SPECIAL REPAIRS TO INTERNAL ROADS IN TECHNICAL AREA OF ARDE PASHAN, PUNE

M&L for repair to pot holes any depth, not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc., cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by filling in screened and graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for scarifying or picking the existing bituminous macadam surfaces not exceeding 50mm depth, area not exceeding 400 Sqm and disposal of scarified materials within all lifts and lead upto 1KM (by mechanical means), complete all as specified and directed.

Providing and applying tack coat using hot straight run bitumen of grade VG-10, including heating the bitumen, spraying the bitumen with mechanically operated spray unit fitted on bitumen boiler, cleaning and preparing the existing road surface as per specification, on W.B.M surface @ 0.75 Kg / sqm complete all as specified and directed.

Providing and laying 50mm average compacted thickness with bitumen of grade VG-30 @ 5% (percentage by weight of total mix) and lime / cement filler @ 2% (percentage by weight of aggregate) prepared in batch type hot mix plant of 100-120 TPH capacity, Dense Graded Bituminous Macadam using crushed stone aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site by tippers, laying with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with power road roller of 8-

12 tonn capacity smooth wheeled roller, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density complete all as specified and directed.

Providing and applying tack coat using hot straight run bitumen of grade VG-10, including heating the bitumen, spraying the bitumen with mechanically operated spray unit fitted on bitumen boiler, including preparing old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with pressure pump remove all losse dirt etc; on Bituminous surface @ 0.50 Kg / sqm complete all as specified and directed.

Providing and laying 30mm compacted thickness with bitumen of grade VG-30 @ 5% (percentage by weight of total mix) and lime filler @ 2% (percentage by weight of aggregate) prepared in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH capacity of Semi-dense Bituminous concrete using crushed stone aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site by tippers, laying with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired

compaction and density as per specification, complete all as specified and directed. Notes: (i) Thickness of semi dense asphaltic concrete and quantities of materials as mentioned in Particular Specifications / SSR are the minimum. The quoted rate shall also be deemed to include for provision of more materials in comparison to those mentioned / specified in the item, if required, to achieve the required level, gradient, camber and shape all as directed by the GE.

(ii) Hot mix plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing stone and fine aggregate and binder (bitumen) and semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver all as directed by the GE.

Providing and applying 2.5mm thick road marking strips (retroreflective) of specified shade / colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully / semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc, complete all as specified and directed.
