Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) Notes for Reinforced Cement Concrete works: i) Cement for structural works shall be OPC/PPC ISI marked and duly approved by the Engineer-in-charge. ii) PPC/ blended cement of ISI marked shall only be used for finishing works on prior approval of Engineer-in-charge. iii) All RCC work shall be controlled concrete unless otherwise specified and shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the drawings and specifications. iv) The rates for RCC works shall be exclusive of cost of reinforcement and form work unless otherwise mentioned. v) All coarse aggregate to be of 20 mm. maximum size & uniformly graded unless otherwise mentioned. vi) The water tank and other tanks shall be executed strictly as per following criteria without any additional cost. a) The water tank and other tank work shall be executed as per IS:3370 latest editions in addition to other relevant IS code mentioned elsewhere. b) The minimum cement content for water retaining structures tank shall not be less than 350 kg/cum and not more than 400 kg/cum. c) During construction of raft slab of underground tank, lift pit dewatering shall be continuously carried out to avoid developent of water pressure.
d) Dead load in the form of sand bag shall be placed on the raft slab of underground tank, lift pit, so as to counteract the pore pressure untill the walls are constructed and back filling is done. Number of sand bags required and time period of loading etc. shall be at the descretion of the Engineer in Charge. vii) For all RCC items, the rates quoted shall include the following without any extra cost to the Department. a) Spacers to maintain clear cover for reinforcement. b) Fixing at correct level and in proper alignment the inserts, pipe sleeves, pipe bends, hooks, other pipe specials etc. supplied by/ through the dept. c) Making cutout wherever required including cutting the form works etc. d) Test for Concrete shall be done as per IS:456 and the cost of the same shall be borne by the contractor.
Extra for providing RMC (Ready Mixed Concrete) conforming to IS 4926 (Latest) in lieu of conventional PCC & RCC items, supplied by approved RMC manufacturers including transportation, pumping etc , complete as per instruction of Engineer in Charge. Note:- The contractor shall obtain prior approval of RMC manufacturer from Engineer in Charge in writing. The rate shall apply for all levels and locations including all type of structure etc. This item shall be measured in addition to the original items of RCC and PCC of any grade mentioned elsewhere in Schedule of Quantities for sub structure and super structure as applicale.
Reinforcement for RCC work including supplying, delivering, storing of various diameters asrequired at site of work including loading, unloading, transporting, decoiling, straightening,cutting, bending, placing in position at all floors, locations & levels and binding with 18 gauge, soft drawn annealed steel binding wire including carrying out various tests as required etc. all as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Note: The cost of binding wire shall be borne by the contractor and binding wire shall not be measured for payment.)

Fusion bonded epoxy coated Thermo Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe-550 D manufactured by SAIL, TATA STEEL, JSW, JSPL and RINL only. (The contractor shall obtain prior written approval from EIC for the factory for fusion bonded epoxy coating of reinforcement steel. The fusion bonded epoxy coating shall be carried out as per latest revision of IS:13620).
Providing, erecting, fixing in position, striking / removing and cleaning steel / timber shuttering & centering for form work including single / multiple staging at all floors, level & locations for all geometrical shapes in plain, curved surfaces of structural / R C C elements and including rails, bracings, props, brackets, cutting holes for pipes etc., providing & applying approved form oil on all surfaces of form work coming in contact with concrete including close hacking of all exposed concrete work after removal of form work, all materials, labour etc. complete as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Area of form work in contact with concrete shall only be measured for payment & stop boards for construction joints etc. will not be measured for payment). Notes for form work: a) Area of form work in contact with concrete shall only be measured for payment and stop boards for construction joints will not be measured for payment. b) The rate of form work shall include all type of structural/ RCC elements and geometric shapes including circular and any other curved surfaces. c) For double/ multi stage shuttering design calculations and details / drawings for scaffolding shall be submitted by the contractor well in advance. Prior written approval of formwork shall be obtained from Engineer in Charge, before commencement of work. d) Nothing extra shall be entertained for revision in drawings
Providing ,erecting , fixing centering -shuttering work using FRP composite mould to obtain form concrete surfaces of special features like Roman fluted circular column with capital on top and bottom/any aesthetic finish of various shapes as per drawings at all heights & locations for following including single / multiple staging , chamfers splays, keys, wedges, props, rails,bracings, brackets, cutting hole for pipes etc.providing and applying approved form oil to all surfaces of form work coming in contact with concrete and skirting / removal of the same including finishing by filling form -tie- holes , removal of fins, ridges, and irregularities by grinding filling air holes, with sack rubbed finish cleaning up loose and adhering debris including all materials labour etc. Complete as per specifications drawings and directed by Engineer - in-charge.

Note: Voids @ 20% for soils and 50% for soft rock/ hard rock shall be deducted from fully loaded truck measurements to arrive at the net quantity for payment in case direct measurement is not possible.

