16. Contractor shall ensure that no tree/plant cutting shall be carried out during Pipe Line Laying operations.Trenching shall be carried out manually if needed, so as to ensure no damage to plant/tree/OFC /water pipe line /foreign pipeline/telephone line/sewage line/electric cable and other under ground utilities. 17. Payment for items above under pipeline laying in all type of Rocky strata including hard rock of single piece exceeding 1.5 meter in any direction within the trench dimension with respect to length, width & depth and removal only by pneumatic chisel/ drill/ rock-breaker.Trenching in rockey starta shall be done by rock breaking tool / rock hammer. Supply and installation of padding materials (i.e, sand / soft soil) shall be done as per direction of EIC. Bidder to quote accordingly. 18. Bidder has to familiarise themself the entire pipeline route and all locations /region/ charge area within the GA and ascertain all type of eventuality/uncertaintity before qouting their bid.

1.Survey Agency for execution of GPR Survey Work to be engaged by the Contractor shall be submitted for approval of GAIL/CMC prior to start of work.
Asphalting
Restoration of the roads, pavements, channels, footpaths, tiles, stones etc. to original condition including supply of the approved quality material requierd, as per local authorities norms, obtaining NOC from land owners/ third party inspection agencies/Consultant designated by GAIL and to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.

Restroration of the all kind of pathway: Restoration by using excavated material such as tiles/pavers/granite/red stone etc by providing PCC 1:4:8 of 50mm thickness below after compaction of the filled soil, fixing the Tiles/Paver blocks/Granite etc and matching it to the existing surface. Item includes providing of extra finished material if required.such as Tiles/Paver blocks/Granite etc matching to original pathways.
Asphalt road : Restoration of bitumen Asphalt road after laying of pipe line as per the specifications and instruction of Engineer-In-Charge. Restoration of roads shall be done as per requirement of RMC/MCD/PWD/LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS & BODIES, BUILDER, RWA and to get NOC from the concerned authorities. Restoration of the asphalt road cut portion for pipeline trench width shall be carried out by filling the bottom layer with good earth/Soil filling followed by 225mm thk. GSB & 250mm thk. WMM with top bituminous layers comprising of 50mm thk. DBM & 40mm thk. BC matching with the existing road top level. This item also includes disposal of surplus soil /debris with all lift & leads, cutting of Top layer of asphalt road by mechanized saw/cutters for maintaining straight line.

Supply of all coating repair materials as per requirements of specification to be compatible with line pipe coating material, supply of all consumables, utilities, equipments and all manpower required, pipe cleaning and surface preparation, repairing of coating defects (resulting in holiday) and testing including all handling, transportation, etc. for line pipes, performing all works necessary for the completion of the works stirctly in accordance with relevant specification and instructions of Engineer-In-Charge. This rate shall be applicable per sq. cm of the exposed steel area exposed steel area.
PERMANENT MARKERS
Supply, fabrication and installation of all types of permanent markers along the route including all associated civil works such as excavation in all types of soil, construction in all types of soil, construction of pedestals and grouting with concrete, clearing, supply and application of approved colour and quality of primer and paint, stencil letter cutting for numbers, direction, change etc., restoration of area to original condition and performing all works as per drawing, specification and instruction of engineer-in-charge.

