S&E of 5.9- 6m pole:The pole shaft shall be of 5.9 to 6.0 meter height of square cross section of 150mm X 150mm Square Hollow Section (SHS), presenting a good and pleasing appearance and shall be based on proven design conforming to international standards, to give an assured performance, and reliable service. The structure shall be made from the square hollow sections (SHS) and rectangular hollow sections (RHS) as per IS code with minimum Yst 210 MPa , The procedural weld geometry and the workmanship shall be exhaustively tested on the completed welds. The mast shall be provided with fully penetrated flange, which shall be free from any lamination or incursion. For the environmental protection of the mast, the entire fabricated mast shall be hot dip galvanized, internally and externally as per ASTM A 123. Galvanizing shall be without any lead content. Design code should comply to Wind Pressure & Loading Calculation as per IS:875 (Part 3), Load Combinations IS:800 – 2007 & Pole Design as per AASHTO 2015 “LRFD Specifications for Structural Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaires and Traffic Signals”/ ASCE/SEI 48-11 “Design of Steel Transmission Pole Structures”. The base plate is fabricated from special steel plates, S355 as per BSEN 10025 or equivalent. Base plate shall have suitable number of holes or slots to accommodate anchor bolts. An adequate door opening shall be provided at the base of the pole and the opening shall be such that it permits clear access to all electrical accessories like MCB, fuse etc. It also facilitates easy removal of the same. The door opening shall be complete with a close fitting, vandal resistant, weatherproof door, provided with locking arrangement. The door opening shall be carefully designed and reinforced with welded steel section, so that the shaft section at the base shall be unaffected and undue buckling of the cut portion shall be prevented. The door is supplied with a hand hole cover and required hardware. Shaft length should be provided with LED lighting in RED, Green and Amber for the length of 1.5m flush mounted LED batten to suit 6m pole.
