of the following fire fighting /fire hydrant systemm including related electrical control panel installed for the fire fighting system for the location MLH/ARS-1 Hanger:- (a) Centrifugal pump set of cap 90 KW make Kirloskar - 02 Nos (b) Jockey pump set of cap 11 KW make Kirloskar - 01 No (c) Electical panel - 01 No (d) Fire Hydrant with valve on both side -22 Nos (e) Sluice valve 250/200/150/100 mm - 27 Nos (f) Pressure switch - 04 Nos (g) Pressure gauge - 05 (h) Hose cabinet - 31 Nos Note:- (i) The periodical inspection shall be carried out with a periodicity of each month and the inspection shall be carried out within any of day from 1st to 10th of each month or as specified and directed by GE/Engr-in-Charge. (ii) Any minor defect noticed during functional test such as making electrical connections into the electrical control panel, filling the graphite packing seal into the gland piece of centrifugal type firefighting pump, replacement of rubber flanged gaskets of size 250/150 mm /100 mm with necessary nuts bolts and washers if required to arrest the leakages etc shall be included in the quoted rates of this item. (iii) Periodical serviceability /functional test for locations viz MLH/ARS-1 hanger, building shall be carried out in every month from the date of taking over of site in the presence of representative of station fire section. Record of the same shall be maintained and submitted to the Garrison Engineer/Engr-in-Charge duly signed by contractor and his engineer and rep of GE including endorsement from Station fire section. (iv) A recovery of RS 1000/ shall be made against the contractor for each of the month for non-performing of periodical serviceability functional inspection within the schedule time for any of the month (v) Any major unserviceable item related to firefighting system shall be measured and paid for separately under the respective item of schedule if required to be replaced for making the system serviceable. (vi) The contractor shall submit the inspection report of each inspection within 10 days of inspection to GE.

(RSD-L Bldg.) by periodical cleaning of flame detectors, Beam detectors, Triple IR detectors by using clean solvent of the standard recommended /specified by the OEM and checking wiring connections from each of the detector to repeater panel and control panel for checking its healthiness during each month from the date of handing over of site complete all as specified and as directed. Details of the eqpts installed are as under :- (a) Fire (Heat/Smoke/Flame/Beam detecter) detectors - 350 Nos (b) Main control panel- 01 No (c) Manual call point - 34 Nos (d) Emergency Hooter - 01 No (e) Response indicator - 30 (f) Fault isolator - 34 Nos Note : (i) The complete job shall be carried out by the authorised vender nominated by OEM. (ii) The scope of work is inclusive of cleaning of flame detector, checking of wiring connections, identifying the faulty fire/flame detector of any type description, rectification of fault in fire detection cum alarm control panel using any minor hardware/ spare and upgradation of software if required for the fire detection /alarm system. (iii) The flame detector of any type /description, if required to be replaced shall be measured and paid for separately. (iv) Any kind of small T&P , ladder , support, scaffolding up to the reach of detectors shall be arranged by the contractor with in the quoted item rates. No extra on account of this shall be admissible. (v) The schedule of servicing of complete fire detection /alarm system in every month from the date of handing over of the site/issue of work order is to be carried out by the contractor, failing which a sum of RS 1000/ Per month shall be admissible on account of recovery from contractor. (vi) The contractor shall visit the site before procurement action to ensure /confirm make and specification for replacement of faulty detectors /other items. (vii) The contractor shall submit the inspection report of each inspection within 10 days of inspection to GE.
