Reconstruction of foundation block strengthening of pumping machinery of pumping unit no II including repairs of 20 HP motor unit I and other allied works at LIS Giddar Gallian.

Dismantling the pumping machinery (pump and motor of unit-II) from foundation of unit No. II by way of disconnecting the suction line and delivery line from the pump body, then decoupling the motor from pump body and extracting the motor and pump along with base frame after cutting the worn out foundation bolts and nuts then digging out the worn out foundation block with the help of tools, tackle and manual labour. Then disposing of the excavated material up to a minimum lead 50mtrs approximately as per the site condition. Reconstruction of RCC foundation block (1.5mX1.25mX1.5m) by way of laying of crushed stone 40mm, laying of one layer of PCC of mix ratio 1:4:8 6 inch depth using 40 mm stone aggregate, providing and laying of tor steel mesh of 10mm,with 6 inch CC distance sq. mesh throughout the block, laying of RCC in ratio 1:1.5:3 mass up to entire size of block with 15-20 mm stone aggregate mix concrete, the mesh nominal cover to be at least 1.5”. P/F of requisite Nos of foundation bolts as per base frame in the foundation block with a tor steel piece welded for proper anchoring suitable No of vertical for steel members to be provided all along the block. The job includes the costs of material and carriage charge for all the material from various sources of location of availability, hire charge of form work, vibrator and concrete mixture, POL for vibrator and concrete mixing machine. Cutting, laying and binding of steel and cost of labour charges for curing of foundation block and labour charges for skilled and semiskilled labour at LIS Giddar Gallian. The job also includes laying of PCC and plastering of the damaged pump room areas caused during execution of the job including plastering of the exposed portion of the newly constructed foundation block. The job also includes dismantling of 20 HP damaged motor of unit-I from the base frame.

Providing and fixing of new base frame of appropriate channel and size as per sample of old one after proper anchoring with foundation bolts and checking for accurate leveling of base frame.

Carriage and shifting of dismantled 3 cusec discharge pump of unit-II and damaged motor of unit-I by way of head load to the nearest roadside using manual labour, loading in mechanical transport, carriage to workshop for repairs. After complete repairs back shifting of the pumping machinery to site of installation at Giddar Gallian. The job includes labour charges, hire charges of vehicle (to & fro)/carriage, loading and unloading & all the tools and tackles required for executing the works.

Repairs to 3 cusec discharge pump at workshop by way of extraction of damaged parts. The job involves repair to impeller by way of brazing turning and finishing to size. Fabrication, providing and fitting of new pump shaft as per sample and then turning and finishing to required size. P/F of new gland bushes-02 Nos., shaft protection sleeves-02 Nos., impeller wearing rings-02 Nos., check /lock nuts 02 Nos, bearing 02Nos as per sample and new CI gland plates. The job includes replacement of gland packing, oiling and greasing, cost of material and labour charges. Installation of the repaired pump on base frame with proper greasing of motor and alignment after coupling it with motor by providing and fitting of new coupling nuts and bolts along with bush and testing on full load. The job also involves aligning of suction and delivery end and fitting them with pump body by p/f of rubber sheet joint along with new nuts and bolts.

Repair to foot valve of 8” of unit No II by way of Dismantling of suction line and extracting the suction pipe along with foot valve from the canal dismantling the foot valve at site, providing and fitting of leather sheet cut to size along new nuts and bolts of required size. Fitting the foot valve with suction pipe by P/F of rubber sheet joint along with new nuts and bolts of required size. Lowering down the suction pipe with foot valves in the canal and the aligning the suction pipe with other portion of suction and fitting it by P/F of rubber sheet joints along with new nuts and bolts at site.

Dismantling of the damaged 20 HP motor at workshop for extraction of burnt/damaged windings, cleaning of stator slots and complete rewinding of the motor with new copper wireof requisite gauge and specifications, standard make. P/F of new insulation, packing material then varnishing with superior quality varnish and drying in oven at controlled at controlled temperature. The job includes repairs to rotor of motor by way of P/F of new bearings (DE & NDE) after rebuilding of the rotor shaft and finishing to bearing size, making new keyway of coupling, P/F of bearing end covers. Complete greasing of the bearings and reinstallation of the repaired motor on the base frame, coupling with the pump, P/F new coupling bolts and proper alignment of the pump motor set. Complete job including cost of material and labour charges and testing at site.
