Improvements to the Eastern Bypass Road in T.R. Pattinam starting from NH 45A road and ending NH45A in T.R. Pattinam at Karaikal.

Scarifying the existing bituminous surfaceto a depth of 50mm and disposal of scarified material within all lifts and lead upto 1000 metres - by mechanical means

Providing, laying , spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to wet mix macadam specification including premixing the material with water at OMC using with concrete mixer at site , laying in uniform layer by manual means in sub-base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with rammer by manual means to achive the desired density.

Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion on prepared surface of granular base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.60 kg/sqm using mechanical means. (As per MoRTH specification, 4th Revision)

Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion using emulsion pressure distributor at the rate of 0.20 kg. per sqm. on the prepared bituminous / granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom. (As per MORTH specification, 4th Revision)

Providing and laying dense graded bituminous macadam with HMP of capacity not less than 40 to 60 TPH using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminouse binder @ 4.0 to 4.5 per cent by weight of total mix and filler, tranporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achive the desired compaction as per Clause 507 of MoRTH specification, 4th Revision, complete in all respects - Using grade-II materials.

Providing and laying bituminous concrete with HMP of capacity not less than 40 to 60 TPH using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder @ 5.4 to 5.6 percent of mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause 509 of MoRTH specification, 4th Revision, complete in all respects - Using grade-II material.-Bitumen 60/70

Providing and laying sand gravel mix 1:1 of 150mm consolidated thickness using 0.68cum of sand & 0.62cum of gravel for 1cum finished to a soaked CBR value of minimum 20 including cost and conveyance of sand and gravel to the work site and stacking to the standard departmental gauge for premeaurement, mixing the required quantities of sand and gravel, spreading watering and consolidation the mix by power roller rolling to achive the required proctor density including the labourcharges for mixing, spreading, hire and fuel charges for power roller and all other tools and plants employed etc., complete. As per clause no 401 of MOT specification.

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/manual means in foundation trenches or drains (not exceeding 1.5m in width or 10 sqm on plan) including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms , lift upto 1.5m, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed , within a lead of 50m -All kinds of soil.

Centring and shuttering including strutting , propping etc. and removal of form work for - retaining walls, return walls, walls (any thickness) including attached pilasters, buttresses, plinth and string courses fillets, kerbs and steps etc.

Plain cement concrete m-15 mix with stone aggregates 20mm nominal size mechanically mixed and vibrated in foundation upto a depth of 1.50 metres below ground level and/or 1.50 metres above ground/bed level.

Providing and laying of hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 250 gms per sqm area, thickness of 2.5mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads as per IRC:35. The finished surface to be level, uniform and free from streaks and holes

Providing and fixing 3M make reflective road studs of category 'A' raised pavement markers made out of poly carbonate /ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face with retro reflectance and chromaticity values conforming to ASTM D4280. The reflective raised pavement markers shall also confirm the length, height and width of the body shall not be less than 100mm,15mm and 90mm respectively and base of marker shall be flat within 1.3mm (3M equivalent). The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. Lenses shall be moulded of Polycarbonate or methyl methacrylate conforming ASTM D788. The area of each retro reflectory surface shall not be less than 13.0 sqcm. The slope or retro-reflectory surface shall be 35+5 degree to base. Each reflector shall have a CIL not less than values specified in table 1 of said MORT&H circular and two cylindrical polymer shanks not less than 20mm diameter and not less than 30mm length shall be provided for better anchorage with bituminous grout or epoxy mortar all as per the MORTH circular No.RW/NH.33023/10/97-DO.III dt.11.06.97.

Providing and fixing of retro reflectorised cautionary, mandatory & informatory sign as per IRC:67 made of aluminium sheet encapsulated lens with high intensity grade sheeting vide Clause 801.3, fixed over aluminium sheeting, 1.5 mm thick supported on a mild steel angle iron post 75 mm X 75 mm X 6 mm ( 3.8 mtrs height - 6.8kg/mtr = 25.84 kg with board support angle 35x35x6mm- 2.8 mtrs - 3kg/mtr =8.4kg and anchor flats - 0.5kg ) firmly fixed to the ground by means of properly designed foundation with M15 Grade cement concrete 45 cm X 45 cm X 60 cm , 60cm below ground level as per approved drawing 80cm X 60cm rectangular . (including cost of angle iron towards cost of drilling holes , nuts , bolts etc.,)

Providing and fixing of retro - reflectorised cautionary, mandatory & informatory sign as per IRC:67 made of aluminium sheet encapsulated lens with high intensity grade sheeting vide Clause 801.3, fixed over aluminium sheeting, 1.5 mm thick supported on a mild steel angle iron post 75 mm X 75 mm X 6 mm (3.6 mtrs height - 6.8kg/mtr = 24.48kg , with board support angle 2.10 mtrs - 3kg/mtr = 6.3 kg and anchor flat 0.50kg)firmly fixed to the ground by means of properly designed foundation with M15 Grade cement concrete 45 cm X 45 cm X 60 cm , 60cm below ground level as per approved drawing. - 60 cm X 45cm rectangular . Supplying and installation of delineators (road way indicators, hazard markers,object markers),80 - 100cm high above ground level, painted black and white in 15cm wide strips, fitted with 80X100 mm rectangular or 75mm dia circular reflectorised panels at the top, buried or pressed into the ground and conforming to IRC:79

Providing and erecting a "W" metal beam crash barrier comprising of 3mm thick corrugated sheet metal beam rail,70 cm above road/ ground level, fixed on ISMC series channel vertical post,150X75X5 mm spaced 2 m centre -to -centre,1.8 mhigh, 1.1m below ground/road level, all steel parts and fittings to be galvanished by hot dip process , all fittings to conform to IS:1367 and IS:1364, metal beam rail to be fixed on the vertical post with a spacer of channel section 150X75X5mm, 330m long complete as per Clause 810.
