MANNING AND OPERATION INCLUDING REPAIR MAINTENANCE OF WATER SUPPLY INSTALLATION AND FIRE PUMP HOUSE INCLUDING DG SET AT ARGA UNDER GE SB KARWAR

Manning and operation of water supply installation at fire and drinking water pump house Arga bay in 02(two) shifts of 8 hours each on all days including Sundays and holidays including minor maintenance/checks all as specified and as directed. The installation comprises of the following equipments:- (a) Water pump HP-75, Head – 50 m, discharge – 200 cum/hr. of make – Kirloskar Brothers, coupled with induction motor 3 phase, 415 volt, RPM – 1430, HP – 75 of make – Chrompton Greaves – 5 Nos. (b) Chlorine Dozing pump model-402, pressure-8 kg/sqcm, discharge – 160 LPH of make – Milton Roy, coupled with induction motor 3 phase, 415 volt, RPM – 1430, HP – 5 of make – Bharat Bijlee-2 Nos with connected accessories and 1000 ltr capacity PVC storage tank-01No. (c) Fire water pump HP-156, Head – 88 m, discharge – 273 cum/hr of make – Kirloskar Brothers, coupled with induction motor 3 phase, 415 volt, RPM – 1430, HP – 156 of make – Chrompton Greaves – 2 Nos. (d) Jockey pump HP-30, Head – 88 m, discharge – 30 cum/hr of make – Kirloskar Brothers, coupled with induction motor 3 phase, 415 volt, RPM – 1430, HP – 30 of make – Chrompton Greaves – 2 Nos.

Notes for Item Nos 1 & 2 :- (a) The rates quoted shall be inclusive of all taxes ,cess, levies etc as applicable including GST (b) The prevailing rate,wage,contribution etc shall be as applicable as on the bid submission end date. (c) In view of COVID-19 alerts various restrictive instructions issued concerned authorities from time to time. Hence additional precautions essential for the work shall be taken by the contractor by way of provisioning of masks, hand sanitizers, gloves etc to workmen and all local instructions issued by the Concerned Authorities and Station Authorities shall be complied with all relevant safety precautions covered under Model Rules for the protection of health and sanitary arrangement for workmen (Annexure ‘C’) of IAFW-2249) shall be strictly followed. Nothing extra is admissible on this account (d) The contractor shall also deploy additional man power as relief against weekly off,leave,holidays etc all as per existing Labour Act and shall substitute the operator accordingly for which no extra payment admissible. The unit rate quoted against items in Schedule ‘A’/BOQ shall be inclusive of this provision also. (e) The contractor shall pay the wages to the operator through e-payment i.e Aadhar linked bank accounts and Credit to their bank account. The wages shall not be less than prevailing minimum wages fixed by state Govt or central Govt whichever is more.

(f) Contractor has to employ minimum following staff for manning and operation of the fire pump house installations at serial item Nos 1 & 2 above:- (i) One No skilled electrician/Fitter general mechanic operator per shift of 08 hrs (Total 04 shifts per day i.e 2 shifts per day for each water supply installation at serial item Nos 1 & 2 above) having minimum ITI qualification in respective trade from govt recognized institution with adequate knowledge with minimum two years experience in maint & operation of water supply installation. The operator must be competent to carry out the minor maint of water supply installation all as specified and as directed.

(ii) One No skilled valve operator per shift of 08 hrs (Total 04 shifts per day i.e 2 shifts per day for each water supply installation at SI No 1 & 2 above) having minimum ITI qualification in respective trade from govt recognized institution with adequate knowledge with minimum two years experience in maint & operation of water supply pipes & valves. The operator must be competent to carry out the minor maint of water supply pipe line & valves all as specified and as directed. (g) Chemicals for chlorination/dozing shall be measured & paid separately under respective items of this schedule here in after, however the cost of labour is deemed to be included in then unit rate quoted against item No 1 & 2 above. (h) Each shift duration shall be of 08 hrs & shift timing will be decided by Engineer in Charge. (j) The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include for daily minor maintenance like checking and rectification of any water leakage, loose connection, cleaning and general up keep of pump room/GLR/HTR and area around it. (k) Power supply for operating the installation and diesel for running the DG set shall be made available by the department free of cost. (l) DHPP (Diesel) shall be issued under Sch 'B' for filling only. Contractor has to make his own arrangements to collect the DHPP with good quality of empty vessel (barrel) shall be arranged by the Contractor. (m) The operator shall ensure general area cleanliness and upkeep of the installation on daily basis.

(n) The routine preventive maintenance /checks shall be strictly carried out by the operator all as stipulated in the operation & maintenance manual. (o) In the case of absence of operator, penalty will be charged as doubled as quoted rate or Rs 1000/-per shift whichever is higher besides any loss/damages occurring during the period which will have to be made good by the contractor without any extra cast.

(p) The unit rate quoted shall deemed include for maintenance for earth pits, cutting & removing of vegetation and upkeep of the surrounding area, all round the building upto 6m from the plinth protection all as specified and as directed. In case of failure, a penalty of Rs 2000/- per month shall be levied and recovered from the contractor. (q) The contractor shall provide 02 uniforms to each operator and design of uniform shall be got approved. In case of failure, a penalty of Rs 100/- per day per operator shall be levied and recovered from the contractor. (r) The rate quoted shall deemed to be inclusive of safety gear & required tools for minor maintenance. In case of failure to provide tools kit & safety kit (Gum boots- 02 pairs, hand gloves), a penalty of Rs.3000/- shall be recovered and levied from the contractor. (s) The contractor shall maintain proper records of all kinds of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly or whatsoever maint is carried out during contract period in a binded book/register and shall obtain the signature of Engineer-in-Charge every fortnightly.

Supply only following chemicals for chlorination/filteration of water:-

(a) Supply only alum lump grade 1st quality

(b) Supply only calcium based granular disinfectant having chlorine concentration 65%-70%. Note for Item Nos 3.1 & 3.2 : The chemicals shall be supplied periodically as per requirement and as directed.
