Excavation in trenches n. exc 1.5 m wide for foundations, laying cables/ pipes etc. not exceeding 1.5 m deep and getting out in SOFT/LOOSE soil complete, all as specified.

Returning filling in including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick complete, all as specified.

Removal of excavated surplus spoil to a distance n. exc. 50m and depositing where directed at level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified.

Cutting the existing road straight by manual, depth and width not less than 1 metre below ground level for passing of underground cable and filling back with excavated soil upto 75% road portion and 25% shall be made with cement concrete 1:2:4 using 20mm graded aggregate stone complete all as specified.

NOTES APPLICABLE TO SERIAL ITEM 1 TO 4: (a) Excavation work shall be carried out manually only. (b) LT/HT cable, water supply/ sewage/telephone lines, if any, get damaged during excavation & earthwork, demolition of PCC shall be repaired by the contractor immediately as per existing specifications to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Brick protection with pulverized fuel ash lime bricks laid flat across the route of underground cable all as specified.

Clean dry sand ( locally available) as cushioning for under ground cable 230 mm thick (one layer of 80 mm thickness before laying the cable and other layer of 150 mm thickness after laying the cable) complete all as specified. NOTE:- Punned down thickness (over all 180 mm) shall be considered for measurement and payment.

PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as coping of poles etc. with slightly rounded or chamfered angles including necessary form work with fair finished surfaces of concrete complete all as specified.

PCC type C-2 (1:3:6), using 40 mm graded stone aggregates as in filling & foundation of pole, mass concrete, complete all as specified.

Ductile iron pipes 100mm bore, class K-9, centrifugaly cast, flanged ends, ISI marked in any length with & including rubber or fibre board gasket joints laid in trenches, with & including DI special fittings including taking up or down existing unserviceable existing pipe and connections, complete all as specified

Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode of size 600 x 600 x 6 mm buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below ground level ) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level, connected to and including GI strip 32x6 mm as earthing lead by means of GI or steel bolts/nuts/washers, protected by 15 mm bore GI light grade pipe. Earth plate shall be surrounded by alternate layer of charcoal or coke and common salt 15 cm thick all around bottom and top. 20 mm bore GI light grade pipe for watering and including funnel, wire mesh, RCC cover, reinforced with 8 mm dia TMT bars @ 75 mm C/C both ways with mild steel handle 12 mm dia, using round bar, PGI funnel with wire mess & frame, PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 (using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in earthing pit including necessary excavation & earth work, all as specified & shown in electrical plate No. 3 of MES Schedule Part – I. IN REPLACEMENT, complete all as specified. Note:- (i) PCC chamber shall be constructed at least 1.5 metre away from the earth electrode and pipe for watering shall be provided in slanting manner. (ii) The unit rate includes earthing lead & protection pipe upto 7.5 metre from top of earth plate. (iii) Earth resstance shall be less than 3 ohm. In case the test results are not found less than 3 ohm, complete earthing shall be redone by the contractor without any extra cost to Govt.

LT panel board shall be factory (CPRI approved) fabricated, suitable for 415 volt, 3 phase, 4 wire 50 Hz AC supply, cubical type, dust & vermin proof (Kiosk type), made out of CRCA sheet 3.15 mm thick except inner sheath. Frame and legs shall be made of 50 x 50 x 5 mm size angle. Vertical height of legs shall be not less than 45 cm from top of PCC floor finish. Legs shall be grouted in PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate). The dimensions/size of the LT Panel shall be as on required basis for incorporating the electrical accessories/ components as specified below and these particular specifications. The front and back side of the LT Panel shall be provided with hinged double doors with locking arrangement. The locks shall be built in flush type of superior quality as directed by Engineer in Charge. The hinged shall be of such construction that the door can swung open by not less than 150 degree. The fixing of the doors shall be such that the doors should automatically come to closed position if not kept open with effort. The panel shall be designed in such a way so as to have independent compartments/cabins for housing MCCB’s, cable gallery, bus bar chamber, switch and other accessories. Bus bar, MCCB, cable incoming, cable outgoing, time switch chambers will be manufactured of not less from 2mm thick MS Sheet. Panel shall be painted with anti corrosive coating and finally epoxy polyester powder coating of flint grey shade (RAL-7032) all s specified in relevant IS. including installation, commissioning & testing, comprising the following components/acessories:- INCOMMING:- a) Copper stri busbar of current carrying 800 Amps wrapped with PVC sleeves with maintained the colour code and provision of making holes with copper nuts, bolts & washers for cable connections including hydrographic insulators with nuts & bolts at both ends = 4 Nos.
