Bio-Mining of legacy waste at Theettukkal Compost yard Phase-2 in Udhagamandalam Municipality

Reclamation of exiting dump site through Bio Mining process includes Excavating the existing mixed compacted garbage which underwent biological degradation in the land portion allocated/earmarked by Municipality and loosening the garbage, spraying consortium of micro organism to sanitize and stabilize the loosened material and heaping them for stabilization, Controlling of mal odour by spraying of suitable microbial inoculums, sieving them after stabilization by using Mechanical sieving machine or any other equipment at the cost of the Bidder, adopting eco friendly and nonpolluting process in order to reduce the impact of dumping site in the adjacent areas, further segregating the excavated garbage into as many kinds and categories as possible at the cost of the Bidder including cost of any power or fuel consumption, Selling, diverting for recycling, marketing and recycling the excavated materials..Creation and maintenance of infrastructure, facilities and amenities at Bidder's risk and cost, for sieving, the excavated garbage, storing the segregated materials. Deployment of necessary manpower, materials, equipment’s, tools and construction of plants and sheds and creation of facilities for handling, separating, segregating and storing for the operation of the plant. Leveling the earth surface by bull-dozer or any other earth moving equipment. Providing security arrangement for the plan project site, machineries, equipment etc. at the cost of the Bidder. Completing the work within the Contract Period as directed by the Departmental officers. The entire segregated materials shall be sold/disposed within fifteen days. The bidder should maintain the Ambient Air quality within the standard prescribed and the activities should not attract any public complaints.