HYDROSTATIC TESTING OF BURIED PIPELINE
Carrying out cleaning, gauging, pigging & hydrostatic testing a of complete pipeline section laid by HDD/Opencut method as approved by EIC/RCM to specified pressures (i.e. 1.5 times of the design pressure) for 24 hours holding period; providing all equipment, pumps, test headers, fittings, instruments, dead weight tester, pressure recorder, tempearature recorder , pressure & temperature gauge etc., and services, supervision, labour, consumables, water including supply of corrosion inhibitor, air, etc. as required for successful completion of hydrotesting of pipeline to acceptance criteria as per specifications, codes, approved drawings, calculations, methods and as directed by Engineer-in-charge and provision of contract document. Complete dewatering and swabbing of the pipeline as per specification and to the entire satisfaction of the EIC/RCM.
Notes: i) The above quantity is not for a single section but for no. of sections for pipeline laying. ii) The quantities mentioned against the above SOR items are tentative and may vary depening upon the site condition during excecution stage. iii) Payment for gauging activities shall be made under a separate SOR item mentioned elsewhere in this SOR.
Swabbing of pipeline sections
(ii) Leak detection, its rectification and successfully re-hydrotesting shall be carried out as per approved procedure by Contractor with a view that completion of all activity for successful hydrotesting is not inordinalely extended which will hamper the overall project schedule.
GAUGING (Applicable for main pipeline route, excluding branch pipelines as decided by the EIC)
Notes:- i) Above quantities for various pipelines sections.
ii) For swabbing, a minimum of five (5) runs using a combination of low-density and high-density pigs shall be carried out. Swabbing shall continue until the acceptable limit, as mentioned in the technical specifications, is reached.
(ii) Leak detection, its rectification and successfully re-hydrotesting shall be carried out as per approved procedure by Contractor with a view that completion of all activity for successful hydrotesting is not inordinalely extended which will hamper the overall project schedule.
GAUGING (Applicable for main pipeline route, excluding branch pipelines as decided by the EIC)
Drying by Vacuum drying / Super air drying / Super dry nitrogen
Complete work of carrying out drying by Vacuum drying / Super air drying / Super dry nitrogen & commissioning of pipeline section including supply of manpower, equipments & consumables (nitrogen reqiured for purging etc.), materials for all temporary works and performing all associated works, complete as per the relevant specifications, other provisions of Contract document and instructions of Engineer-in-Charge.
Note: The quantities mentioned above for various pipeline sections. Final methodology of drying shall be decided by EIC at the time of execution.

PRESERVATION OF PIPELINE
Preservation of pipeline sections and associated facilities (in event of delay in ROU acquisition/statury permissions, comissioning, other unforeseen reasons) including supply of nitrogen, all consumables, all equipment, man-power, etc. complete as per the requirements of specifications, other provisions of Contract document and instructions of Engineer-in-charge.
By filling and pressurizing with nitrogen to a pressure of 2 bar(g) for a period of one month.
For every additional period of one month or part thereof
Notes: i) The above length is not for a single section but for no. of sections.
ii) All accessrious ie;Two nos. of dished end caps and two nos tappings of 3/4 inches,PG to be considered per section and rate for the same shall be quoted by bidder under this item.
iii) If month is partially complete, payment shall be made on prorata basis.
PIPELINE LAYING LIASIONING & CO-ODRINATION (INCLUDING UTILITY CROSSING) AND OBTAINING PERMISSION / NOC FROM THE STATUATORY / CONCERNED AUTHORITIES. ASSISTANCE IN ROU OPENING & CLOSING AND THEIR MAINTAINENCE/ MANAGEMENT. (EXCLUDING STANDALONE CROSSINGS)
Submitting request for (after obtaining the letter from client) permission , follow up , assisting in site inspections / route suevey / site report making/making site inspection drawings , submitting at designated offices , resubmission after correction , modification if required , soft and hard copy in nos. as required /if required in sizes , and collecting permission from the statuatory authorities including NHAI , PWD , Railways , Irrigation , Forest , Municipal Corporation, District administration, River Authority,SEZ etc. Obtaining work permits /NOC from various statutory authorities having jurisdiction before execution of the work and complying with all stipulations /conditions/recommendations of the said authorities. Only statutory fees shall be paid by the owner. Assistance in required length and width/restricted width of ROU opening & closing and their maintainence/ management both side of the crossings.
TRANSPORTATION OF LINE PIPE FROM OUTSIDE RANCHI GA
"Receiving and taking over", handling, lifting, loading on trailers, transportation and unloading of Company supplied line pipe from any storage yard (other than the designated storage yard for the project) to worksite / contractor's storage yard/ any other storage yard or as decided by EIC. The above work also includes stacking the pipes on wooden sleepers/ sand pads. Above work shall be carried out as per standard drawing, specification, instruction of Owner and other provision of contract document.
Notes: i) The quantities given in above item no. are tentative only and shall not be considered to be binding. The quantities may be increased, decreased or deleted as per the actual site requirement and instructions / recommendations of Owner. The unit rate shall be operated to work out the final payment to the contractor.

