Item Breakup - A-Alteration in PI/EI

"Modificatio/Alteration (Electronic Interlocking) : Alteration Modificatio/Alteration in existing EI (Electronic Interlocking) as per latest RDSO guidelines/TAN. It includes: Design and modification in existing Interface and Interlocking circuits and logic of EI system including modification in the VDU (Video Display Unit)/ LCP (Local Control Panel)/ CCIP (Control cum Indication Panel), Maintenance terminal (MPC), Data Logger, Relay rack wiring. The complete work should comply with the latest RDSO specifications and guidelines and as per approved SIP and circuit diagrams. All the material (Interface cards/relays/wiring material/connectors/fuses/communication devices etc.) shall be provided by the contractor. The work also includes the supply of modified Selection table, interface Circuits, VDU/LCP/CCIP diagram etc. to suit the modified SIP. All plans/drawings/circuits etc. should be prepared on AUTOCAD, softcopy to be supplied on Pen Drive and 06 sets of hard copies also to be supplied. i) Alteration involving modification in up to 10 routes."

Supply of earth electrode mild steel Numbers galvanized, light class, IS:1239(PART-I)- 1979.earth electrode pipe should be with 3 mm thick, 50 mm dia and perforated (staggered),5 mm dia holes, 2 nos per 305 mm length with clamp of MS FLAT (galvanised) of size 35 mm x 6 mm (SPEC.NO.226 STD). Earth pipe should include CI threaded cap. Materials to be procured and designed as per CSTE/ER'S DRG.NO.S&T-1/2007.

Item Breakup - J-Trenching & Cable Laying

Excavation of cable trench as per cable cum route plan, 1.2 Mtr. deep and of 0.3 Mtr. wide at bottom without brick as per DRG. NO. S&T/C-40(NKG), SK/4/95/NKG, SK/8/95/NKG. or latest alongside the track in all kinds of soil, conforming to distances as per cable route plan and refilling. This work includes clearing of route from bushes etc. The work shall be done as per the extant practice on Eastern Railway and instructions of Railway Engineer at site. In case 1.2m depth of trench is not achievable due to site conditions, specific approval of JA grade officer will be required for each site where trench depth of 1.2m is not possible. Without the approval of JA Grade officer, no payment for trenching will be made for trench depth less than 1.2m. Note:-(a) for all trenches from distant signal to home signal and to relay room, the minimum headway above the uppermost cable in the trench should be 600mm. If due to a large no. of cables headway is not available, 4" of 1:2:4 concreting should be done, (b)Payment will be made as per actual work done on pro- rata basis, if required depth is not available at site & (c) if the depth of trench is not uniform in a span of 100 mtr. or shorter lengths if site condition demands along the cable run, minimum depth will be taken for that particular stretch for payment.

Laying of S&T Cables of various cores/ pairs/ Metre quads in trenches/ GI pipes/ RCC pipes/ DWC pipes/Trunking. This also includes laying of cables in track crossings & road crossings. Item includes provision of labels of coloured plastic adhesive tapes or any other identifiable material on eachcable to give the cable number at each Gantry Post/hectometer post.(Cables will be meggered before and after its laying by contractor under supervision of Railway Representative and he will submit the meggering report of each testing). Length of the cable laid includes the length of the cable coiled for termination purposes. (Here unit Metre means RM)

Digging of trench 1.2 Mtrs. deep from rail cum flange/ road level and 0.3 Mtrs wide and back filling after placing of DWC/ RCC/GI pipe. (Placing of DWC/RCC/GI pipe covered separately).The ballast disturbed be screened and dressed as required by Engineer-in-charge or his representatives and road tarred immediately. Contractor will also supply flexible/corrugated HDPE pipe at the end of GI pipe to protect the cables from sharp edges and sudden bends.
