SOIL INVESTIGATION AND CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR SOIL, SLOPE STABILIZATION AT BRICHGUNJ MILITARY STATION, PORT BLAIR

Mobilization of plants and equipments including man & materials required at site of soil investigation setting of boring/ drilling rig as required and demobilization of plants and equipments on completion of work etc, complete (which includes conveyance of sample collected to testing lab as required for the purpose of testing)

Shifting of entire arrangement from one bore to another borehole location including demolition of existing concrete road and setting of boring/ drilling rig as required and as directed by Engr-in-Charge

Boring 150mm dia borehole to any depth through following type of strata :- (a) Any type of soil

(b) Soft Rock

(c) Hard Rock

Collection of undisburbed soil samples at 3.00m interval or any change strata in 150mm bore thin walled tube including waxing sealing and packing transporting to lab complete

Carrying out Standard Penetration Test (SPT) including collection of disburbed soil samples in bore holes at every 1.0m depth or any change of strata and submit the report with all requisite data

Conducting necessary test on collected samples which include the determination of:- (a) Atterberg limits (b) Natural moisture content (c) Wet and dry density (d) Soil / Particle size using seive hydrometer analysis (incl type of soil) (e) Tri-axial shear test (f) Shrinkage limit (g) Consolidation test (h) Specific gravity test for sand/rock (j) Crushing strength of rock samples (k) Permeability test (l) Testing of ground water sample (incl PH determination) (m) Free swelling index (n) Soluble salt content (Chloride & Sulphate) (o) Direct shear permeability test (p) Shear strength (unconfirmed compression) (q) Soluble salt content (Chloride and Sulphate) (r) Submission or reports in 04 copies containing NSBC, SBC and Settlement test results, graphs, charts, calculations etc and recommendation for foundation

Providing consultancy services comprising and provision of the following activities :- (a) Carrying out detailed aerial survey and aerial photography using UAV (Drone) for the area of subject site. (b) Processing of data and production of 3D image, generation (c) Generation of cross sections at every 30m and contour plan of the surveyed area (Approx 9000 Sqm) (d) Reviewing the drone survey, topographical survey and geotechnical investigation data. (e) Topgraphical survey at 3x3 mtr interval including hilly terrain alongwith contour plan by total stataion equipment. (f) Determining root cause for the occurred accident of soil subsidence at site. (g) Carrying out geological mapping for the locations under consideration. (h) Carrying out analysis for slope stabilization/ landslide mitigation measures. (j) Providing detailed design alongwith design calculations and drawings for slope stabilization/ landslide mitigation measures. (10 copies of tracing sheets/ colour sheets, two sets of CD) (k) Providing detailed design alongwith design calculations and drawing detailed estimate for slope stabilization/ landslide mitigation measures using software with sound engineering practice and as per relevant IS code. The drawings shall be duly vetted by IIT. (l) Providing BOQ and technical specifications as required for slope stabilization/ landslide mitigation measures. (m) Visit by Principal consultant to the site having min 5 years of experience & executed similar nature of work. (n) One set of vetted structural drawings in hard & soft copy shall be submitted by the consultant for approval of Dir (Design)/ SO-1 (Design). After approval of the Dir (Design)/ SO-1 (Design) the consultant will submit final structural Drawings A1 size on Gateway tracing paper (95/100 GSM) in ten sets and three CDs incl all design claculations.

Inspection of the site during the execution of the work by qualified senior Geotech Engineer having min experience of 5 years and executed works of similar nature. Note : (a) It is an express condition of bid that completion certificate and release of any RAR will be processed only after approval and acceptance of soil report from HQ CE (A&N) Zone. (b) The consultant should always remain available for submission of required data while in process of finalisation of datas/ criteria in DCS as well as in tender pertain to the subject job and to ensure the presence of consultant during the preparation and finalisation of tender documents, the bidder has to submit 10% of the quoted amount in the shape of FDR for a period of three years from the date of acceptance of bid. This FDR will be additional as required in terms of 5% PS as specified tender document. Bidder has to quote accordingly.
