GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF MULTI-STORY BUILDING AT CSIR-CRRI, OFFICE CAMPUS, NEW DELHI-110025

Earth work in surface excavation not exceeding 30 cm in depth but exceeding 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan including getting out and disposal of excavated earth upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m, as directed by Engineer-in- Charge All kinds of soil (Different Locations in CSIR-CRRI Campus )

Mobilization and demobilization of man power and drilling equipment from one location to another in CSIR-CRRI campus within 400 m distance after completing the geotechnical investigations. (3 different locations as directed by Engineer-in-Charge)

The field investigations include the following: Drilling of total 6 bore holes of 150mm diameter (02 BH each at 03 different Locations) up to 25m depth or refusal (whichever occurs earlier) from the existing ground level and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.(in accordance with the Indian standard code of practice). (i). Collection of disturbed soil samples @ every 0.5m depth M intervals. (ii). Conduct the SPT test @ every 1.5m depth intervals (iii). Collection of 100mm dia undisturbed soil samples @ 3m depth intervals.

Beyond refusal, the boreholes are to be drilled using Nx size drilling bit with double tube core barrel in soft/weathered/hard rock strata as per site requirement and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (i). RQD (Rock Quality Designation) (ii). Rock Core Recovery (iii). Measurement of ground water table in all boreholes (iv). Prepare log of boreholes Conduct the relevant laboratory test (as per relevant IS codes) on soil/rock samples collected from the field, analyzing the test results. Report should include the recommendations about the type (Open & Pile) foundation, depth of foundations, safe BC for open foundations and load carrying capacity of pile as per relevant BIS

Supplying & filling fine sand in borehole at any depth, in required diameter all leads & lifts, all complete as per direction of Engineer -in charge.

Disposal of building rubbish / malba / similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste materials by mechanical means, including loading, transporting, unloading to approved municipal dumping ground or as approved by Engineer-in-charge, beyond 50 m initial lead, for all leads including all lifts involved.
