Rehabilitation of main Bridge at Chadoora

Part A (Main Bridge)

Dismantling of existing bridge components including RCC deck slab, wearing coat, kerbs, crash barriers, RCC/PSC girders, diaphragms, pier caps, pier shafts, abutments or any other structural elements, complete in all respects as per Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Specifications (Section 202 & relevant clauses) and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The work shall include: Careful dismantling using mechanical means such as hydraulicbreakers, jack hammers, concrete cutters, diamond wire saw cutting machines,etc. Lifting and removal of girders using suitable heavy lifting equipment such as hydraulic cranes, crawler cranes, truck-mounted cranes, gantry systems,strand jacks, chain pulley blocks, winches, or any other npproved equipment.Providing temporary supports, staging, cribbing, bracing arrangements to ensure structural stability during dismantling. Cutting of reinforcement/PSC strands (where required) using approved methods ensuring safety. Lowering. stacking, salvaging (if specified), and disposal of dismantled materials including loading, unloading, and transportation up to all leads and lifts Traffic management arrangements, barricading, diversion, signage, and safety precautions during execution. Re-handling, shifting, placing, aligning, and fixing/re-installation of girders at designated locations, wherever required, to proper line, level, and camber as per drawings and EIC instructions. The itemshall include all labour, machinery, tools & tackles, fuel, consumables, scaffolding, insurance, safety measures, and incidentals necessary to complete

Dismantling of flexible pavement (bituminous courses) by mechanical means and disposal of dismantled material upto a lead of 1 kilometer, as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Concrete elements (deck slab, pier caps, shafts, etc.) based on actual volume dismantled. including disposal with all lift and lead upto 1000 mtr including disposal of residual outsite muncipal limits all complete.

Structural steel/PSC/RCC girders including disposal with all liftand lead upto 1000 m (The payment for this item is subjected to the actual measurement)

Extra for cutting reinforcement bars manually/by mechanical means in R.C.C. or R.B. work (Payment shall be made on the cross sectional areas of R.C.C. or R.B. work) as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Boring, providing and installing bored cast-in-situ reinforced cement concrete pile of specified grade concrete mix, diameter and length below the pile cap,to carry a safe working load not less than specified, excluding the cost of steel reinforcement but including the cost of boring with bentonite solution and temporary casing of appropriate length for setting out and removal of same and the length of the pile to be embeded in the pile cap etc. all complete includingremoval of excavated earth with all lifts and leads(Length of pile for payment Shall be measured from top of shoe to the bottom of pile cap) By Crawler mounted, telescopic boom hydraulic pilling Rig all complete. 1200 mm Dia Pile M35 Grade (Truck Mounted rotary/TMR/Tube wellboring machine shall not be used)

Vertical load testing of piles in accordance with IS 2911 (Part IV) including installation of loading platform by Kentledge/Anchor pile method and preparation of pile head or construction of test cap and dismantling of test cap after test etc. complete as per specification & the direction of Engineer-in Charge. Single pile above 50 tonne and upto 100 tonne safe capacity Initial test (Test Load 2.5 times the safe capacity)

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (hydraulic excavator) in trenches for foundations, drains, pipes, cables etc. (not exceeding 1.5 m in width) and for shafts, wells, cesspits and the like not exceeding 10 sqm on plan, including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms lift upto 1.5 m, including getting out excavated earth and disposal of surplus excavated earth as directed, within a lead of 50 metres Ordinary Rock incl dewatering.

Providing and laying stone soling in trenches and foundations using approved quality hard stones of specified size, including hand packing, filling of interstices with stone chips/spalls, watering, ramming, and consolidation to achieve a firm and even surface, complete in all respects as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The item shall include dressing of bed (if required), supply of materials, all labour, tools & tackles, carriage of materials within all leads and lifts, and all incidental charges necessary to complete the work.