Providing & applying synthetic enamel paint in two or more coats on old steel surface, at all floors, levels & location using ready mixed & ready made synthetic enamel paint of approved make, shade and pattern including one coat of approved steel primer including labour, material, scaffolding, surface preparation, cleaning etc complete all as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (Note:- Synthetic enamel paint shall have VOC content less than 50 grams/ litre). (On Steel surfaces including two coats of steel primer Zinc Chromate)
Providing and applying minimum 1.5 mm thick synthetic plaster finish of approved make over plastered surface by applying two coats of synthetic plaster by trowel/spray and as per approved design/colour/shade/pattern including finishing the sharp edges at corners, nitches, etc to perfect line, level, plumb and applying two coats finish of approved premium exterior emulsion paint (with PU and sillicon technology) as per manufacturer's recommendations and specification, of approved colour and shade, including all labour, materials, scaffolding, double height staging if required and surface preparation, in plane/curved/any geometric shaped surface, external / internal surfaces, at all heights, leads, lifts and location as specified in the drawing all complete as per specification and as directed by EIC. (Note:- Finished surface area shall be measured for payment. Synthetic plaster shall have alkali, acid and UV resistant properties and having VOC content less than 50 grams/ litre.). (Using Renovo / Durasheild/ Ruf & Tuf of Sherwin Williams (BJN Paints), Chemtex or approved equivalent)
Providing & applying textured finish paint of M/s Asian paint/Burger/nerolac/heritage or approved equivalnt over MS structural work/steel pipes/Concrete Surfaces finished with stucco spray finish in Grey colour/Granite stone/wooden trunk finish Texture plaster finish or any other approved finish applied over putty over a coat of anti corrosion paint including all labour materials, scaffolding, double height staging, if required & surface preparation etc. all complete at all heights, leads, location and lifts etc complete as per specification, drawing & as directed by EIC
Providing & laying machine cut & machine polished (mirror finish) 18mm thick Granite Stone of black/ approved colour at all floor & location in necessary cement mortar bedding /backing, close jointed & grouted with matching cement slurry and rounding of edges, finished to line, level,curing etc. as required, including cutting of stone slab, wastage, making cut outs, grooves wherever required, machine polishing/ hand polishing (where machine cannot have access) etc. complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge. Note: Top exposed surface on plan &exposed vertical finished face shall be measured for payment in Sqm.

All Rectangular and Square Hollow Sections (RHS & SHS) shall be conforming to latest version of IS:4923. All rolled sections shall be of Grade E-250 and conforming to latest verison of IS:2062. Welding shall be as per IS:816 & IS:6227.
Designing, fabricating (Laser Cutting), Erecting & fixing Metal Art Sculpture work of approved design made out of M.S. sheet built up section connected by M.S. Flat/angles/pipes etc fabricated & bent to shape. The height of the metal art is 1200 mm. The art work is consisting of differnet units, finally articulated and connected each one as per the approved image and fixed over RCC pedestal ( As per structural detail). including providing & fixing 400mmx 400mmx 10mm M.S. plate embeded in concrete with suitable lugs over RCC pedestal, including painting the entire assembly with black matt finish or approved finish over a coat of anti corrosive paint of zinc chromate primer and including providing & applying one coat of zinc rich primer after properly cleaning the steel surface with wire brush and mild acid solution followed by washing with water and drying the surface completely, including cutting, welding gas cutting wastages, labour, scaffolding and staging for erecting etc complete as per specfication, drawings & as directed by EIC.

Designing, fabricating,providing and fixing FRP 3D Selfie point of approx. height upto 1800 mm & 1800mm width as approved & as per approved design including fixing the sculpture on vertically with all fixing arrangement including approved protective colourless coat, all materials, labours, scaffolding etc completed all as per drawings, specification and as directed by EIC.

Applying stamping finish to the top surface of freshly laid plain / reinforced cement concrete of specified grade in porticos, sidewalks, driveways, pool decks and open yards as per direction of the Engineer in-Charge. The process shall include the following:- • The concrete shall be placed and screeded to the finished grade, and floated to a uniform surface by using standard finishing techniques. The approved color hardener @ 2.7 kg/sqm shall be applied evenly to the surface of the fresh concrete by the dry shake method by sprinkling in two or more shakes, floated after each shake and trowelled only after the final floating. The approved release agent @ 0.113 kg/sqm shall be applied evenly to the trowelled surface before stamping or the said release agent can be applied to the flexible polyurethane stamp moulds of approved design and in required sizes to achieve final stamped pattern. These stampings shall be placed on the surface of concrete in three to four pieces at a time and tapped gently with rammers of sufficient size & weight to leave proper stamp marks and the process repeated for the remaining concrete surface till the whole surface to be stamped is completed within the time while concrete is in plastic stage of setting.
• After stamping, the curing shall be done as per manufactures specifications. After initial curing the imprinted joints shall be grouted using cement slurry mixed with color hardener as per the requirement. The surface shall be sealed by applying acrylic based sealer not less than 0.167 litre/sqm on finished surface. • The construction joints shall be provided by groove cutting of size 4mm x 20 mm in panel size 3m x 3 m or lesser as per the site conditions and filling the same with 10 mm baker rod and providing and laying (PU) Polyurethane based joint sealer of approved make as per manufacturer’s specifications and finished by applying Polyurethane resin based top protective clear coat of minimum 80 micron applied with rollers on properly cured and dry clean surface. (Cost of concrete for flooring is not included in this item which shall be paid separately.)

