Scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surface in area not exceeding 400Sqm exceeding 50mm and not exceeding 100mm deep complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for WBM 7.5 cm thick (compacted thickness) with coarse aggregate with lime stones, sand stones, flint or quartize of grading 2 (63mm to 45mm size) or grading (50 to 20mm size)spread rolled and consolidated with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to gradient and camber required complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Kankar or laterite incl shingle or gravel (GSB) , spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient 75mm thick and camber required all as specified and directed.

Surface excavation n. exc (not exceeding) 30cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Forming embankments including raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layers n exc. 30 cm thick; watering, ramming/ rolling and finishing to required size shape etc n exc 1.5m heigh from base complete all as specified and directed.

Rolling & consolidating formation surface in cutting/filling incl watering as required filling in hollows and depressions which occurs during the process of rolling using 8 to 12 tonne power roller all as specifed and directed complete all as specified and directed.

M&L soling (or sub base ) 150mm thick (spread thickness) with broken boulders or quarried stone, interstices filled surface formed and rolled and consolidated with 8 to 10 power rolller to gradient and camber requried all as specified and directed.

M&L for moorum filling in floors or pavings, laid in layers n exc 7.5 cm thick, spread, levelled and rammed including watering to both side of road all as specified and directed.

Premix bituminous macadam with 4% paving using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) bitumen binder, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness upto maximum 75mm), complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Repair to pot holes any depth not exc 1 sqm each and depression in patch over 50mm, shall also be carried out under this item.

Preparing water bound macadam /GSB surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing cacked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirts etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for applying evenly a priming tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen VG-10 at the rate of 10kg per 10sqm on WBM surface and preparation of surface complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for applying evenly priming /tack coat with paving bitumen at the rate of 5 kgs per ten Sqm on prepared black top surfaces complete all as specified.

M & L for bituminous premixed asphaltic semi dense 40mm consolidated thickness, using paving bitumen VG-30 with 5.5%. binder content by weight of total mix spread by means of self propelled mechanical spread/paver rolled and compacted to required camber and grdient by using Tandem vibratory steel wheel static steel wheel and pneumatic tyre rollers min capacity 12 tonne complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

M & L for bituminous premixed asphaltic semi dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness, using paving bitumen VG-30 with 5.5%. binder content by weight of total mix spread by means of self propelled mechanical spread/paver rolled with minimum capacity 12 tonne and compacted to required camber and grdient by using Tandem vibratory steel wheel static steel wheel and pneumatic tyre rollers min capacity 12 tonne complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

Note for item No.14 to 15 : (a) Preparation of mix in hot mix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with deployment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable on this account. (b) To achieve marshal stability of 1050 KN and all as per SSR Part-I Clause No. 20.B.4.

M&L for applying 2mm to 2.5mm thick road marking strips/lines/dashes/arrows/letters(retro-reflective) of specified shade/colour using hot thermosplatic material by fully/semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profiles shoes glass beads dispenser propane tank heater and profile shoes driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of materials labour etc on new/old road surface including T&P cleaning the road surface of all dirt seals, oil, grease and foreigh material etc complete all as specified and directed. (Make: Barger/Asian/Nerolac) Note :- (i) The rates shall be inclusive of mixing glass beads (ballotini) in thermoplastic material. (ii) The quantity of ballotini included/mixed during the manufacture of material should not be less than 20% by mass of mixture or applied to the surface of the thermoplastic immediately application is complete @ 300 grms / sqm as directed by Engr -in-Charge. The ballotini shall comply with BS6088 : 1981 (1993) "Specification for Solid Glass Beads for use with Road Marking".

Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for painting of two coats synthetic enamel paint over kerb stone in white/yellow/black shade incl priming coat on new surface laid as per design approved by Engr-in-charge.

Removing excavated soils not exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of road STUD (CAT eyes) of size 100x100x20mm made of polycarbonate with electronically welded prismatic retro- reflective lens panel of approved colour on both side for maximum retro reflection in wet and dey condition non breakable dust proof type fixed with epoxy chemical nails screws and clamps complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of dark eye solar studs RED,Amber or white of size 100 x 100 x 21mm, height without stump - 21mm, height with stump 55mm, stump dia 33mm, LEDs electronically operated with 4 Nos solar cell, Battery - 1600MA/1.2 volts Ni-Mh mono-crystalline 2.4v/0.3 watt, aluminium reflective frame- ploycarbonate weight of stud 360 gms , complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Make : Dark eye / Greenlite or equivalent in performance of makes as specified in particular specifications

S&F in replacement refelective convex mirror of dia 800 mm and mounted over mild steel pipe 40mm bore (med grade) and 2.5mtr long incl excavation of post holes of size 400x400x600 mm depth 1:3:6 type C2 complete all as specified and directed
