SERVICES FOR RUNNING AND OPERATION OF PASSENGER LIFTS AT HQ 21 CORPS DRONACHAL BHOPAL

Mannning & operation of four lifts installed in HQ 21 Coprs Adm Bldg at Dronachal by deploying 02 Nos of skilled lift operators in a shift for 08 hours (from 0800 Hrs to 1600 Hrs) on all working days including sundays & holidays as per office schedule of HQ 21 Corps all as directed by Engineer-in-charge (a) 8 Passenger Machine room less lift (with gear less motor) to serve Ground + 4 floors - 02 Nos of lifts (b) Goods lift (with geared motor in Machine room) to serve Ground floor + 4 floors. - 02 Nos of lifts Note- 02 Nos of FGM for one shift.

Note:- (i) The minimum qualificaiton of the person employed as lift attendent be 10th pass, techincal qualifiction :- ITI pass in relevant trade and min three years working experience in relevant field. (ii) The operators employed should have sound knowledge of operation of lifts, function of various parts, controller unit for starting, stopping and running of lift, recue operation for safety in case of power failure or in case of emergency. (iii) He would be responsible for cleaniness of lift car, lift well/shaft and Machine room, regular examination of lifts, including necessary adjustment, greasing and oiling so as to keep the equipment in proper oprational state as directed by Engineer-in-Charge (iv) He should be able of tracing / diagnosis of the faults and shall be responsible to attend and rectify the faults of internal and external nature. (v) The trades men engaged for operation of passenged lift can be shifted to operate the goods lift and vice versa on the discretion of the Engr-in-Charge. The contractor shall quote considering the same.

Important Notes :- (i) Minimum wages as per Minimum Wages Act 1948 shall be paid to the tradesmen by the contractor. Proper wages paid record shall be maintained and submitted to Engineer-in-charge. Contractor shall supply log book, attendance register, payment register and operator shall be responsible to maintain the log book daily and submit to department duly completed along with attendance register and payment record register at the end of every month. All provisions as laid down in Contract Labour Act 1970 such as payment of minimum fair wages, working conditions, etc shall be complied by the contractor. (ii) The contractor shall quote the rates for deputing man power and reliever arrangement as per labour commissioners rule requirement of labours as given in BoQ. (iii) The contractor shall carry out routine check and maintain check sheet daily/ weekly/ monthly all as per manufacturers instructions/SOP and upkeep the equipments, rectify normal troubleshootings and will submit daily updated log sheet at the end of every month in the AGE E/M office. (iv) Verification of antecedents of Contractors representatives/ trained personnel/labour deployed at site in connection with execution of work under the contract, as per security requirement of User Unit/installation shall be the responsibility of the contractor and all expenses in connection with verification of antecedents by Police Authority/security Agency shall be borne by the contractor. (v) Contractor will provide all kinds of stationary as required for the work as directed by the Engr-in-Charge during currency of the work. (vi) All tradesmen will be in uniform (grey colour formal trousers with full sleeved light blue colour shirt) with name plate/badge as approved by GE, cost of these is deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (vii) All tradesmen shall be individually life insured under group insurance scheme or any other scheme for minimum of Rs.1.00 Lakh. Insurance certifcate in this regard shall be submitted to Enginer-in-charge before commencement of work. (viii) If the quoted amount is less that the estimated cost of the work i.e, as per NIT amount then the lowest bidder will have to deposit FDR/BGB in favour of Accepting Officer within 07 day of opening of Financial Bid for the difference in estimated cost i.e, NIT amount and quoted amount. In case the said FDR/BGB is not submitted wihtin the stipulated period as mentioned above, the contractor shall be banned for 06 months and his bid will be rejected. FDR/BGB shall be released only after satisfactory completion of work. (ix) The contractor will ensure that all lifts are functional before taking over the assets / equipment from the Engr-in-Charge. (x) The lift operator shall be responsible for operation of fire fighting equipment as installed for HQ 21 Corps he will inform concerned JE / AGE E/M immediately in case of any emergency.
