| 1.01 | Transportation charges for shifting of worn-out components of the VT pump of 900 VM-2 ,60 Cusecs, discharge,32.30 mtr Head VT pump of pumping Unit No 05 for repairs to the workshop by way of loading in mechanical transport from Tawi pump house and unloading the same at the workshop with the help of E.O.T crane and manual labour. Repairs to 1st shaft enclosing tube of VT pump by way of checking of face-to-face alignment and eccentricity developed in the enclosing tube at different off-sets with the help of dial gauge on lathe machine. Removing of eccentricity developed after welding /patching at the cracked portion with suitable M.S. welding electrodes and also welding of the cracked stiffeners of the flanges of the enclosing tubes. Repairs to 1st shaft and 3rd line shafts of VT pump by way of rebuilding of worn-out seat portion of bearing of the Shafts. Rebuilding 1st & 3rd line shaft by way of extracting worn out sleeve of the shaft and turning shaft to remove unevenness in surface. Turning, finishing, and polishing to required size. Checking of eccentricity developed at the different off-sets of the shaft during operation and removing the eccentricity developed by means of press bench. The tolerance limit be kept within the prescribed limit of +0.03 mm. Repair to damaged portion of suction bell of pump by way of removing of all the old/ damaged welding from the surface of the entire four No. cross arms and inner portion of suction bell’s body with the help of gas cutter. Rebuilding of the badly damaged inner surface portion of the body and all the cross arms with suitable hard facing electrodes by welding longitudinally and circumferentially for rebuilding and filling of pitting and cavitation’s caused during operations. Finishing of the welded portions with grinder in such a way that the original angle/ profile and the thickness of the body and the cross arms is not disturbed. Drilling of four No. holes with threading as required for fitment of cover plate of rubber bearing. Rebuilding of worn out/ damaged inner portion of 1 no. bearing holder using suitable machinable CI electrodes. Turning, finishing and polishing the welded portion to the required size of the outer dia. of the line shaft rubber bearing. The job further involves back carriage of the repaired components of VT Pump i.e. shaft enclosing tubes, SS line shaft and bearing holder etc. to the site of Tawi pump house by way of loading in mechanical transport at workshop and unloading at site of Tawi pump house, Jammu with the help of manual labour. The job involves replacement of thrust pad of 03 Nos. guide spider- (09 Nos). Assembling and lowering of extracted VT pump and column assembly it involves complete wiping ,cleaning repaired parts, lowering of complete bowl assembly , column assembly in proper sequence by fitting of column pipes and fitting further, lowering fitting of shaft enclosing tube along with line shaft one by one to discharge head and Tee joint aligning & fitting with rising main of 36” dia. P/F of consumables items during lowering of the VT pump like line shaft rubber bearing 7 Nos.( Provided by the Deptt.) bottom rubber bearing 1No., HT column bolts with nuts 120 x20 mm (reputed make) 18Nos., HT shaft enclosing tube bolts with nut 110x16 mm 22 Nos. HT bolts with nuts 110x25 mm (reputed make) 16 Nos., HT bolts 65x16mm 15 Nos. , HT bolts 45x16 mm 12 Nos., HT Allen key bolts 40x12 mm 15 Nos., spring washers-16mm 30- nos., spring washers 12mm 24 Nos., fire fly sheet 1/32” 6 kg, fire fly sheet 1/16” 7.5 kg., rubber insertion sheet 1/18” 12 kg, gland packing ¾” 2kg, hacksaw blade double edge 6 Nos., HT bitumen tape roll, emery cloth 7 mtr and dhoti cloth. Grease -07 kg and servo system 46-15 litre for topping of motor (Grease and servo system46 provided by Deptt.) Fitting of pump and motor half coupling, checking alignment of pump and motor using dial gauge, making all the electrical connection, tightening bolts, providing of gasket, electrical thimbles and then testing on full load. Skilled person shall be provided by the firm for extraction /fitting /assembling of parts during lowering of VT pump.
