Material and labour for taking down of ceiling fan of size 1200/1400mm for safety checking by replacing defective parts/painting/rewinding and re-fixing the ceiling fan after repairs, all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge. (Note:- The replacement of unserviceable items like capacitor, Bearings, Bush, Canopy, down rod and winding etc. shall be made as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge which will be measured and paid separately under respective items as Supply only. However, parts of minor nature such as screws, lugs, insulation tape, nuts, bolts, washers etc after cleaning the metal surface, greasing/lubricant etc to make it functional and making connection by replacing PVC insulated unsheathed cable of copper conduct of size 1.5 Sqmm from ceiling rose/ connector fan (minimum 0.50 Mtr length) including cost of labour for above replacement are deemed to be inclusive in quoted rate all as directed.

Note:- The following items shall be deemed to be inclusive in the unit rate quoted against Sl Item No 1. (a) In each job, checking the functioning of fan including its connections, cleaning of fan, greasing of fan and mechanical check i.e. tightening of loose screw, nuts, bolts, etc are inclusive in unit quoted rate.

(b) The above job shall be carried out by a trained electrician having qualified in ITI ( electrician Trade), documentary proof of the education of tradesman shall be produced, before commencement of work.

(c) The entire job will be carried out in AFTC, 2 DC area and Air Force stn Jalahalli

(d) Replacement of unserviceable parts like rubber bush, clamps, bolts, nuts, washers, safety pin, bearing etc will be paid under respective item here-in-after as supply only through proper documentation.

(e) Necessary T&P such as ladder, required manpower for taking down and refixing after repair shall be of contractor's responsibility.

(f) All types of T&P, PVC insulation tape, minor nuts, bolts, washers etc required for maintaining the services shall be provided by contractor without any cost to the department.

(g) Any fan found defective/not working shall be brought to AGE E/M store yard & re-fixed after repairing.

(h) In case of major defects, entire job shall be completed within 10 days from the date of registration of complaint, failing which penalty charges @100/- per day shall be recovered.

(j) In case of minor defects, entire job shall be completed within12 hrs from the time of registration of complaint, failing which penalty charges @ 50/- per job shall be recovered.

Supply and fixing in replacement of unserviceable Ceiling fan 1200mm sweep, energy efficient ISI marked with star rating 230 Volts AC 50 Hz, single phase including provision of fixing arrangement, nut and bolt and suitable flexible copper cable not less than 0.5 m long complete writing MES No. with synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed. Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system comprising of 17mm dia copper bonded rod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducing liquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 4-6 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation including taking down existing one, complete all as specified and directed.

The quoted rate shall also deemed to be included the following :- (i) Prior to installation of maintenance free chemical earthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthing work to be done in presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has to submit to Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection of earthing (not more than 08 number of earthing) to achive earth result less then 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testing and submission of report with recommendation deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.

(iii) Rate of earth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earth resistance reducing liquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(iv) Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor along with the sample approval

(v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH value should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.

(vi) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm shall be fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end (copper strip upto 7.5 RM shall be considered in unit quoted rate and extra will be measured and paid separately).

(vii) Testing of earth shall be carried out in presence of departmental and user representative and report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concerned.

(viii) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.

(ix) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned. After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.

(x) The contractor shall give a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.

(xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including soft/ disintegrated or hard rock.

(xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is maintained.

(xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing for each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor from final bill for the guarantee period.

(xiv) The electrode shall carry manufacturer's name .

(xv) The connection clamp shall be permanentlly welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss,.The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.

(xvi) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.

(xvii) Earth work such as auguring and making good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil.

(xviii) The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bounded rod to ensure genuineness of material.

(xix) Sign board of mild steel sheet 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc chrome primer showing result of earthing shall be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.

M&L in repair Earth pit cover made of heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 7.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm for each electrode pit, including taking down old u/s earth pit cover, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair copper strip 20 x 3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc including taking down existing old unserviceable copper strip of any description, complete all as specified and directed. Note : - All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing.

Supply, installation, commissioning and testing of floor mounted, free standing OEM made type tested LT Feeder pillar panels, with canopy, as per electrical specifications for outdoor installation to be made of CPRI approved IP65 Polycarbonate modular enclosures. The enclosures made of polycarbonate, should be weather/vermin proof, anti -acid, anti-corrossive, UV resistance in accordance with IEC 61439-1, fire retardant and self extingushing in accordance with IEC 60695-2-11, UL subject 94 for flammability V-0, should pass glow wire test for 960 degree in accoardance with 60695-2-11.Degree of protection against mechanical load should be IK08 (5 Joule) in accordance with IEC 62262,IP65 in accordance with IEC-60529 and IEC- 60439-1, should have dielectric properties, RoHS complaints & Halogen free. The manufacturer of boards/panels shall submit a copy of type test reports as per above mentioned norms either from UL/ERDA/CPRI/NABL labs in india.The panel should be modular and compartmentalized in construction with opaque and transparent doors, properly tightened to base with thromoplastic screws having sealing gaskets of extruded silicon rubber to withstand adverse weather effects. The depth of modular enclosure should be above 200mm for air circulation & to minimize temp rise. Panel should be fitted with one No polycarbonate IP 65, 9 W LED translucent bulk head luminaire color temp not less than 6500K, PF > 0.95 under canopy for easy maintenance. Panel should be fitted outside with one no of 16 A 3 Pole IP65 industrial socket and 01 No of 32A 5P IP 65 industrial socket. 3 Phase and neutral 400 A current carrying capacity of Alluminium bus bar insulated with colour coded heat shrinkable sleeves with SMC/DMC insulators,complete with the following swtich gears and mounting the panel board on ground with PCC (1:3:6) bedding upto a height of 45 CM above ground level, including dismanting and taking out U/s LT panel board and remove from site reconnecting existing LT UG Cable with new panel board all as directed :-

