Construction of New RCC Trench Battery no. 16 and other associated works at WMCF of RR Site

Earthwork in excavation in all types of ground substrata consisting of hard rock / fragmented rock / soft rock / ordinary soils / filled up ground / murrum requring use of rock breaker, drilling, chiseling with mechanical / manual means etc. up to a depth of 1.5 m from the orginal ground level and dewatering if required for foundation of walls, columns, platforms etc. including backfilling with selected excavated materials in plinth and foundation trenches in layers not excedding 200 mm thick, watering ramming etc. complete and disposing off the surplus materials to a maximum radially measured lead of 1.0 KM. as per drawings, design, safety and specfication and directions of the Engineer. Note: Bidders should essentially visit and inpect the consturction sites and determine themselves the right and safest method/s of excavation considering the safety of nearby structures and population, before quoting their items rates (Blasting is not permitted).

Extra for every additional lift of 1.5m part thereof in all kinds of soil.

Supplying at site of good earth excavated and brought from outside (borrow pits / stock piles) free from weeds, roots, rubbles and other foreign material including royalty and carriage and filling in trenches, plinth and sides of foundation etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth consolidating each deposited layers by ramming and watering and lift upto 1.5m etc. complete (only consolidated fill shall be paid).

Filling with available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth and sides of foundation etc. in layers not exceeding 200mm thick, consolidating each layer including watering, ramming etc. complete with lead upto 2 km and lift upto 1.5 m.

Supplying at site good quality garden earth free from weeds, roots, pebbles and other foreign materials including royalty and carriege ( soil measured in trolly / stacks will be reduced by 20% for voids for payment purposes ) as per direction of EIC. (sample of garden good earth shall be approved by EIC before supplying)

Spreading / filling in layers garden good earth black cotton soil available at site as per item 4 above including watering and compaction etc. all complete in layers not exceeding 300 mm thickness as directed by EIC.(consolidate thickness will be measured for payment).

Providing and laying 230 mm thick stone soling properly hand packed, filling interstices with spells and consolidating to required gradient and camber including spreading, watering and rolling binding materials earth etc. complete as per drawings, specifications and direction of Engineer (using quarry stone).

Providing and laying cement concrete of 1:2:4 ( 1 Cement : 2 Coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) in retaining walls, return walls, walls(any thickness) including attached pilasters, columns, piers, abutments, pillars, posts, struts, buttresses, string or lacing courses, parapets, coping, bed block, anchor block, window sills, fillets etc. at all level including transporting of concrete to site, laying including cost of finishing, curing etc. all complete excluding the cost of centering and shuttering as per specifications and direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying in position machine batched, machine mixed and machine vibrated design mix cement concrete of all grades grade for Reinforced cement concrete or other works using 20mm maximum nominal size stone aggregates including transporting of concrete to site for laying but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and reinforcement, including cost of finishing, compaction, curing, approved chemical admixtures conforming to IS 9103 in recommended proportions for achieving slump not less than 120mm and water/cement ratio not more than 0.42 at all level & for all sections as per drawings, specifications & direction of Engineer-in-charge. Use of concrete retarding agent / accelerator conforming to IS 9103 shall also be done if situation demands so. Rates should be based on using 350 kg of OPC 43 grade cement per Cum of concrete.

Providing and laying in position machine batched, machine mixed and machine vibrated design mix cement concrete of all grades for Reinforced cement concrete for precast work for hatch covers and other members as per drawing and specification using 20mm size graded stone aggregates including transporting of concrete to site for laying including the cost of centering, shuttering, cost of finishing, compaction, curing, cost of approved chemical admixtures conforming to IS 9103 in recommended proportions for achieving slump not less than 120mm and water/cement ratio not more than 0.45 at all level excluding the cost of reinforcement as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. Use of concrete retarding agent / accelerator conforming to IS 9103 shall be done as per requirement of mix design. Rates should be based on using 350 kg of cement per cum of concrete. NOTE : Item includes the cost of : 1. Construction of cementous plain smooth platform for casting of hatch cover. 2. Handling of precast hatch covers to place in position as per drawings on RCC Trench and replace the same on ground after testing. 3. Hatch covers shall be lifted using YOKE only.
