| 1.01Plant Rooms or AHU Rooms wherever called for or as shown in drawings shall be provided with acoustic insulation to reduce noise levels in such rooms. | ||||
| 1.02Acoustic insulation would be with glass wool and finished with powder coated GI perforated sheet. Acoustic panels of size 1.2m x 1.2m would be used for this purpose. 50mm x 25mm aluminium box sections would be used to form a square framework of 1.2m x 1.2m. | ||||
| 1.03Chicken wire mesh 24G x 1/2" mesh size shall be fixed over one side of this framework tightly. 50mm thick glass wool of density 24Kg/cum would be fixed into this grid over the wire mesh. | ||||
| 1.04The insulation shall be finished with RP tissue and 26G powder coated GI sheets with at least 60% perforation. These panels would then be fixed to the wall with suitable brackets such that the chicken wire mesh faces the wall side and the frame is at least 25mm from the wall. The gaps between the panels would be sealed with silicon sealant. | ||||
