ADDN/ALTN TO EARTHING INFRASTRUCTURE AT CERTAIN LOCATION AT AF STATION CHANDIGARH UNDER GE (AF) CHANDIGARH

Earthing complete with CPRI tested 50mm dia, pure copper earth electrode pipe of length 3000mm, pipe in copper strip Technology with NABL tested, RoHS compliant earth enhancement compound 25 Kg in each bore hole in tripod configuration (three numbers of 50mm dia pure copper electrode pipe) interconnected with copper strip of size 20x3.15mm and connected by means of exothermic brazing & porected by GI pipe light grade 40mm bore and PCC (1:3:6) type C1 earth chamber & cast iron earth pit cover 300x300x3mm connecting to test point & testing on ground complete including excavation, earth work, boring in any type of soil strata & cleaning of site complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes :(i) Cost of copper strip 20x3.15mm and 40mm dia GI pipe light grade required for interconnection of three numbers of pure copper 50mm dia earth electrode is deemed to be included in quoted rates of this item. Copper strip of suitable size from earth pit to test point/equipment shall be measured and paid seperately. (ii) Cost of earth work, boring, PCC earth pit, CI cover, testing of earth after completion, connecting and commissioning is deemed to be included in quoted rates of this item. (iii) Marking & painting of earth pit with iron plate of suitable size is deemed to be included in quoted rates of this item. (iv) The boring will take place for 3 metre depth & 350mm dia for three numbers of pure copper earth electrode pipe to form tripod configuration. Earth enhance compound to be filled around the earth electrode in 100mm dia in 3 layers of 1 mtr each by means of PVC pipe of 100mm dia as casing/formwork. The remaining volume of bore shall be filled with clay soil (available from vicinity) in 3 layers of 1 mtr each. The PVC pipe to be removed sinultaneously. The cost of all this these aspect deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (v) Minimum distance between each earthing is not less than 3 running metre (vi) Testing of earthing shall be conducted and result should be less than 1.00 Ohms

Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground ,(Earth pit not less than 2.25 metre deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level ,connected to and including galvanised iron earth wire 32 X 6 mm by means of nut, bolts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel and provision of charcoal dust and common salt packed all around the earth plate including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil and testing and shown in electrical plate number 5 of MES SSR part-I(1991), complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes :-(a) Excavation and earth work for drilling hole for electrode in any type of Soil. (b) PCC pit in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1, Pre cast RCC cover with suitable handle 40 mm thick in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric weighing not less than1.87 Kg/ Sq metre. (c) Funnel with watering pipe of GI 20 mm nominal bore light grade and lugs etc complete all as specified and directed (d) 40 mm nominal bore medium grade GI protection pipe 2.5 metre long for protection of earthing lead complete all as specified and directed. (e) Requisite quantity of common salt and charcoal. (f) Testing of earthing.

Copper strip 32mm x 6 mm buried in ground/ fixed on wall/ Passed through pipe/wall incuding connected by means of exothermic brazing, nuts and bolts where required, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Copper strip 20mm x 3.15 mm buried in ground/ fixed on wall/ Passed through pipe/wall incuding connected by means of exothermic brazing, nuts and bolts where required, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Galvaniased iron (GI) strip 32mm x 6 mm buried in ground/ fixed on wall/ Passed through pipe/wall incuding connected by means of exothermic brazing, nuts and bolts where required, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Galvaniased iron (GI) Tubes, of 50mm bore size, light grade ,galvanised including fittings , with clamp of 25x3 flat iron welded to pipe fixed to wall/pole/ceiling or laid in floors or under road for protection of LT cables or earth strips etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screw, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking down old unserviceable chemical earthing of any type and size, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
