A. CIVIL WORKS SECTION 1: Underwater works and temporary slope protection works

Fishing out partially buried/ exposed porcupines from river bed and bank in undamaged condition as far as possible to facilitate proper launching of geo bag apron cum filter, porcupines with the help of trained skilled divers and drawing the same out to the river flood plain by boat mounted crane removing the same by small engine boat to safe distance away from the work site etc., complete as directed

Carriage of Geo-bags of size 1.03 x 0.70 m including loading & unloading, Stacking, etc. complete and including hire charge of truck with driver and handyman cost of POL etc. completed as directed. (Carriage from Morigaon Water Resource Godown, Balidunga, P.O. Bhuragaon, Dt. Morigaon, Pin 782121, Assam, India to Stackyard for an average distance of 6.00 km)

Excavation of specified silt from flood plain or adjacent chars, within a distance of 1000M of the work site and filling geo-bags of size 1.03M x 0.70M with silt, Weighing the same, for each silt filled bags to weigh 126 kg after filling, stitching the Mouth of the filled bags with polypropylene thread by power driven double needle machine as per drawing and technical specification, stockpiling the same in batches of 100 for easy counting and carrying the same and unloading in the work site or in the dumping pantoon/ barge stationed in the work site by engine boat including all loading and unloading, handling charges and any local carriage within a distance of 250m including all lead and lift etc complete as directed. (Geo-bags to be supplied by the Dept.)

Dumping of sand filled Geo-bags from properly positioned and anchored flat top pontoon/barge over an area specified by bathymetric survey for uniform area coverage along the bank line up to the designed length towards river, making a provisional falling apron at the end of the section away from bank line including loading unloading, sequential stacking on the pontoon/barge, carrying from stack yard to dumping place by power driven flat top country boat including mobilization of all necessary equipment etc. complete as per technical specification and approved design and contractor's method statement. The pontoon (minimum length 30 (M) position shall be monitored by RTK-GPS or Total Station up to an accuracy of ± 10 cm and a minimum 30 M Berge/pontoon should cover at least an area of 30m x 20 m per working day including the provisional falling apron as per design, technical specification and direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Filling and laying of Geo-bags of size 1.03m X 0.70m excluding excavation of sand/silt from flood plain or adjacent chars within a distance of 90m of the work site, filling geo-bags with sand/silt having minimum weighing 126.00 Kg and minimum volume 0.084 Cum after filling , double locking chain stitching the mouth of the filled bags with polypropylene thread by power driven double needle double stitched machine, stacking the same in batches of 100, carrying the same to the dumping site including all handling charges and local carriage within a distance of 150m and laying properly as directed. (sand/silt, Geo Bag and Polypropylene thread will be supplied by the department free of cost) Without Boat

Collection and supply of River silt by truck carriage free from debris and other foreign material, etc. complete as directed. By mechanical Means. For initial upto 1.00 km & for all lifts.

SECTION 2: Above water works with permanent riverbank revetment works

Earthwork in bank trimming to the designed section/slope by mechanical means including removing the soils at safe distance, complete as directed

Earthwork in excavation by hydraulic excavator, to proper grade and slopes as required including utilizing the spoils for filling works in the vicinity including removing roots & vegetation, dressing to design section etc. complete as directed. Ordinary Soil, For depth up to 3.00m

Earthwork in embankment by manual means by truck carriage in ordinary/normal soil excluding sandy and rocky soil free from roots & vegetation and filling in uniform layers not exceeding 25 cm thick including ploughing or roughening or benching the seats, removing all debris, breaking clods up to 4cm cube, dressing as per design section, etc. complete as directed. (10% deduction will be made from the section measured quantities of the completed and compacted on account of shrinkage). For initial lead upto 1 Km and for all lifts

Turfing with grass sods of largest possible rectangles of 12 cm. minimum thickness placed closely including dressing earth pagging with Jati bamboo split, watering till the grass grows for a lead up to 90m and all lifts, etc. complete as directed.

Supply of Galvanized Wire Netting Sheet made of 8 SWG wire 152mm square mesh in sheet 2.57m x 1.66m with longitudinal wire at 152 mm center and 76mm projection of each wire on all sides beyond the net size of 2.42m x 1.5m having knots of 12 SWG at every joints, weight of each sheet should not be less than 6.3 kg/ sheet.

(Geo-bag, Wire Netting Sheets and Polypropylene thread will be supplied by the department free of cost) Without Boat

B. ENVIRONMENTAL MITIGATION AND MONITORING MEASURES

Provision for compensatory plantation (1:10) measures, monitoring and maintenance during construction period

Obtaining and submission of copies to Engineer all consents, permits, clearances, no objection clearances or NOCs, tree cutting permissions, and other relevant permits from various authorities before the start of construction

Disposal of existing old geo-bags and other materials used as temporary anti-erosion and flood protection measures, and disposal of all solid wastes during construction to designated locations and/or use of local municipal services (payable at completion of works)

Provision of all requisite facilities (i.e. drinking water supply, sanitation, domestic solid waste collection & disposal, fuel supply etc.) at construction camps.

Rehabilitation of borrow areas and other impacted lands in line with WRD guidelines, and decommissioning of construction camp before handling over the subproject (payable at completion of works).

Traffic management at work sites (i.e. pavement markings, channelizing devices, arrow panels and warning lights) along with construction and/or strengthening of landing ghats for barges

Water sprinkling for dust suppression, barricading, temporary noise barriers, and provision of personal protective equipment (such as boots, life-saving-jackets, etc.)

Air quality monitoring for PM2.5, PM10, SO2, NOX, CO, Pb

Noise levels monitoring for Noise levels in dB (A) for day, night, L10, L90, Lmax, Lmin

Surface water quality monitoring for pH, BOD, COD, TDS, TSS, DO, Oil and grease and other physio-chemical and biological parameters

Drinking water monitoring for pH, BOD, TDS, DO, Fl, Cl, As, Cd, MG, Mn, total coliform and other physio-chemical and biological parameters

Groundwater monitoring for pH, BOD, TDS, DO, Fl, Cl, As, Cd, MG, Mn, total coliform and other physio-chemical and biological parameters
