Preparation & submission of soil investigation report in sixupulate by conducting soil investigation after making bore holes 150 mm dia in any type of soil but excluding rock up to max 15 m depth or upto the depth of refusal, collecting, disturbed and undisturbed samples, conducting standard penetration test (SPT) at 1 mtr, 1.5 mtr, 2 mtr interval thereafter or on change of strata and laboratory test like Triaxial shear test, unconfined compression test, Grain distribution curves & pattern in bore holes, Type of soil, C value, Bulk density, Natural moisture content, Dry density, Water table, Specific gravity, Atterberg limit, Hydrometer analysis, Liquid & Plastic limit, Swelling Index, Evaluation of liquifaction potential IS-1893 Part I -2016. Note : (i) Each bore hole will be measured upto depth of refusal or 15.00 m whichever is earlier. (ii) Rate includes mobilsation of T&P as per requirement and direction of the Engr-in-Charge. (iii) If the water level is high (more than permissible limit) contents of sulphate, chlorides or any other dissolved materials should be brought out and appropriate recommendation be offered. The required chemical analysis to be undertaken for the same.

Compilation of Field and Laboratory test results, Preparation of reports, Recommendation for depth of embedment, water table, submission of all report booklets 06 (Six) copies with CD 01 (One) copy including photographs & videography duly indicating the following :- (i) Evaluation of safe bearing capacity of the soil with respect to shear failure test and permissible settlement (Total and Differential) alongwith recommendation about type of foundation and minimum depth of foundation to be adopted for subject work. (ii) Specific suggestions if any for Soil Treatment if required below foundation /ground floor / roads and type of treatment to be carried out. (iii) Bore log diagram duly showing the different layers of strata met alongwith their depths. (iv) Evaluation of liquefaction potential.

Vetting of geotechnical investigation report from any NIT(National Institute of Technology)/IITs(Indian Institute of Technology) and submitted in Six numbers/sets and soft copy before construction of wall to GE Narangi for approval of accepting officer.

Designing of of following works from reputed consultant / agency should be vetted from any NIT(National Institute of Technology)/IITs(Indian Institute of Technology) and submitted in six numbers/sets in hard as well as soft copy before construction of retaining wall to Accepting Officer for approval-. (i) Design of Retaining wall including all relevant arch and structural drawings in proper scale showing each and every details /measurements/ dimensions etc Note :- Similar nature of TD drawings are uploaded for reference only.

Surface excavation n.exc (not exceeding) 30 cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out in soft/loose soil

Bringing approved earth (as approved by GE) from sources outside defence land including all cost such as royality if any, transportation, taxes etc for area filling / forming embankments. Notes:- (i) Earth required for the item shall be supplied by contractor from out side MOD land of any lead, at his own arrangement. (ii) All cost of procurements of earth including cost of transportation,royalities,tax etc shall be deemed to be including in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) With reference to clause 3.6 of MES schedule Part-II on serial page No 21 it is clear that measurement of the above item shall be finished embankment/traverse of filled earth after consolidation / compaction and 5 % deduction shall be made from measured and calculated volume to allow for increase in bulk. (iv) Total quantity/partial quantity of earth may not be available in Narangi area. The contractor shall bring the earth outside area. It is advised to quote the rate considering availability of soil and its lead involved. (v) Forming embankments shall be measured & paid separately under respective Items.

Rolling & consolidating formation surfaces in cutting/filling with 8 to 12 tonne Power roller including watering as required, filling in hollows and depressions which occur during the process of rolling complete all as specified and directed. Note : Charges of power roller for rolling is deemed to be included in this Item and no extra payment will be admissible on this account

Excavating over areas, n exc 1.5 m deep and getting out in soft / loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.50 m wide and not exceeding 1.50 m in depth for foundations,etc or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes etc. not exceeding 10 Sqm on plan and not exceeding 1.50 m in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and exc 1.5 m in depth but n exc 3 m in depth; for foundation of poles, cable, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and exc 1.5 m in depth but n exc 3 m in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed

Surface dressing n exc 15 cm deep in soft/loose soil

Returning, filling in incl spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers n.exc.25cm thick complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated material n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point.complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for providing precast cement concrete (1:3:6) type C1 (using 20mm graded broken stone aggregate) Block Masonry with solid block, of size 300 x 150 x 100mm and setting in CM (1:6) complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Soling (or subbase) with broken boulders or quarried stone spread thickness150 mm interstices filled surface formed and rolled with 8 to 12 tonne power roller and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. Note : Charges of power roller for rolling is deemed to be included in this Item and no extra payment will be admissible on this account

M & L for 150 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM (in two layers of 75mm thick each layer) with coarse aggregates of grading-2 (63 mm to 40 mm size) using sand stone, lime stone, flint or quartzite, spread, rolled and consolidated with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to gradient and camber required complete all as specified and directed. Note : Charges of power roller for rolling is deemed to be included in this Item and no extra payment will be admissible on this accoun

M&L for preparing of unsurfaced WBM by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 10 kg per 10 sq metre using paving bitumen.

M&L for preparing of black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 kg per 10 sq metre using paving bitumen.

Note:- Mixed in hot mix plant of capacity not less than 30 ton per hour laid with electronic sensor paver.

M&L for Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder(Paving bitumen VG 30) content by weight of total mix and grading of aggregate & design criteria as specified in SSR Part-I clause No 20.B.2.5.4(e) & 20.B.2.11 and mix at hot mix plant, spread with mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient required with 8 to 10 tonne power roller and all as specified in para 20.B.4 & sub para 20.B.4 of MES Schedule Part-I complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix round pipe delineator of 50 mm dia and 900mm in height, made of 16 gauge MS pipe powder coated having three deflective bands of different colours, as required as white/red/green/yellow etc. protected by MS Jalli, as approved by GE, embedded in PCC (1:2:4) type B1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) (size of block 30cmx30cmx30cm) complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- PCC for foundation and earthwork is included in quoted rate.

M&L for painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters,etc. on roads, pavements and the like not exc 10cm wide with road retroreflective thermoplastic road marking paint, white or golden yellow 2mm thick with glass beads complete all as specifed and directed.

S & F ABS road stud/Cat Eye of size 108mm x 100mm x 20mm with reflective panel of colour Amber or red made of micro prismatic lens in both direction having thermoplastic body with flex resistance base & abrasion resistive coating including fixing of road surface with special adhesive and suitable rivet head nail completed as per manufactures instructions and directed by Engg-in-Charge.

Dismantling of bricks (laid flat or on edge) or brick tiles in floors, channels,kerbs, aprons, etc. (each layer) complete all as specified.

Grubbing up tree trunk having girth exc 30 cm & n.exc 100 cm including cutting of trunk portion protruding over ground, digging out roots, filling holes and leveling off ground, stacking of serviceable material and removing of unserviceable material to a distance n exc. 50 m and clearing site complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for rendering 15mm thick on fair face of bricks of brick wall/Concrete surfaces in CM 1:4 finished even and smooth without using extra cement with WPC complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Steel Tubular Swaged Poles Type 410-SP-31 (9 Metre long) including cast iron base plate, finial taper plug, cap, mild steel bolts, screws, etc. including applying two coats of black bituminous paint internally and externally upto planting depth and applying two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of aluminium primer (externally from top of RCC copping) including painting of black & white alternate strip of 30cm each externally from ground level upto 1.2m and writing MES Pole No. with synthetic enamel paint (first grade quality) complete all as specified directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- (a) Earthwork and PCC will be measured and paid separately (b) Volume occupied by Steel Pole shall be deducted to derive the quantity of PCC.
