REPLACEMENT OF FLOORING WITH PU FLOORING AND CERTAIN OTHER REPAIR WORKS IN TECH FLT HANGAR AT AF STN NAL

Material and labour for preparing the existing concrete surface and application of 6mm thick PU flooring in any colour (Colour as approved by GE) including grinding, scarifying. cleaning of surface from dust, moisture & foreign material from the floor. The floor shall be cleaned by using solvent/degrease/cleaner to remove residues for floor cleaning all mechanised equipment shall be used like scrubber, snaders, hot blowers, vaccum cleaners, moistures test machine by applying following method complete all as specified and directed. (a) Repairing the minor damaged cement flooring due to formation of dents and potholes and repair with suitable epoxy mortar material Stanrose Staroxy Epocrete or equivalent and make surface suitable for flooring. (b) The entire existing concrete surface area will be properly cleaned. (c) The sound test is to be carried out by hitting the surface with a hammer/suitable tool, to ensure proper surface/concrete floor. (d) Vacuum the joints/cracks if necessary to remove all loose material and mix the mortar with proportionate Stanrose Staroxy Epocrete material or equivalent for ensuring surface consistency and preserve it into the crack tightly. Scrape off the excess material to be in flush with the floor surface. Allow the mortar to cure for a minimum 6 hours. (e) Application of Staroxen SL 1000 or equivalent Scratch Coat of 1mm thick. Mix component A and B (i.e. Resin and Hardener) mixed scratch coat material as per thickness of Staroxen SL 1000 or equivalent Scratch Coat into a mixing pail at the pre weighted ratio and mix the contents throughly using suitabe tools and add Part C filler gradually. Apply it on the prepared surface and spread it over the recommended area by using a steel trowel/brush or roller. Ensure that the entire area is covered evenly. Allow curing for a minimum period of 6 hours.

(f) Application of Topcoat Staroxen SL 1000 or equivalent of 5mm thick: while applying the topcoat with Staroxen SL 1000 or equivalent is a breathable polyurethane Cementitious four component system. Resin, hardener, aggregates & colour concentrates, supplied in pre-measured packs. Pour the entire contents of resin into the mixing bowl, add hardener and mix with a stirrer and add the colour concentrate and mix to obtain a uniform homogeneous mixture. Gradually add aggregates and mix well. Transport the mixed material to the placement area and pour the contents on the floor. Spread them evenly over the surface using a steel trowel to obtain an uniform and even surface. Run the spike roller over the surface to remove any air bubbles. Allow to cure for a minimum period of 24 hours, before allowing any foot traffic. The product should obtain smooth matt finish after curing and should have following properties:- (i) Abrasion resistance tested as per ASTM D 4060 < 40 mg. (ii) Shore D hardness of > 85. (iii) Tensile Strength of > 8 Mpa. (iv) Flexural strength of > 21 Mpa. (v) Compressive Strength > 50 Mpa. (vi) Adhesive to Concrete of more than 1.5 Mpa or until concrete fails. (vii) Slip resistance classification > 38 as per E 303. (viii) Surface spread of flame of CLASS 2 as per BS476, part 7. (ix) Cure time of 12 hours for foot traffic and 48 hrs for vehicle traffic at 30 degree C. (x) Chemical resistance capable of withstanding resistance to spillages of oil, grease, jet fuel. (xi) Temperature Resistance: -40°C to 130°C. (xii) Warranty: 5 years warranty against peel off from the substrate. Note:- The PU flooring shall be executed by one of the approved manufacturers authorised applicator only. The Contractor shall submit necessary documents in this regard and same shall be approved by GE. All materials used in this system shall be of single manufacturer to ensure compatibility and proper bonding. All material is to be delivered to the job site in the manufacturers original packaging and shall be executed through authorised applicator only.
