CLEANING AND REPAIR TO MACHINE HOLES, SEWAGE LINES, SEWAGE SUMP THROUGH MECHANICAL MEANS UNDER ZONE A, C and D UNDER GE CHENNAI

Excavation in trenches n. exc 1.5m wide and n. exc 1.5m deep for foundation, or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes etc, n. exc 10 sqm on plan getting soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning filling in foundation including levelling watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25cm using excavated soil all as directed. Note:- For sewage line removal of surplus earth shall not be measured and shall be mounted over refilling.

Removing excavated soil to a distance not exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.50m above the starting point and all as directed.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for including disposal to outside defence land complete all as specified and directed

M & L for 75 mm thick, plain cement concrete 1:3:6, type C-2 (using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in plinth protection etc, finishing surface even and smooth without using extra cement complete as specified and directed. (Note : The concrete shall be laid at a stretch n.exc 3.0 m in length and in every turning/ corners.)

Desilting of covered drains/culverts of any size and depth including removal of mud/soil/grass and removal/refixing of cover slabs on drain/culvert etc. and disposal of soil outside the MD land complete all as specified and directed

Cleaning of sewage sump of any depth and diameter by dewatering and removal of sludge by vacuum truck (by honey sucker machine) and application lime washing inside the sumps complete all as specified and directed.

Cleaning of choked water closet/gully trap/floor trap of bathroom/kitchen/ washbasin upto first manhole complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Complaint slip shall be collected from complaint cell of AGE B/R-I office. The time of completion of job shall be 24 hours after detailment, on failure of which a fine of Rs.500/- per day per complaint shall be affected from the contractor's dues.

Cleaning of machine holes any size and not exceeding 1.5m depth including lifting, removing sludge, water and cleaning with water including cutting grass, vegetation and bushes to a width of 60cm all around machine holes complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item ser No.9 above here-in-before but manholes of depth exceeding 1.5m but not exceeding 4.00m in depth . Note for Item No. 7, 8 & 9 : The sludge and water obtained while cleaning of manholes shall be removed with mechanical sucker machine to out side MD land. The rates quoted for items shall include the above provision also.