Designing, providing and fixing of 4 mm thick Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) cladding of approved make and shade at all levels, location & floors including soffits of over-hangs but excluding aluminium frame work with grids filled in with weather silicon sealant as per the drawings for linear as well as curvilinear portions of the building. The Aluminium Composite panel (ACP) composition shall be of 0.5 mm thick PVDF coated aluminium sheet + 3 mm thick low density polyethelene virgin resin core + 0.5 mm thick polyester (PVDF) coated Aluminium sheet, including all labour, material, stainless steel screws, nuts, bolts, washers, cleats, weather silicone sealant, backer rods, cutting, fixing, wastage, scaffolding all complete as per approveddrawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge. (Note:- Aluminium frame work will be paid under relevant item. ACP shall be measured to the actual visible area of the ACP sheet including silicon joints as fixed on site.).
The rate shall be inclusive of following: 1. Structural analysis, design and preparation of shop drawings for pressure equalisation or rain screen principle as required, proper drainage of water to make it watertight. 2. The item includes cost of all material & labour component, the cost of all mock ups at site, cost of all samples of the individual components for testing in an approved laboratory, field tests on the assembled working curtain wall with aluminium composite panel cladding, cleaning and protection of the curtain wall with aluminium composite panel cladding till the handing over of the building for occupation. Base frame work for ACP cladding is payable under the relevant aluminium items. The Contractor shall provide curtain wall with aluminium composite panel cladding, having all the performance characteristics all complete, as per the Architectural drawings, as per item description, as specified, as per the approved shop drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Refixing rough/ smooth finished interlocking paver blocks of 60/80 mm thickness for pavement in footpath / parking at required loactions within Anushaktinagar, including supplying & levelling the stone grit and dust of 50 mm thick in proper line and slope evenly spread over the sub base including consolidation of sub base, finishing to line, level and slope, finally filling the joints with fine clean sand and cleaning the surface including stacking, loading, unloading, tranporation etc. complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge.
Proof rolling with 8/10 tonne power roller over Sub-Grade of the road to achieve proper consolidation including watering etc complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying (12 / 25 mm) thick hot mixed hot laid premixed bituminous concrete as Seal coat using 10 mm down graded stone aggregate, bitumen not less than 7% by weight of total mix of grade VG-30 or 60/70; over bituminous macadam or water bound macadam road surface /asphalt road surfaces, cleaning the road surfaces by wire brushing, brooming including mechanical mixing, transporting, mechanical spreading, machine laying to required line, level, camber and compacting thoroughly with 8 to 10 tonne power road roller etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Providing and applying 2.50 mm thick marking strips (retro-reflective) of approved shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surfaces including cost of materials, labour, Tools and plants, cleaning the surfaces of all dirt seals, oil, grease and foreign materials etc. all complete as per specification, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge.
Supplying & fixing on Exposed surfaces the following sizes uv-stabilized Chlorinated Poly Vinyl Chloride (CPVC) pipes & Fittings of specified class having thermal stability for both hot & cold water supply consisting following items of work:- i) Supplying CPVC pipes and all required CPVC plain and brass threaded fittings, SDR - 11 having thermal stability for hot & cold water supply of approved make conforming to IS:15778 with ISI mark for CPVC pipe having nominal size up to 50 mm and conforming to ASTM F 441 (IPS SERIES) Schedule 40/80 for CPVC pipe having nominal size 65 mm (2½”) and above. ii) Supplying & providing providing CPVC/GI flanges, any other required specials and other jointing materials for connecting the CPVC pipe lines with spool pieces of water tank and for connecting the CPVC pipe lines with any fittings & fixtures etc., of the water supply line iii) Laying and fixing the pipe and specials on exposed surfaces/ underground, to correct line, level and plumb for water supply line, using metal straps (On wall surfaces) at 1.00 mtr. interval or as directed by the EIC. iv) Jointing the pipes and Specials using Solvent cement conforming to IS:15225 & Teflon tape ( For threaded joins ) of approved makes including cutting the pipe to required size, preparation of surfaces, necessary tools etc. all complete.
v) Cutting or making hole or chases in RCC or brick work structure such as wall, column, beam, slab, chajja, dado etc. for passing the pipe line and reinstating all the damage to its original condition. vi) Testing the pipe line as per relevant code to a hydraulic pressure of 10 Kg / Sq.cm to assess leakages if any, rectifying the defect, retesting etc till water tightness of pipe line is ensured. vii) CPVC pipes and fittings/ specials shall be of same brand. NOTE: 1) The rate shall also include for cPVC pipe & specials required for making connections with the existing GI/ CPVC/PP-R/ UPVC/HDPE pipe line laid by other agency. 2) All threaded joints shall be made with brass threaded fittings only. 3) Exposed pipe fixing arrangement include providing & fixing slotted G.I. section & U clamps bolts arrangement for grouping of pipe. Sloted section thickness should not be less than 2mm.
