Repairing , cleaning, treatment & testing of Earth pit : Cleaning of earth pit & removing of earth from the earth pit chamber, Solt water treatment using salt water to improve the earth pit resistance value including measurement of earth pit resistance after treatment, greesing of nut bolts, hinges, etc., painting MS frame & cover with one coat of red oxide & two coats of enamel paint, including painting of Earth pit resistance value & date of testing, all as requide & instructed by E-I-C. scopw of work includes measurement of earthing strip continuety from earth pit of testlink box/LT panel.

Repair & Testing of lightning protection system including measurement of loop resistance of down conductors, Scraching, cleaning & removal of paint/water proofing materials on horizontal conductor , tightning of all the joints at terrace & near test link box, replacement of rusted nut bolts with SS nut bolts greesing of nut bolts etc. in V.S.Bhavan buidings, Note:- payment for SS nut bolts will be made against item no 7.4 & 7.5:

Repair & Testing of lightning protection system including measurement of loop resistance of all down conductor & horizontal conductor at terrace, tightning of all the joints at terrace & near test link box, replacement of nut bolts with SS nut bolts whereever rusted, greesing of nut bolts, etc. in the following buidings: Note:- payment for SS nut bolts will be made against item no 7.4 & 7.5:

Repair work in the buildings of Height up to 25 Mtr using scaffolding as per following specifications : Dressing of existing GI Strip down conductors from terrace to Ground floor includes following 1) Cleaning of GI strip removal of paint/ cement etc. 2) fixing on wall / slab / column / beam with 16SWG GI saddles & 3 mm thick G.I. spacers at an interval of 500mm with all fixing accessories. 3) Cleaning of Joint removal of paint/ cement etc. 4) Removal of nutbolts by cutting with grander. 5) Welding the joints in all four contact ages, painting the joint with black bituminous compound/Zink spray. 6) Providing 2 nos SS nut bolts of suitable size on joints . Specification for Scaffolding : Double M.S. tubular for (as per requirement of the height of the building), scaffolding using 'H' frames of M/s. Acrow India (or) equivalent with horizontal and vertical rows at suitable spacing as per I.S. specification suitably overlapped at junctions and cross braced wherever required securely tied, supporting the scaffolding with building members as per permitted by the Engineer-in-Charge, including providing necessary safety belt and helmet to the workers and dismantling & taking back the scaffolding, safety belt and helmet after the repair works are completed all as per specifications and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE: 1. The building is (as per requirement of the height of the building) and the contractor has to observe all safety procedure while working on heights as per I.S. 3696 (Part-I) - 1987. (Safety Code for scaffolds). 2. Labours working on the scaffolding should be with safety belts, helmets and they should wear the same while working. Labours seen not wearing safety belts and helmets shall be sent out of the work immediately and a penalty of Rs.1000.00 per person per day will be levied. 3. All working platform must be of minimum 600 mm wide, made of M.S pipe and must have guard rails as per specification. 4. Contractor has to provide nylon mesh and screen to avoid falling bodies at his own cost and no extra payment shall be made for same. 5. The workers engaged on the repair work are required to be insured as per Government norms at the cost of contractor. 6. Necessary aluminium/ M.S. ladder shall be provided at the cost of the contractor, to the full height of scaffolding at required location around the building to enable Departmental Supervisor/ Engineer climb up and closely watch the repair work of the building. 7. The contractor shall provide at least 1 set of safety belt and helmet of approved make and quality to each worker before commencement of work. 8. All pipes of scaffolding shall be at least 40mm n.b. dia heavy class seamless pipe. 9. The agency has to provide 8mm dia. S.S anchor fastener at his own cost. The anchor fastner should be fixed @ 2nos (minimum) per floor or gable end wall/ external lift wall 10. After completion of work anchor fastner should be cut and sealed the gap with polymer modified mortar properly . 11. recovery shall be made it anchor fastner fixed less than minimum requirement @ Rs.150/per anchor fastner. 12. Design of scaffolding for carrying out above work as per all relevant IS Codes & specification shall be submitted by contractor within 10 days of award of work.

Scope of work includes following 1) Cleaning of GI strip removal of paint/ cement etc. 2) Removal & refixing on wall / slab / column / beam with 16SWG GI saddles & 3 mm thick G.I. spacers at an interval of 500mm with all fixing accessories. 3) Providing 2 nos SS nut bolts of suitable size on joints. 4) Removal of nutbolts by cutting with grander. 5) Welding the joints in all four contact ages, painting the joint with black bituminous compound/Zink spray.

Repairing of existing earth pit

Providing 150 mm thick concrete wall chamber of suitable size duly plastered having size 500 X 500 X 500 mm heavy duty (minimum 6 mm thick) M.S chequered plate cover, associated materials like 40 x 40 x 5 mm angle iron frame work, hinges, locking arrangements, lifting hook etc. including excavation of ground in all types of soils, refilling & removal of excess earth within a radius of 3000 m etc., including measuring & recording earth pit resistance, all as required & instructed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- The chamber cover & frame shall be got approved by Department & painted with two coats of red oxide & two coats of enamel paint including painting of Earth pit resistance value & date of testing.

Welding 2 nos capsule type hinges on existing MS chequered plate earth pit chamber cover as required & instructed by EIC.

Providing Funnel to existing earth pit chamber pipe including welding on existing pipe.

Providing M8 x 50 SS nut bolts with 2 nos washer in existing earth pit

Providing M6 x 50 SS nut bolts with 2 nos washer in existing earth pit

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of GI pipe earth station with 38-40 mm dia class B GI pipe of 4. m length confirming to IS 3043 complete with all required materials like coke / charcoal, salt, G.I nut bolts, washers, 150 mm thick concrete wall chamber of suitable size duly plastered having size 500mm x 500mm x 500 mm , heavy duty (minimum 6 mm thick) M.S chequred plate cover, associated materials like 40 x 40 x 6 mm angle iron frame work, hinged locking arrangements, complete with funnels, GI test links (50 x 6 mm) with clamp of 50mm x3 mm G.I strips for connecting G.I pipe & test link etc. including excavation of ground in all types of soils upto 1mtr depth / upto hard rock & there after making 150mm dia 4. deep bore hole from ground level, refilling with alternate layers of charcoal salt & removal of excess earth within a radius of 3000 M etc.,including measuring & recording earth pit resistance, all as required as per the standard drawing of earthing, specifications & instructed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- 1) The chamber cover & frame shall be got approved by Department 2) Painted with one coat of red oxide & two coats of enamel paint including painting of Earth pit resistance value & date of testing.

Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of hot dipped 25 mm x 6 mm GI strip in ground excluding excavation in all type of soil, interconnection of earth strip & continuous welding the joints in all four contact ages, painting the joint with black bituminous compound, painting with two coats of black bituminous compound for earth strip in ground etc. all as required & instructed by the E-I-C. Excavation will be paid separately.

Fabrication, supply & installation of galvanized GI Test link box of size 450 x 100 x 100 mm fabricated from 16SWG MS CRCA sheet, including replacing existing nut bolts with SS nut bolts etc.with required hardware all as required & instructed by E-I-C

Earth excavation in hard rock/soft rock & breaking the existing drain wells & reinstallation:-

Removal of paver block / shahbaz stone / existing drain wells & refixing as per original to the entire of satisfaction of E.I.C.

Providing 1 : 3 : 6 PCC on existing excavated road/ PCC all as required & instructed by E-I-C.
