Earth work in excavation for casting pile cap in all type of soils, weathered rock, existing footings, removal of boulders, concrete, ballast, stone etc including protecting the excavated sides, if required, till concreting, bailing out water to keep the area clean and dry during placement of reinforcement and concrete till the concrete sets finally. The item includes the cost of disposal of all spoils, dismantled materials, surplus earth for all leads and lifts as per clause No. 304 of MoRT&H Specifications 5th revision 2013 and to keep the work area neat and tidy during the work and thereafter. Payment shall be made based on approved plan dimensions for PCC below pile cap. The cost of backfilling around the pile cap and restoration of road, if required shall be included (MORT&H 304 )
Bored cast-in-situ M35 grade RCC piles of 1000 mm diameter using Hydraulic Rig, in all kinds of soil (including hard & boulders) excluding cost of steel reinforcement, complete as per drawing and conforming to section 1100 and 1700 of MORTH specifications of latest edition and clause 709 of IRC: 78-2000/latest edition including cost of bentonite slurry, initial vertical and lateral load tests, routine load tests and removal of excavated earth with all lifts and lead upto 1000 Mtr. complete i) 1000mm dia piles.) The scope of work in the above items include: 1)The cost of all initial layout of piles and setting out, initial excavation, if any. 2 a) The cost of boring through all types of soils/existing road/pavement, removal of all obstruction like boulders, old foundation concrete or rock to be paid in relevant item above by chiseling or any other method as approved by the Engineer-in-Charge. If a bore is abandoned for any reason no payment shall be made for such incomplete boring and shifting of the equipment's. 2b)The cost of filling up of the empty bore, if required. 3)The cost of preparation, circulation and handling of bentonite slurry. 4) The cost of disposal of all spoils, bentonite waste to keep the work area neat. 5)The cost of providing temporary liner and its withdrawal, if required below adjoining ground level (irrespective of the R.L. of the adjoining ground level) for vertical piles. 6)The cost of providing and mixing all ingredients of cement concrete (except reinforcement steel) including admixtures, with batching plant, transportation, placement of concrete by termie pipe for the required lengths of pile including providing cover blocks, stiffeners, handling bars etc. for safe handling of reinforcement cage. 7) The cost of breaking of pile head not earlier than 3 days after concreting and to remove spoil concrete to bring the pile head to the socketing level including cleaning and arranging the extended reinforcement bars as per drawings. 8) The cost of working for all leads, lifts, pumping / bailing out of water, labour, material and equipment etc. 9)The cost of mobilizing to site, installation at different locations transferring / dismantling, shifting, reinstalling and removal from site of the piling rigs and/or other equipment's and all accessories including working platforms. 10) The cost of identification, protection and maintenance of existing services, if any, which in the opinion of Engineer-in-charge are likely to be affected by piling operation incl. temporary shifting of such services to facilitate piling job shall also have to be done, if so required by the Engineer-in-Charge and the cost for the same as assessed by the Engineer-in-Charge shall be reimbursable. 11) The cost of barricading and all traffic safety requirements as specified in the tender document. 12) The cost of all incidentals, labour, material, equipment and works required to execute the job. The item also includes any other incidental expenditures for completing the job as per the direction of the engineer-in-charge. 13) The item includes the cost of testing of all the materials involved in the execution of the item as per QAP. 14) Initial vertical load testing, horizontal load testing, routine load testing required as per IS: 2911 part(iv) and as per MORTH Specifications. Minimum 2 no. of tests shall be carried out for each of Initial- Vertical load test, Initial- Lateral Load test, Routine-Vertical and Routine lateral Load test.Initial Pile load test shall be carried upto failure, as per requirements of deflection as per IRC 78:2014 (with latest amendments) Routine Load test shall be carried upto 1.5 times the pile capacity B) Mode of Measurement : 1) Length of pile shall be measured from cut off level to the tip of the pile correct to a cm in case where the pile is terminated. The rock level shall be determined as per criteria mentioned elsewhere in the tender document for payment of boring trough rock. 2) Reinforcement steel shall be measured & paid separately under relevant schedule item 1.07.(MORT&H 1100 & 1700)
Providing and laying plain cement concrete M15 (aggregate 20mm nominal size) below pile caps. The rate shall include the cost of all labour, material etc complete job including bailing out water to keep the area dry as per instruction of Engineer-in-Charge. Payment shall be made based on approved plan dimensions for PCC as per clause No. 1500, 1700,2100 and 2200 of MoRT&H Specifications 5th revision 2013.

Providing and installing single strip seal expansion joints of SANFIELD/ METCO/MAGEBA with a total allowable maximum movement 80mm as per Clause 2606 of MORTH specifications for Road and Bridge Works (5th Revision) 2013 supplemented with manufacturer’s recommendations. Entire installation is to be carried out strictly in the presence of manufacturer's representative only, at all times. The seal of the expansion joint shall be such as not to permit any dust collection at all times.A) The scope of work in the item includes: 1)Cost of all materials, labours, equipment and other incidental charges for execution of this item. Supervision during installation by the manufacturer is also included. 2)Installation & fixing of expansion joints as per manufacturers specifications and design / drawing approved by the engineer-in-charge including chipping of concrete, cleaning of concrete and reinforcement bars, leveling, necessary shuttering, pre-setting, welding etc. 3)Item to include necessary provision and filling of recess for the expansion joints at no extra cost 4)The item includes the cost of testing of all the materials involved in the execution of the item as per QAP and testing of completed and installed joints as per the acceptance criteria of MORTH. B) Mode of Measurement : 1) The expansion joints shall be measured in running meters. The length payable is the actual length provided at site including vertical parts of kerbs / crash barriers, footpath etc. (MORT&H 2606) .

