Material and Labour for preparation of old painted concrete/bitumen surfaces with washing down soap water of runway, taxi track road for painting with cold retro-reflective paint including spreading of 500micron size glass beads (350gms/Sqm) by using mechanical mode of application as lines, dashes, arrows, letters and the like exceeding 10cm width or girth and applying one coat of runway road marking paint aqua based retroreflective type golden, yellow, black, orange or white colour as approved by Garrison Engineer to give uniform finish complete all as specified and directed. Make: Asian Paint Apcotrak-WBR or equivalent Note :- (i) Masking tape/ steel/ wooden frame or template should be used on edges of paints before painting work and removed the masking tape after paint is applied where ever required and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The contractor has to ensure that, the lines, dashes etc marked with paint shall be in proper shape and finish as required. Any errorneous marking shall be make good by the contractor on his own cost and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (ii) Site shall be handed over based on flying operations. contractor will be informed as soon as possible with a minimum 02 days notice period. M&L for preparing of existing concrete surfaces / plastered / unplastered surface of wall and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint in red and white with alternate square/ rectangular panel in runway / link / dispersal / PQC/ side wall area all as directed by Engineer-in Charge.

M&L for one coat of black synthetic enamel paint on three sides of DTGM (1.20 x 1.50 Mtr) installed in airfield area consisiting of black synthetic enamel paint background and red colour high intensity retro reflective tape numerical/alphabet letter (150mm width and 1000mm height) on two sides complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for preparing of existing construction / contraction / dummy / expansion joints including removing filled material in joints of runway by removing the cracking out joints 25-30 mm wide and 35 mm deep, cleaning sticked material on sides of joints with grinder/ any other mechanical mode including removing all loose material and cleaning the joints with brush and removing all loose fine particles with compressed air and providing a suitable dia polyurethane back up rod/debonding strip and top 13mm primed and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturers recommendation polyurethane sealent complying with BS-5212 & BS -4254 and EN 141875 -2003 ( for hydrolysis / water resistance test ) priming the sides with minimum MAF± 30 % (with ten years performance guarantee ) and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealent and removing the masking tape after sealent is applied complete all as specified and directed. Material and Labour for repair to broken/damage portion of concrete slab or pavement of surface area not exceeding 1 square metre by cutting damaged portion to slab/spoil edges to triangular / rectangular cross section by mechanical means and removing all loose and foreign materials and depositing the same to out side MOD land and cleaning the surface by compressed air to remove all dust dirt etc and washing with hydrochloric acid and filling epoxy resin mortar after application of epoxy primer as per manufacture instructions bull nosing the edges complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Material obtained from damaged portion of concrete slab shall be removed from out side MOD land.

Cutting of existing Runway/taxi tracks at cracks and at spalled edges upto a minimum depth of 25 to 35 mm by mechanical tools making groove at edges cleaning through air blower/air blastisng and applying propriety primer on the cleaned surfaces to obtain tack and finally filling in ELASTOMERIC CONCERETE of make Choksey Chemicals/CIPY/BASF or equivalent (prepared by mixing part A, part B and adding fiberglass sand all as per manufactureres instructions) and properly mixing in purpose made mixer plant electrically operated) to obtain a homogeneous mix and finally tooling the surface with hand tools to obtain a grooved textured finish. Note: (i) The rate shall include for providing masking tape at joints and form work required if any at spalled joints edges. (ii) The quoted rate deemed to include for making good the disturbed joint filling around the area where material is applied. (iii) All material shall only be procured directly from manufacturer.

Cutting / Scraping grass manually and removing material out side MOD land obtained from cutting and cleaning both side runway PTT near DTGM board complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Grass shall be cut and finished 10 mm to 25 mm above the existing ground level where specified as per requirement. (ii) All foreign materials (stone pieces etc) obtained during cutting of grass shall be removed from out side MOD land. (iii) Materials obtained from cutting of grass shall be removed out side of MOD land (iv) Site shall be handed over based on flying operations. contractor will be informed as soon as possible with a minimum 02 days notice period. The contractor shall accordingly make arrangements for adequate labours and material for work completion.

Material and labour for cleaning drain and culverts any shape and any size of runway and removing sludge, soil, mud, grass and vegetation roots from drain and removing of materials obtained from cleaning ie. sludge, mud, soil etc to out side of MOD land complete all as specified and directed by Garrison Engineer/ Engr-in-Charge. Note :- To determine the depth of sludge levels initially and after cleaning of drain shall be taken and recorded in MB duly signed by, Garrison Engineer, Engineer - in Charge and contractor.