iii) Safe storage of transported linepipe till installation , reconcillation & handingover to client shall be part of the above item.Contractor has been advised to quote accordingly.
TRANSPORTATION OF FITTINGS, FLANGES, VALVES, BARREL, ANY OTHER MATERIAL EXCEPT LINE PIPE AS PER PROJECT REQUIREMENT ..ETC FROM OUTSIDE RANCHI GA
"Receiving and taking over", handling, lifting, loading on truck, transportation and unloading of Company supplied DRS/MRS/, Metering Skids, fittings, flanges and valves ...etc from any storage yard (other than the designated storage yard for the project) to worksite / contractor's storage yard/ any other storage yard or as decided by EIC. The above work also includes stacking the DRS/MRS/Metering Skids, flanges, fittings and valves etc. properly. Above work shall be carried out as per standard drawing, specification, instruction of Owner and other provision of contract document.
iii) Safe storage of transported material till installation shall be part of the above item.Contractor has been advised to quote accordingly.
TEMPORARY CATHODIC PROTECTION WORKS
Design, detail engineering, Manufacturing, Inspection/FAT (Factory acceptance test), supply, Packing, insurance, transportation to site, storage at site, Handling, Transportation, Loading, installation, testing & commissioning of the temporary Cathodic protection system using Mg (Min 5.0 Kg Each) galvanic anodes to protect the external surface of 6"/4" dia x 16 km (appox.) long 3LPE Coated pipeline & associated works at Jamshedupur & Ranchi GA, against corrosion for a design life of minimum 2 year or till commissioning of PCP system whichever is later, as per standard specification for temporary cathodic protection system, Scope of work, Data Sheets & te
nder drawings. Scope shall also include but not limited to the following for completion of jobs:
Soil resistivity Survey & soil/water chemical analysis
Measurement of soil resistivity along the right of way of the main pipeline (At 500mtr Interval at depth of 1.5M, 2.5M & 3.5M) & collection of additional data as per specification for corrosion survey & applicable NACE standard including preparation of Design, detailed engineering, preparation of design document, preparation of Test station schedule & Bill of Material.
Collection of soil & water samples along ROW at depth of 1M, 2M & 3M at every 5 km interval (Min 03 sample at each location) for its chemical & microbial analysis along the pipeline route as per specification for corrosion survey & NACE Standard TM0106-2006 for detection of SRB, ARB & Total dissolved H2S etc.
Sacrificial anodes- Pre packed Mg anodes
Prepacked Magnesium anodes for Carrier/Casing Pipe protection (Min 5.0 Kg Each) as per tender specification (1/2/3/4 Nos. of anodes). The total nos. of anodes shall be calculated as per the corrosion survey, soil chemical analysis, total weight and current requirement of the pipeline section. However, Min one anode is to be installed at every one KM with test station.
Supply, laying, termination, Glanding and ferruling TCP-Cables--The Cables shall be annealed high conductivity, stranded copper conductor, 650/1100V grade, XLPE Insulated & PVC Sheathed in new/existing test stations and junction boxes.

20 Kg Sacrificial Zinc anodes for HT line crossing, Earthing of block valves on Cathodically Protected portion of pipeline.
Cu-wire mitigator for AC Mitigation encased in low resistance backfill with corrosion inhibitors and braiding (M/s MATCOR make or equivalent) (20 Mtr wire shall be installed on each side of HT crossing, Cables running parallel etc).
Solid state Surge Diverters rating 100 kA (10/350 uS) for Insulating Joints.
HDPE sheet (Non-toxic and Rodent Resistant, 6mm thick & 5000mm wide (1200mmx5)) between the GAIL pipeline and the other CP protected foreign pipelines at the crossing locations for providing electrical isolation.
Supply, installation, testing, commissioning of the complete earthing protection system, earth electrodes/ pit, earth main ring, earthing of electrical equipments, instrument panels, field instruments, process equipments and pipes/ flanges including all associated civil work with all material and labour as per specification and drawings approved by the company.
Earthing Electrodes 65mm dia x 3mtr long & 4.5 mm thick GI pipe for earthing of cathodically unprotected pipeline at CNG station/consumer station/DRS station/Metering skid and earthing. Total grounding resistance shall be limited to 2-3 Ohm max.

