Repairs to Flexible Pavement of Runway, Taxi Track and Links (PME) and Connected Painting Work at AFS under GE (AF) Jorhat

M&L for applying Polymer Modified Emulsion Runway Grade (PME-RG) for flexible runway, taxi track and links from authorised manufacturer for medium consumption @ 0.91 to 1.5 litres per sqm in two coats (1st coat applied with 60% to 70% and 2nd coat with 40% to 30% of material. After each coat, surface to be kept clear for 4 to 6 hours). The work shall be carried out using mechanical spraying machine by skilled, qualified and authorised applicator for uniform application to maintain quality performance of finished surface. PME must have penetraion values of 10-20mm and initial setting time of four to five hours but not more than eight hours post application complete all as specified and as directed.

(f) Trial Patch: Any number of trial patches of dimension 15 m x 15 m at selected place for application of PME as directed by GE will be undertaken before commencement of treatment and cost for the same deemed to be included in rates quoted for above item. On approval of trial patch the by GE, Contractor shall immediately procure the total qty of material required as per trial patch consumption as directed by GE and also submit PVs and test reports before commencement of work. (g) Penetration value and Setting Time: PME must have penetration value 10-20 mm and Initial setting time four to five hours but not more than eight hours. (h) Friction Test: Contractor will make necessary arrangement for procurement of Portable Skid Resistance tester (PSTR) and carry out necessary friction parameter as directed without any extra cost to the department. Friction parameter shall be between 0.35 to 0.60 after application of PME. (j) Filling Cracks: Care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks upto 5mm size with mineral filer as per manufacture instructions. (k) Authorized applicator certificate should be enclosed before commencement of work along with approved sample.

M&L for preparation and cleaning of existing asphaltic / concrete surface with wire brushes, etc. and applying one coat of road marking paint (aqua base) white paint over main runway area, width or girth exceeding 100mm complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparation and cleaning of existing asphaltic / concrete surface with wire brushes, etc. and applying one coat of road marking paint (Aqua Base) Golden Yellow/Orange/Black for taxi lines, holding point, ORP, turn pad, dispersal, signal square, wind direction indicator base, letters, etc. with width or girth exceeding 100mm complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparation and cleaning existing and old treated concrete/asphaltic surface and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint of white colour as in side strip over 100mm width or girth not otherwise descreibed complete all as specified and as directed.
