REPAIR, REPLACEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF STANDBY DG SET SPARE PARTS INCLUDING B AND C CHECK AND CONNECTED WORKS AT INS CHILKA UNDER GE CHILKA

Periodic Routine maintenance for diesel engine driven generating set by carrying out routine 'A' check of the engine complete for smooth functioning all as per manufacturer's instructions and by authorised agency and as directed. For 320 KVA DG set of Make:- Greaves Cotton at Training Area. Attending to under mentioned jobs to ensure its satisfactory performance. Note:- Quoted Rates are deemed to be for carrying out A checks as under and maintenance chart must be filled by dg service engineer. "OK" must be signed by service Engineer, contractor and engineer in Charge. Checking the fan belt and adjusting tension. (a) Checking the fan belt and adjusting tension. (b) Checking the fuel and oil filter. (c) Checking the air filter including cleaning and refixing. (d) Checking of FIP oil level. (e) Checking and tightening the base bolts and nuts. (f) Checking the coupling bolts and adjustment checking the self starter and dynamo (g) Checking the battery distilled water levels and topping upto the required level. (h) Checking the panels (Manual as well as AMF) attached to the DG set for loose connections, defects if any in the panel board and replacement of spares all as directed. (i) Checking the anti vibration mounting pad and adjusting the bolt. (j) Checking the radiator and radiator hose and arresting leak if any. (k) Checking the engine oil level and topping upto the required level. Cooling System (a) Fill coolant and  proper venting. (b) Check coolant level in Radiator and  proper venting. Fuel System (a) Clean fuel strainer, fuel tank breather. (b) Check fuel shut off mounting & tighten the mounting screw. (c) Check and Adjust the speed control level if required Air System (a) Check plugs in intake pipe for proper sealing. (b) Check function of vacuum indicator. (c) Check hoses and clamp for proper sealing. Exhaust System (a) Ensure smoke level is normal and no leak from Piping. (b) Check for Proper support to Exh.pipe. (c) Check and record exhaust back pressure. Electrical System (a) Test battery voltage and specific gravity clean battery terminals and apply petroleum jelly. Verify the operation of the battery charger. Note:- All the checks in the checklist will be done in the present of MES rep and it will be signed by OEM authorised Technician, contracor and Engr-in-Charge on a checklist format approved by Engr-in-Charge.
