Recarpeting of Roads/Parkings in Transport Area Sector 26, Chandigarh.

Taking out existing Kerb & Channel of all types from footpath/ central verge, including removal of mortar etc., disposal of unserviceable material to the dumping ground, for which payment shall be made separately and stacking of serviceable material within 50 metre lead as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of size 1'x1'x4" made of plain cement concrete 1:2:4, in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete etc. as per direction of Engineer-in-charge (length of finished kerb edging shall be measured to calculate volume for payment).

Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made channel of size 2'x1'x3" made of plain cement concrete 1:2:4, in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete etc. as per direction of Engineer-in-charge (length of finished channel edging shall be measured to calculate volume for payment)

Providing and applying tack coat using hot straight run bitumen of grade (VG-10 bulk) @ 3.00 Kg/10sqm including heating the bitumen, spraying the bitumen with mechanically operated spray unit fitted on bitumen boiler, cleaning and preparing the existing road surface complete in all respect and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying 50mm thick compacted dense bituminous macadam having as laid, density 2.2 gm/cc using crushed stone aggregate confirming Table no. 500.3 (Physical characteristics) grading II of Table No. 500.4 (grading compaction) of MORT&H specification (5th edition ) premixed with straight run bitumen VG-30 bulk) penetration @ 4.50% (by wt of total mix) in 60-90 TPH Hot mix plant, laid hot mechanical paver finishers and roller with smooth wheeled/vibratory/static roller as per Clause 501.6 and 501.7 of MORT&H specification

Providing and applying tack coat using hot straight run bitumen of grade (VG-10 bulk) @2.50 Kg/10sqm including heating the bitumen, spraying the bitumen with mechanically operated spray unit fitted on bitumen boiler, cleaning and preparing the existing road surface complete in all respect and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying 30 mm thick Bituminous Concrete with 100/120 TPH batch type Hot mix plant producing an average output of 75 tonne per hour using crushed aggregates of specific grading-II with Bituminous binder @ 5.5%(by wt. of total mix) and mix 0.75% Anti stripping admixture (dense liquid form) by weight of Bitumen transporting the Hot Mix to work site laying with hyrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to required grade level and allignment, rolling with smooth wheeled vibrator and tendom rollers to achive the desire compaction as per MORT&H specification Clause 509 complete in all respect (5th revision).

Providing and applying 2.5mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour ,T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals,oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge and accordance with applicable specifications.
