Plotting initial levels: Computer Plotting of the theoretical cross section profile based on the initial levels of ground, recorded in the level books for cuttings/embankments at intervals of 11 25m or less including computation of theoretical profile/quantities duly deducting quantities for bridges and any other structure not requiring execution of earthwork in A4 size sheet with contractor's material, man power, consumables, tools and plants etc., and as directed by Engineer-in- charge. NOTES: i) Plottings and calculations are to be submitted to Railway in 3 sets. (ii) One cross section in one A4 size sheet is required.
Plotting final levels: Computer plotting of the theoretical & actual final finished cross section profile, duly indicating different type of strata available/ excavated in the x-section, based on the final levels recorded in the level books for banks/ cuttings at intervals of 25m or less, including computation of theoretical/actual quantities done as per classification of different types of 11 soil/blanketing material as certified by Engineer-incharge duly deducting quantities for bridges and any other structure not requiring execution of earthwork in A4 size sheet with contractor's material, man power, consumables, tools and plants etc., and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. NOTES: i) Plottings and calculations are to be submitted to Railway in 3 sets. ii)One cross section in one A4 sheet is required. iii) For embankments, computation of different soils viz., cut spoils, contractor's own earth, blanketing material are to be shown separately as per measurement recorded.
Fixing reference pegs: Striking out of centre line of railway alignment using total station or any other latest survey equipment and fixing centre line pegs of adequate size with Railway's tie bars/cut rails at every 100m on straight and 25m in curves, at bridges etc., with contractor's surveyor, equipment, all consumables, labour etc. NOTES: (i) The reference pegs shall be fixed along the alignment at appropriate locations to provide information for execution of formation, bridges, ballasting and linking of track throughout the period of construction. (ii) Contractor is responsible for maintaining the reference pegs including shifting in case of shifting of alignment or to facilitate construction. (iii) The reference pegs shall be usable as temporary bench marks wherever required.

Supplying, providing and removing heavy duty shoring for excavation in foundation trenches for bridges and buildings only near existing bridge/track/building to a depth not less than 3.0m as per specific shoring plans issued by the Dy.Chief Engineer-in-charge based on Railways Sketch No...ST/CN/BNC/06-2009, with Contractor's all materials (excluding rails to be supplied by the Railways free of cost but to be returned by the Contractor), with all lead, lift, labour, transport, tools & 11 plant, consumables, etc., complete and as directed by the Engineer - in - charge. NOTES: (1) Rate is per square metre (sqm) of elevation area of the shoring. (2) The item shall be operated with the specific approval and drawing issued by the Dy.Chief Engineer and shall be used only in unsafe/instability conditions involving depth of excavations to more than 3.0m below the ground level/existing foundations/to slope of existing formation sleeper than 1:1. (3) Total payment under this item shall be restricted to a maximum of 10% of the payment for earthwork and/or concreting done upto 3.0m below ground level/existing foundation level only as specified.
BASE PIPE FOR FIXING OF ELECTRICAL POLES : Providing and fixing MS / GI pipes 11 150mm dia (inner dia) for fixing the electrical poles to the crash barrier including all materials, labour, lead and lift with two coats of red-oxide paint and basement, poles should be welded with base plate complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.
JUNCTION BOX: Supplying and fixing junction box of size 18x9x6 made of 18 gauge MS plate with clamping arrangement to fix the connectors inside the box as per the drawing and instruction of Engineer-in-charge
Excavation along the alignment of signalling cable/OFC/power cable carefully and exposing the same without any damage, and excavating the new trench along the railway alignment 11 or along the alignment as specified by the railway Engineer-in-charge, laying or removed cable, filling up all complete with sand and laying a layer of brick with contractor's own material, tools and plants etc., as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. NOTE: 1. In case the cable is damaged cost of restoration and the cost of cable will be recovered from the contractor. The decision of the railways with regard the cost to be recovered will be final.
Dismantling of lifting barriers of the level crossing including dismantling of booms (two 11 numbers), winches, wire ropes, winch platform, AC sheet roofing if any complete to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge and transporting the same and handing over to SE/PWAY/stores with Contractor's men tools and plants complete. (Note: Both side lifting barrier).
DECK SHEETING: 1. Designing, supplying, fabricating and providing of trapezoidal roll formed deck sheeting profiles of 50mm depth made of galvanised steel troughed metal decking plate over cross girders/supports for cast-in-situ deck slab of ROB. Thickness of deck plate shall be 1.00mm (minimum) and shall serve as permanent shuttering to deck slab of 250mm (max) thickness measured over crest of metal decking and shall have adequate strength to support the weight of 11 green concrete and imposed loads during concreting over a span of 2000mm between supports. Deck sheets to be embossed to facilitate enhanced sheet to concrete bonding with contractor's all materials, men, equipment, tools and plant, fixing arrangements, all lead and lift and the work to be carried out above Railway tracks and 25 KV OHE electrified area without affecting Railway traffic and damage to Railway properties as directed by Engineerin- charge. NOTE: 1. The rate includes submission of manufacturers design calculations/test reports, technical details and the supply to be taken from reputed manufacturing.
METAL BEAM CRASH BARRIER: Providing and erecting a ''W' metal beam crash barrier comprising of 3 mm thick corrugated sheet metal beam rail, 70 cm above road/ground level, fixed on ISMC series channel vertical post, 150 x 75 x 5 mm spaced 2 m centre to centre, 1.8 m high, 1.1 m below ground/road level, all steel parts and fitments to be galvanised by hot dip process, all fittings to conform to IS:1367 and IS:1364, metal beam rail to be fixed on the vertical post with a spacer of channel section 150 x 75 x 5 mm, 330 mm long complete as per specifications and drawing No. Dy. CE/CN/HAS/16-2014 A & B.