(h) Space for spare feeder - 01 No. Note :- (i) The contractor shall submit CPRI approved IP65 certificate and all type test reports of polycarbonate modular enclosure as per norms mentioned above in BOQ alongwith the make approval. Material and labour in repair for 3 ½ core 185 Sqmm XLPE insulated heavy duty electric cable with aluminium multi stranded conductor 1100 volts grade served with an inner sheathing of PVC tape armoured with galvanised steel wire or tape and overall sheathed laying in trenches/cable ducts, fixed to wall/pole etc, complete all as specified and directed. Disconnecting of burnt/ damaged cables from panels/ junction boxes etc, cutting out the burnt out ends, making new end joints by supply and fixing new aluminium lugs/ insulation tape etc and reconnecting using new nuts/ bolts/ washer etc and restoring three phase and neutral in the junction box, complete all as specified and as directed for the cable size from 240 Sqmm to 300 Sqmm 3.5 core of underground LT armoured cables. Note :- Earth work required for extending the incoming/ outgoing cable in junction box/ panel board etc shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted.

Surface dressing in hard / dense soil not exceeding 15 cm deep and clearing all the grass weeds etc in the sub station yards after removing stone aggregate aside all as directed at site including setting / spreading back the aggregate complete all as specified and directed at site.

Supplying and laying reinforced precast concrete cable cover, class HV, type 1 with flat, size 300mm x 180mmx 40mm, all as specified and as directed.

M&L for defect rectification in HT 11 KV cable laid in trenches by locating fault with the help of electronic fault locator machine comprising of surge generator pulse ECHP fault location with high frequency distance calculator etc. including excavation in any type of soil strata exposing the cable fault removal of deteriorated position of cable treating of cable and keeping the same ready for jointing work for cables of size upto 300 Sqmm 3 core complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : (i) The contractor shall bring the fault locating equipment at site with in 02 hours of instructions received from Engineer -in- charge and he shall ensure that the fault is rectified with in 8 hours of receipt of intimation through telephone from Engineer-in-charge failing which recovery of Rs. 10000.00 per hour shall be recovered from the contractors dues w.e.f the time immediately after the expiry of 24 hours duration. (ii) For the purpose of payment one unit of “Each job” shall comprise of detection of faults in a particular stretch of cable which are identified in that particular stretch, irrespective of number of defects / faults in that particular stretch which are detected during fault detection and the contractors unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include for the same and all such defects / faults which are detected in that particular stretch shall be considered as one unit. (iii.) Joints, jointing materials and cable required shall be measured and paid for separately

Attending, Repairing/restoring of electric power supply in the AFTC, CQAE and Jalahalli area, after identifying fault in HT 11 KV or LT 415 volt system, RMU,VCB, LT Panels, two/ four pole structure, transformers, Over head lines in any section or circuit, including checking of insulators, lightning arresters, GODs, LT Panel Boards and all electrical accessories and making it serviceable in all respect including replacement of nut, bolt, washers and minor parts/spares, insulation tapes and cable sockets of any size, complete all as specified and directed.

Note :- (i) The above work also include checking, detection and rectifcation of LT/HT UG Cable faults at AF Area as and when directed by Engineer-in-Charge/ JE (E/M).

(ii) Hiring of cable fault detector to detect exact location of HT UG cable fault deemed to be inclusive of unit quoted rate.

(iii) Major items required to be replaced/repaired shall be measured under relevant items of schedule/ BOQ.

(iv) Excavation and earth work if required shall be measured separately.

(v) compliants will be given in person or through telephone by AGE/JE E/M round the clock (ie 24 Hrs x7 Days).

(vi) In case of minor defect, entire job shall be completed within 02 hrs from the time of registration of complaint, failing which penalty charges @ Rs. 300 /- per hours shall be recovered from the contractor.

(vii) The transportation/ T&P required for the work shall be arranged by the contractor and no extra cost shall be paid for the same.

(viii) In case of major defect, the period for attending of complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC by accessing extent of repair required through joint inspection by Engineer-in-Charge and authorised service agent of the equipment at the site. If complaint is not rectified within the stipulated period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs.500/- per hours shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor.

(ix) Note that penalty is exclusively other than the condition 67 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt. The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.