Material and labour for cutting of grass, shurbs, vegetation, bush, weed by bush cutter operated slasher where ever required including cleaning the both sides edges of runway / taxiways removing of materials obtained from cutting to out side of MOD land complete all as specified and directed by Garrison Engineer/ Engr-in-Charge. Note :- (i) The contractor shall arrange brush cutter machines on requirement basis alongwith operator including POL etc from 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs (including half an hour lunch break). (ii) The output of bush cutter machine shall be 700 square metre per day per machine including cleaning/removing of materials obtained from cutting to out side of MOD land. (iii) Site/area of grass cutting shall be handed over as and when on requirement basis. Contractor shall start the work immediately whenever site is handed over to him. (iv) A log book shall be maintained by JE(Civil) and the same shall be signed by Engineer-in-Charge & contractor daily for the purpose of calculating daily working hours which shall be actual mode of payment. (v) Site shall be handed over based on flying operations. contractor will be informed as soon as possible with a minimum 02 days notice period. The contractor shall accordingly make arrangements for adequate labours and material for work completion.

Note :- (i) The contractor shall arrange one brush cutter machine alongwith one operator and helper including POL etc. (ii) Site/area of grass cutting shall be handed over as and when on requirement basis. Contractor shall start the work immediately whenever site is handed over to him. (iii) A log book shall be maintained by JE(Civil) and the same shall be signed by Engineer-in-Charge & contractor daily for the purpose of calculating daily working hours which shall be actual mode of payment. (iv) Site shall be handed over based on flying operations. contractor will be informed as soon as possible with a minimum 02 days notice period. The contractor shall accordingly make arrangements for adequate labours and material for work completion.

Supply and running tractor with minimum 30 HP capacity alongwith Cultivator/ other tools for ploughing of SGA not less than 25cm in depth complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Contractor will arrange his own Tractor and cultivator with POL & MT driver as per requirement of Air Field. The requirement shall be intimated to contractor in advance. (ii) The rate quoted rate by contractor is including of all T&P, POL and operator mentioned above. (iii). T&P should not be more than 5 year vintage. Also T&P should be at par with AirForce Requirement, if not the same can be modified to meet the requirement of the Stn.

Supply and running of grass mechanically operated tractor with minimum 30 HP capacity and cutting 50 mm to 100 mm or above slasher where ever required including removing material obtain from cutting/cleaning (both side) up to 100m from the concrete edges, size 5,6 feet, blade high carbon, type-rotary complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Contractor will arrange his own mechanical slasher (set of one tractor & Jungle Jeem) with POL & MT driver. The mechanical slasher will be in operation from 09.00 AM to 05.00 PM (including lunch break of 0.5 Hour at mid day) every day in week. however department will have the right to stop the work any time even in working day due to security/ operational point of view. (ii) The log sheet cum duty register will maintained by the contractor for record of work done and running of the tractor, this register will be signed by the contractor, JE (Civil), and Engineer-in-Charge and submitted to GE during payment. (iii) The rate quoted rate by contractor is including of all T&P, POL and operator mentioned above. (iv). On requirement contractor shall arrange more than one mechanical slasher per day as per order and T&P should not be more than 5 year vintage. Also T&P should be at par with AirForce Requirement, if not the same can be modified to meet the requirement of the Stn. (v)Site shall be handed over based on flying operations. contractor will be informed as soon as possible with a minimum 02 days notice period. The contractor shall accordingly make arrangements for adequate labours, material and additional T&P for work completion.

Supply and running of earth moving plant/Backhoe loader with minimum loaded capacity of one cubic metre of loaded bucket for excavation and levelling of soil alongwith one skilled driver and one semi skilled helper, including fuel / lubricants etc complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- (i) A log book shall be maintained by JE(Civil) and the same shall be signed by Engineer-in-Charge & contractor daily for the purpose of calculating daily working hours which shall be actual mode of payment. (ii) Earth moving plant/Backhoe loader deployed shall not be more than 5 years old from the date of manufacturing. Contractor to provide the registration documents to Engr-in-Charge on this account. (iii) Actual working hours shall be calculated based on actual running of machinary as directed by Garrison Engineer and excluding of transit hours. (iv)Site shall be handed over based on flying operations. contractor will be informed as soon as possible with a minimum 02 days notice period. The contractor shall accordingly make arrangements for adequate labours and material for work completion.