Note:a) All butt-welded fitting ends shall generally match the connecting pipe wall thickness; however, in case of any misalignment, the Contractor shall carry out the required end preparation at no extra cost.
B)All couplings, nipples, etc., as required, shall be supplied by the contractor; however, no separate payment shall be made, as the cost is deemed to be included in the erection rate.
c) Quantities mentioned against Item Codes E00100 to F00133 are tentative and may increase or decrease during the execution of the work depending on site requirements. RADIOGRAPHY
Performance of radiographic inspection by gamma radiation as per scope of work and as per specifications in piping of all types and thickness including providing/hiring of all necessary equipments, supply of all consumables, and whatever else even though not expressely mentioned but required to perform the work as per specifications and instructions of Engineer-in-Charge (full circle re-radiography of the repaired joint and additional radiography necessitated due to poor performance of contractor's welder shall be carried out by the Contractor at his own cost and shall not be paid extra by Company). Radiographs shall be submitted to the Engineer-in-Charge for acceptance, whose decision shall be final and binding.
FIELD INSTRUMENTS
Supply of Pressure Gauges inclusive of supply of erection accessories as per data sheet. (upto 300#)
Installation, Calibration, Testing & Commissioning of Pressure Gauges inclusive of supply of necessary piping materials/tubings alongwith all necessary valves & fittings, fabrication and installation of impulse lines/manifolds & hydraulic testing as per installation standard.
Note: Quantities mentioned for above items are tentative and shall be supplied with prior approval of EIC with in the quoted price.
EARTH WORK IN EXCAVATION/ SITE GRADING AND BACKFILLING
Earth work in excavation /site grading in all kinds of soil including soft rock in any plan dimension up to required depth including backfilling of excavated earth at any location in layers of 300mm and compacted up to 95% to its MDD at all heights and depths. Surplus and unserviceable earth shall be disposed up to any lead in all conditions. Soil to be levelled and neatly dressed complete in all respect as per scope of work, detailed construction drawings, technical specifications and direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
1. This Rate shall be applicable only for excavation which are not included as a part of respective SOR Item.
FIELD INSTRUMENTS
3.Rate to include cost of all labour, tools, tackles, equipment, hire charges, shoring, bailing and pumping out water as required etc. with all bye works and sundry works complete in all respects.
4.NET CUM of excavated quantity in CUM shall be measured for payment.

BRICK WORK
Providing and laying brick work with brick class designation M-5.0 of IS:1077 in Cement Mortar 1:4 (1cement : 4 sand) in steps, load bearing structures, drains, or at any other location at all depths & height for all leads including providing required finishes, curing, scaffolding, etc., complete as per specifications and drawings with all bye-works as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge.
3.Rate to include cost of all labour, tools, tackles, equipment, hire charges, shoring, bailing and pumping out water as required etc. with all bye works and sundry works complete in all respects.

