The light transmission from transparent or translucent or opaque or in combination polycarbonate sheet, varies lrom 15 to 85%, shall be decided by engineer in charge as per requirement. The polycarbonate sheel shall havc Drart drop impact value more than 60 Joules as perlS14434 2023 and and confirm either flame retardance of Class UL-94HB/94V-0 category as per ISI4434 2023 or category V0 & HB as per ASTM E313(D1925) or shall be equal to more than 10 unit or 6 units respectively on a sample after 5000 Hours of exposure of UV//sunlight. The cross section ends of poly carbonate sheet shall be provided with self -adhesive aluminium impermeable tape at rop and aluminium ventilated tape at bottom of the sheet and covered with polycarbonate / aluminium u-shaped protectrvc profile. TIhe poly carbonate sheet shall be held in position by using stainless steel (SS304 grade) trapezoidal cleat of I mm thick having minimum bottom width 35mm and top width 50mm or any other shape and size as per design requirement and manufacturer specrfication, cleat fixed with 2 or more stainless steel screws of 5 mm diameter with 25mm long with structural steel framework. The cleat shall be tested to withstand pull oul force equal to wind speed of 50mis as per IS 875 and design test report shall be subnrittcd to Engineer-in-charge for approval before use.
