801463/E8 PROVISION OF ROAD ON NORTHEN SIDE OF RUNWAY AND ARROUND RUNWAY COINTROLLER HUTS AT THANJAVUR

Amount

Excavation over areas n exc 1.50m deep and getting out in hard/ dense of soil all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated surplus soil to a distance exceeding 1500m and not exc 5000m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting pointall all as specified and directed.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting using power roller of capacity exceeding 8 tonne and not exceeding 12 tonne.

Soling (or sub base) in single layer of 200mm spread thickness with quarried granite stones of size 50 to 100mm, interstices filled, surface formed and rolled with power roller of capacity exceeding 8 tonne and not exceeding 12 tonne and consolidated to required gradient and camber all as specified and as directed.

Water bound macadam (WBM) 150 mm thick (compacted thickness) in two layers of 75 mm thick each layer with coarse granite aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40 mm size) each layer spread separately, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber etc., complete using power roller exceeding 8 tonne and not exceeding 12 tonne capacity all as specified and as directed.

Preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., as directed.

Applying evenly a priming/tack coat with rapid setting bitumen cationic emulsion conforming to IS-8887 @ 6Kg/10 Sqm over unsurfaced macadam surface all as specified and as directed.

Premix Semi-Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) 40mm (consolidated thickness) in single layer using bitumen of Grade VG-30 with 5.5 % minimum binder content by weight of total mix using hot mix plant and laid by using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient using power roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity power roller complete for roads all as specified and as directed. Note : No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of binder content is used / approved in the execution of work under this item.

Applying 2mm thick reflective thermo plastic, white/ yellow road marking paint conforming to BIS 3262, laid down through road marking machine in a layer of CRYSTALEX with 5 kg per sqm of paint, exc 10cm width or girth including preperation of surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign materials etc all as specified and as directed.

Precast cement concrete (1:3:6) type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in road edging (kerb stone) and setting in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and directed.