NOTE- 1-Payment of reinforcement steel including cutting, straightening, hooking, bending, binding, uncoiling & placing in position including cost of binding wire and shuttering shall be paid extra under relevant item of USOR-2010. 2-Mode of payment – On successful casting & testing of RCC segments, 70 % of payment against this item will be released. 3-25% payment will be released after successful placement of precast RCC segments. 4-Balance 5% of payment will be released after commissioning of RUB. Maintenance of existing track & Turnouts between and near both Road Under Bridges during and after RCC box pushing operation including all labour and T & P, handling, rehandling and putting of ballast, picking of all slacks as and when required to maintain the track as per IRPW Manual within tolerance by aliging, gauging, packing as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge as a complete job.. Note:- The Contractor has to engage at least following staff exclusively for maintenance, Gangman=20 Numbers, Mate= 04 numbers. NS-5
Laying/linking of track with any type of rails and sleepers in required density with fitting & fastening with all packing for making fit for normal speed as per P. Way track manual, leveling, gauging, oiling etc complete as per direction of site engineer including, all labour, T&Ps, leading lifting to any height/depth, all loading, unloading, incidental works etc complete with manula/mechanical method. The rate will be complete item rate so nothing extra will be paid to contractor, on this account except the accepted rate. NS-6
Cutting of all types of rails section (New/SS) on running/non-running lines with hacksaw blade (by manual or machines) vertically squares and smooth face for linking of track as directed by engineer in charge as a complete job. (The contractor will arrange all type of T&P/consumable materials required for cutting of rails at his own cost) including handling re-handling of rails. The rails shall be taken from stacks anywhere in station yards and in block section and will be cut in standard length/pairing as specified by Engineer at site. All cut pieces will be deposited & properly stacked in the store of PWI concerned at site of work or nominated place within Rly. Limit as a complete job as per direction of site in charge. NS-7
Drilling holes of 32 mm/28 mm/26.5 mm dia. and chamfering in 52 Kg/60 Kg/90 R rails including arrangements of all tools and plants, consumable material etc. at contractor's own cost including lead, lifts, placing, handling re-hanling as required or as directed by the engineer incharge at site as a complete job with all labour & material and T&P involved as a complete job. Two rounds of through packing doing all operations of systematic through packing for BG track with 52 Kg/60 Kg/990R/20 rail penal/3 rail panels/single rail/LWR rails on PRC/Wooden/Metal sleepers etc. with any type of track structure including boxing & dressing of ballast provided for cushion 200 mm/250 mm/300 mm and stipulated profile for LWR/SWR/Single rail including on curve as per IRPWM/LWR manual as directed by Engineer in charge including 1st & 2nd packing at required interval, squaring of sleepers ensuring correct spacing gauge, alignment, longitudinal & cross level with boxing etc. complete to bring the track to required tolerances so as to make the track fit at MSS of the section including all lead, lift, handling rehandling etc. of track, points & xings or on newly laid track as a complete job. NOTE:- Payment schedule will be as under 1 – 40% payment will be made of completion of 1st through packing 2 – 40% payment will be made after picking up slacks & maintaining the track in good geometry after 2nd through packing 3 – 20% payment shall be released after one month including rectifying all the defects as instructed by Engineer in charge NS-9
De-stressing of newly & track/old tracks at appropriate temperatures as per LWR manual and as per the direction of engineer incharge at site including all labour equipments such as distressing tensors thermometers etc. as a complete job including squaring, correct spacing of sleepers etc. Adjustment of correct clearance at toe of SEJs including changing of rails if required. NOTE (i) Railways will supply tensors and thermometers. Cutting and Drilling of holes in rails shall be paid separately under relevant NS item. NS-10
Supplying and stacking of 65mm gauge machine crushed track ballast as per Railway standard specification as directed by Engineer-in-charge as per Northern Railway Standard specification and special conditions including leveling & cleaning the ground before stacking, all lead, lift, ascends, descends, handling, rehandling, crossing of nallahs, streams, and humps, tracks and any type of obstructions etc., making approach road, wherever required for this work including all taxes, royalty, octroi and all other charges if any, as a complete job. Providing lighting arrangement during "block" in the night to be availed after sun set. In the section during working on hiring basis with contractor's own generator of minimum 8 KV capacity and 10 helogen lamps of 500 watts operations and maintenance of generator and halogen lamps. The payment shall be made for the night only for which SSE/P.Way/works and JE/PWay/Works gives requirement. Standby arrangements has to be ensured by the contractor for any possible failure as block may burst on this account. The item shall be complete in all respects including cost of labour, material tools plant transportation misc. and incidental works related to the job. Nothing extra will be paid on any account. Nothing extra will be paid on any account. The rate will also include cost of OPC cement, admixture (plasticizer, super plasticizer, or retarder etc.) as per approved mix design. Payment of reinforcement steel including cutting, straightening, hooking, bending, binding, placing and keeping and maintaining in position including cost of binding wire and shuttering will be arranged by contractor and payment will be made separately under relevant items of USOR-2010). Work will be executed as per Indian Railway Unified standard specifications applicable for RCC/PSC works contained in chapter 4 & 20. NS-13