Supplying and laying plain cement concrete of grade M 10 with stone aggregate 40mm down grade (including shuttering if required) in all types of concrete works including levelling courses below foundations, mass concrete works, chambers, cable trench, under floors and any other locations, at all levels and locations (which are not covered as part of composite items) as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer-in-charge.
1.Rate to include cost of all labour, tools, tackles, equipment, hire charges, supply of all materials, shuttering in all conditions etc. with all bye works and sundry works.
BRICK WORK
REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE
Providing and laying Reinforced Cement Concrete of grade M-25 with 20mm and down grade crushed stone aggregate in all types of structures like foundations, beam, columns, pedestals, pedestal bases, pipe supports, sleepers, cable trench, RCC retaining wall foundation for boundary wall etc. including excavation, PCC M10 in mud mat, shuttering, construction joints, bitumen painting on surfaces in contact with soil,supplying and fixing MS inserts, finishes etc. at all depths and levels complete as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer-in-charge.
1. Rate to include cost of all labour, tools, tackles, equipment, hire charges, supply of all materials such as minimum 43 grade OPC cement including sulphate resistant cement for sub-structures, inserts, bolts, conduits, bitumen, excavation, PCC M-10 in mud mat, other minor construction materials, shuttering , staging, testing of concrete, curing etc. except reinforcement steel with all bye works and sundry works complete.

REINFORCEMENT STEEL
Supplying and Fabricating and Fixing in position HYSD Steel Reinforcements/ TMT Grade Fe-415/Fe 500D conforming to IS1786-2008 at all levels and positions including the Cost of transportation, Straightening, Cutting, Bending, Cranking, Binding, Welding, Provision of necessary Chairs and Spacers, Preparation of bar bending schedule, getting the same approved by EIC etc., complete as per Drawings and Specifications and including Cost of binding wire, Labour etc., all complete in all respects as per scope of work, detailed construction drawings, technical specifications and

direction of Engineer-in-charge. The Chairs and Spacer Bars provided will not be measured for payment.

Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete pavement 150 mm thick in M-25 grade with 20 mm and down grade crushed stone aggregate in pavement, including earthwork in excavation, preparation of base (i.e. compacted subgrade, 200 thk sand and 100 thk PCC M-10 grade), leaving pockets if necessary, making recess, projections, fixing inserts conduit pipes (GI, PVC, HDPE, etc.) laying in alternate panels, filling the gaps between the panels with bitumen sand mix filler material etc., making slopes, finishing edges, leaving bars for pedestals & sleepers including providing sand fill isolation , shuttering, providing and fixing reinforcing steel, curing, chipping and modification works etc. as specified in any shape, thickness, position and finishing the top surface smooth as per requirement etc. all complete as per drawings, specifications and directions of the Engineer-in-charge.
150mm thick in Pavements in Process Areas (Type - I)
1.Rate to include cost of all labour, tools, tackles, equipment, hire charges, supply of all materials, providing and fixing reinforcement steel, shuttering, earthwork in excavation and backfilling using serviceable earth in all conditions, preparation of base, etc. with all bye works and sundry works. Cost of works towards pipe supports & sleepers being raised from pavement is covered under respective RCC items.
VALVE PIT
Construction and handing over of RCC Valve Pit as per tender drawing, technical specification and direction of engineer-in-charge complete in all respect. Scope of work shall be as per tender drawing.

Supplying, Fabricating & Erecting in position steel structures fabricated out of MS Girders, channels, Tees, angle, flats, plate, square hollow sections pipes etc. conforming to IS:2062 and/or from pipes conforming to IS:1161 for structural purpose for cascade supporting structure, loading/unloading platform, Gratings for platform, catladder,handrails, hoardings for sinages,Lcv stand, etc. of any size/dia for required design including cutting, welding, bolting, hoisting, fixing in position, including application of one coat of primer at shop and second coat of primer at site after erection and two coats of finishing paint at site .The work is to be completed in all respect as per specification ,scope of work, detailed construction drawings and directions of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing Fencing Structure
Supplying, fabricating & fixing steel structural fencing fabricated from pipes conforming to IS:1161 and plates conforming to IS:2062 & fixing of GI weldmesh made from 3mm GI wire @ 75 mm bothways to structural steel frame by means of welding/bolting, including applying two coats of approved quality of synthetic enamel paint over a priming coat of in approved shade including supply of all raw materials, bolts, electrodes, transportation, including making pokets & pouring with PCC (1:2:4) in of block 500x500x500 for fixing of posts etc complete as per enclosed drawing, technical specifications,scope of works and directions of the Engineer-In-Charge.