(i) Manufacturing of Retro-reflective board - Caution Indicator / Stop indicator / Speed indicator / Whistle Board / any other board with 1.50 mm thick MS plate and MS plate stiffeners on M.S. 'T' angles 75 mm x 75 mm x 6 mm and 4.75 m long approximately as per the specified drawing including cutting, drilling holes in the angles, providing hold fasts, bolts and nuts with washers of required size, bolting, welding and; (ii) Painting the angles with colour bands of specified colours over 11 one coat of primer as per the specified size and painting on the M.S. plate the required parameters in specified colour(s) on specified background colour(s) in a professional manner with font size as directed with contractor's retro-reflective enamel paints of approved quality over one coat of primer and; (iii) Supplying the board. All of the above shall be executed with contractor's skilled personnel, tools and plant, vehicles, machinery, fuel, consumables, loading, unloading with all incidental charges and in all kinds of weather conditions and site conditions including crossing of tracks wherever required duly observing all safety precautions and including all lead, ascent, descent, taxes, duties, cess, surcharges, fees etc. completely as per the special conditions / specifications / regulations, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and as per the note(s) below. NOTE: The length of angles given is approximate and may vary as per site condition as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The rate is the same for any additional requirement up to a maximum of 2.0 m additional length.
Casting and laying in position M35 grade pre cast concrete facia panel / pre cast CC blocks with architectural finish of suitable size and thickness as per approved drawing, but not less than minimum 140mm thick excluding architectural finishes and including (Earth work excavation for foundation, providing initial leveling pad (minimum 150mm thick and having suitable width) as necessary, using M15 grade plain cement concrete. Extra for using steel conforming to MT Grade Designation E350 instead of Grade Designation E250 of Quality "B0" as per IS: 2062 Metallizing of steel work of girders with sprayed aluminium after surface preparation by Sand/grit blasting, followed by one coat of etch primer (IS:5666) & one coat of Zinc Chrome primer (IS:104) and two coats of aluminium paint (IS:2339) with all labour, T&P and material as a complete job duly conforming to all relevant specifications and process given under Clause 39 of IRS-B1- 2001. Note: Nominal Thickness of sprayed Aluminium coating shall be 150 microns. DFT of Zinc chrome primer shall be 25-30 microns and DFT of each coat of Aluminium paint shall be 12-14 microns.
On new girder during fabrication
Providing and fixing railing used in Kg rows for footpath or anti-crash barrier railing with B class G.I. pipe 65/50 mm nominal dia including cost of M.S. angle and channels in vertical posts, welding / bolting, priming painting with one coat ready mix Zinc Chromate conforming to IS:104 with DFT of 25-30Microns, followed by one coat of Zinc Chrome red oxide conforming to IS:2074 with DFT of 25 Microns with all material, labour, T&P as a complete job. Note: Cost of painting shall be paid extra under relevant item.
Supplying, Fabricating and fixing MT access ladders, inspection platforms, Trolley refuges etc., on bridges with structural steel conforming to IS:2062 including welding / bolting, priming painting with one coat of ready mixed paint of Zinc Chromate (IS:104) with DFT of 25-30 microns followed by one coat of Zinc Chrome Red Oxide (IS:2074) with DFT of 25 microns with all material, labour, T&P as a complete job. Note: Painting shall be paid separately under relevant item. SWR-CONST-HQ-ENGG/SOUTH WESTERN RLY Design, supply, fitting and fixing in position true to line and level POT- PTFE bearing of 200 MT Capacity, consisting of a metal piston supported by a disc or un reinforced elastomer confined within a metal cylinder, sealing rings, dust seals, PTFE surface sliding against stainless steel mating surface, complete assembly to be of cast steel / fabricated structural steel, metal and elastomer elements complete as per IS:2062, IS:1030, AISI:304, AISI:316, IS:6911, BS:3784, IS:3400, IS:226, BS-5400, Bridge Code and as per approved drawing and Technical Specifications. The design of the bearings shall be submitted by the manufacturers / contractor and got approved from Railway before fixing. Test report after inspection of the bearings shall be submitted and got approved before the materials are lifted from the manufacturer premises.

(2) The Contractor shall keep one pick up Truck of minimum 1.5T payload capacity with Driver all the time and all expenditures for running at an average of 80 kms per day shall be born by the Contractor. Fabrication bending/machining and fixing of check rails of all rail sections over PSC Sleepers as per Railway's approved drawings & specifications for level crossings / trolley paths/inspection lines in yards duly cutting rail flanges, wherever required to correct alignment and level, drilling of holes with machine in check rails and fixing to Running rail and sleepers with all Railway's fittings, e.g. rail screws / grip expansion bolts, brackets, packing pieces, bolts, washers etc including grinding of brackets if required, fixing of Railway's wooden blocks at flare ends duly cutting and plaining, crossing of tracks and as directed by the engineer in-charge Note: 1. Drilling of holes in PSC Sleeper and fixing of dowels shall be paid under relevant item. 2. Required P.Way materials will be supplied at SSE/P.Way stores.
Manufacture of flared portion of Set Guard Rail by cutting and bending to required shape & RDSO's approved drawings. Note: (1) Rails shall be supplied by Railways. (2) One set consists of two rails i.e. both left and right.
Providing and fixing of flared portion Set of guard rails of any rail section over PSC sleepers including fixing of with all fittings, including leading of rails and fittings, squaring and adjusting spacing of sleepers as required, providing nose blocks duly cutting wooden blocks supplied by railways and fixing it with bolts of 16mm dia as directed complete and finished as per RDSO's approved drawing.