Supply and fix in repair visible sign board of area exceeding 0.70 Square metre and not exceeding 1.80 square metre each made from 4 mm thick engineering grade plastic having monolithic frangible structure to withstand temprature variations from cold environment to sweltering hot conditions and to withstand high velocity winds frmaed and braced with 40 mm dia PVC pipe best quality to with stand high ground level with best quality structure including excavating in post holes of size 30cmx30cmx45cm and embedded in PCC1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate and making plinth around frame of width 600mm and length as required, including providing / applying weather resistance coating, providing and pasting of new Sign/marking on complete board as approved by GE. Also, pasting of numerals/alpahbets with retro reflective tape cutting it as computer plotter etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Also, pasting of numerals/alpahbets with retro reflective tape cutting it as computer plotter etc complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in repair top board sheet of light signage board fixed on links/ end of runway of area exc 1.60 Sqm but n exc 2.20 Sqm. The board shall consist high glossy acrylic panel in 4 layers 1.50mm each with different colors (red/ black/ yellow/ transparent) with different letters/numbers cutted and sticked together to make link sign board meeting the specifications of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation). This item shall include opening of existing light signage board and replacing the faded top sheet of board with new four layered sign board and fixing the opened parts is in its original place. Note: This item shall deemed to be included following: (i) The letters/ numbers shall be approved in designated design as per dirns of Engineer-in-Charge. (ii) Rubber gasket fixed in board shall be changed if required as per dirns of Engineer-in-Charge. (iii) Any part/ component of sign board damaged during this work shall be replaced by contractor and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.

Material and Labour for obtaining approved earth from out side defence land to a distance as per requirement and bring out to site and deposited for forming embankment/ filling berms including spreading in layers not exceeding 30 centimetre thick, levelled and ramming with 8 to 10 tonne mechanical roller including watering complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) To arrive finished quantity for payment purpose consolidation thickness shall be measured. (ii) Earth shall be free from foreign material, i.e. grass, roots etc. (iii) The consolidation shall be done by heavy mechanical machinery of capacity exceeding 3 tonne. (iv) The specified standard proctor density under optimum moisture conditions shall be obtained and 5% deduction for bulkage shall be made.

M&L for removal of paint form concrete and bituminous surface using hydroblasting/ sandblasting with suitable vacuuming/cleaning system with suitable operating pressure so that the total paint deposits area removed from surfaces. Paint removal from rigid surface shall also be done using chemicals with arrangement of adequate water to dilute the chemical and drain off the chemical from the surface. Note:- (i) Total paint deposit should be removed and the debris/water to be vacuumed simultaneously leaving No FOD so that the Runway is available for operation immediately. (ii) Paint debris should be in solid form when finally disposed outside MOD land.

Preparing the new bituminous surfaces/ Concrete surface of pavement as work removing or cleaning of all dirt, scales, oil grease and foreign materials etc complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge and providing 2.5mm (minimum) thick and upto 100mm wide thermoplastic paint (Retro reflective type ) with mixing of glass beads in proportion as per MORTH for marking in white/yellow shade by fully automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989, fitted with profile shoe, gun, beads dispenser, propane tank, heaters and profile shoe, heater driven by skilled operator on road surfaces. Note:- (i) Thermo Plastic Paint work shall be carried out in accordance with manufacture's instructions and as specified in particular specifications. (ii) Refer MORTH specification of Para 803.4.2.1 and 800.4.2.2 on bituminous surface/surfaces in white colour or yellow colour and super imposed with glass beads confirming to BS 6088 and MORTH specification Para 803.4.3.3

S&F in repair chequered cement concrete tiles 20cmx20cmx25mm / 30cmx30cmx25mm thick with gray cement and pigment, set, jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry in floors over and including 15 mm thick screed bed or bedding layer in CM 1:4 complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Demolition of PCC floor ,plinth and paving not exceeding 15 cm thickness below or above ground level complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Material and labour 100mm thick plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-2, (Using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate) laid in alternate bays as floor, finished concrete surface with spike rolling or making impression of expanded metal whilst the concrete is green including necessary form work complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Material and labour providing, plain cement concrete 1:4:8 type D2, (40mm graded crushed stone aggregate) in foundation filling or mass concrete complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Material and labour for repair to pot holes not exceeding one sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc cutting around edges to at least 30mm in depth making good by filling in screened & graded road metal , well ramming , watering including supply of road metal and applying tack coat @ 5kg per 10 sqm using bitumen grade VG-10 putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 sqm using bitumen grade VG-30, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and cippings) depth of potholes exceeding 30mm complete all as specified and directed by Garrison Engineer.

M & L for Preparing of old black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags and power operated air blowers of adequate pressure to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen (VG-10) @ 5 Kg per ten Sqm complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Material and labour for premix bituminous macadam consolidated thickness 75mm or less using Hot mix plant for mixing and using mechanical paver for laid , rolled ,compacted with required gradient and camber though power roller, using binder paving bitumen grade VG-30 qty 4% of total mix weight complete all as specified and directed by Garrison Engineer.

M & L for Providing Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 30 mm consolidated thickness with minimum 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix, using paving bitumen (VG -30), rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed by Garrison Engineer. Note :- (i) Work shall be executed as per design mix approved by GE. (ii) The binder content specified is minimum. Any variation in binder content during design mix at site on plus side shall be borne by the contractor without any extra cost to the Government.
