M&L for Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick surrounded with charcoal and salt, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metre deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level connected to galvanized earth lead using GI earth strip in size 32 x6 mm means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel all as shown in electrical Plate No 3 of MES SSR Part-I connected to main switch board or main control board all as specified and testing on completion including provision of earth strip protected by galvanized iron 40 mm dia light grade pipe and watering pipe shall be 20 mm bore light grade with funnel including all excavation and earth work in any type of soil, PCC pit with pre-cast RCC cover, charcoal/salt, funnel etc complete including taking out old unsv earthing all as directed by Engineer in Charge. (i) The concrete pit shall be PCC 1:3:6 type C-1, 40 mm thick pre cast cover slab of RCC (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate reinforced with 8mm TMT bars @ 10 cm C/C on both sides with suitable cast iron handle shall be provided in lieu of cast iron cover shown in electrical plate No 3 of MES SSR Part-I . (ii) Item includes the cost of 7.50m GI pipe and protection of earth strip. Any variation in length shall be paid separately under respective items hereinafter. (iii) PCC pit shall be provided at least 500 mm away from the pit and not on the earth pit itself and the extra cost of additional length of watering pipe, bends, elbow etc shall be deemed included in the unit rate. Note: Quoted rate shall be paid after getting resistance value satisfactorily (below 2.00 Ohm) and record will be submitted by the contractor.

Supply,installation and testing of waterless and maintenance free (Marconite Concrete Earth Electrode) Earthing (grounding) electrode of size dia 85 mm x length 3000 mm with 17.2 mm Cu bonded MS conductor in Pre cast in high purity electrically conductive granular (Marconite), with copper bonded MS rod dia 17 mm x 3 mtr length embedded in 85 mm dia of marconite, having ultra low resistivity of 0.1 Ohm to 0.3 Ohm (Provide the resistivity certificatefor the same) Electrode made of electrically conductive granular mixed with cement to pre cast or backfill the voids surrounding the metal conductor in augured bore hole of 100 mm dia x 3000 mm depth, resulting in increase of effective surface area of the earth electrode and in case of high soil resistivity agrid of multiple electrode to be installed to lower the desired earth resistance value, permanently with no further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge during it's life of over 50 years in all type of soil including dry or rock soil. Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its pH should be in neutral range. Earth enhancing material should permanently protect the encased metal conductor of corrosion. Electrodes top terminal should be sealed permanently with the conductive concrete and extension strip taken out be terminated at earth bus bar. other hardware like nuts, bolts and washers should be of stainless steel. Electrode should withstand fault current up to 30 kA for 1 second. (Bidder provide the certificate for the same. Item included the cost of 7.5 mtr copper strip size 32x6mm with 40mm dia GI pipe for protection earth strip, any variation in length shall be paid separately under respective item) Note : Supplier of the Marconite earthing materials should provide authorization letter from the manufacturer for the Genuine material and also furish certification as per IEC 62516-7 & resistivity certificate confirming 0.1 ohm - m complete including taking out old unsv earthing all as directed by Engineer in Charge. M&L for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to pole or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc as required of size 32 x 6 mm galvanised iron strip including taking down old unserviceable earth continuity conductor complete all as specified and directed.

S&F PVC flexible conduit 32 mm dia on wall/ top of roof/ roof sheet for providing isolation to aluminium strip from wall/ metal sheet on roof complete all as specified and directed.

It will mention the type of earthing, number of the earth pit and the total number of particular type of earthing for that equipment. For example, a equipment earthing pit can be marked as EQ 1/4 which means equipment earthing EQ No 1 out of 4 EQ earth pits for the equipment including taking down old onecomplete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing of 40 mm bore GI pipe light grade ISI marked as per IS:1239 with all GI fittings, laid in trenches/wall including taking down old pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing of 15 mm bore GI pipe light grade ISI marked as per IS:1239 with all new GI fittings, laid in trenches/wall including taking down old pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F plug type bib taps, cast iron, screwed for iron pipe and fixed for 15 mm dia pipe including taking down old unsv bib tap complete all as specified and directed.

Labour only for cutting /boring to plinth protection /hard standing/road etc in suitable depth and for laying /crossing of GI strip size 32x6 MM in 45 CM depth minimum complete all as directed. Note:- Quoted rate shall be included the cost of required material for repair to disturbed surface in existing.

M&L for re-fixing to aluminium/ galvanised / copper strip in any size fixing on saddle type insulators using broung nut bolts and washer etc/ reveting by aluminium reveits for jointing to strip/ laid in trench/ fix on surface of wall/ beam etc as site required making circuit continuty with making straight all as directed. Note ; Quoted rate shall be including cost insulator etc all (ii) Porcelain type insulator and fixing screws shall be provided @ 3 Nos per RM for fixing of strip.

M & L providing PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 (Using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundation of size 150 mm x 150 mm cross section, planting depth 0.30 Mtr for concrete encasing the pole upto GL and including form work finished even and fair complete all as specified and directed.

M & L providing PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) for plinth block/Collar above GL 150 mm high of size 150 mm x 150 mm and including form work finished even and smooth with using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

Excavation in trenches not exc. 1.5 mtr wide and not exc. 1.5 mtr in depth for foundation , shaft well, cesspit, manholes, pier hole etc and not exc 10 sqm on plan and getting out in soft / loose soil complete all as specified & directed.

Returning, filling in, including, spreading, leveling, watering & well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 CM complete all as specified & directed.

Removing excavated material exc. 250 m but n exc. 500 m (out side MD land) and depositing where directed at contractor's own arrangement complete all as specified & directed.

Material & Labour for chemical to burn out the shrub/grass/ unwanted small trees etc 100% in outfit area of near building earthing pit in AOR spread by using spray gun equally in a given time interval as directed. Note: Chemical sample shall be supplied in sealed container 2 to 5 Ltrs each after approval by Deptt. complete all as specified & directed. Make :- Glycel or equivalent as approved by AGE(I)

Supply and fixing in replacement of copper strip 32 x 6 mm thick including porcelain type insulator fixed on 1 Mtrs apart interval with screws / reveting/ nut bolt washer etc for mounting to strip as roof conductors complete all as specified and directed. Note: Porcelain type insulator and fixing screws shall be provided @ 2 Nos per RM for fixing of strip.

M&L in replacement of heavy duty saddle type porcelain type insulator for holding to GI / copper strip with bronze nuts bolts and washers etc all as site requirement and directed.

Supply and fixing Rolled Miled steel Framed work as in top of temp bldg for fixing of air termination confirming to Fe 410-W (gde-E-250) quality-A with gusset plates, rails braces, etc. complete, drilled for fixing of steel sheeting or other covering and hanging and fixing including taking out rusted frame complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
