REPAIR/ MAINTENANCE OF LIGHTING CONDUCTOR ALONGWITH CONNECTED ITEMS AND REPAIR REPLACEMENT OF STP AT DALHOUSIE CANTT UNDER AGE(I) DALHOUSIE

M&L for Dismantling of old Aluminium/ Copper strip of any size, complete including making good of disturbed portions of wall all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for Removing & refixing in repair of air termination single pointed aluminium rod 12 mm dia and 300 mm long by tightening with necessay fixing arrangement fixed on existing/new PVC blocks, screw, nut,bolt & washer on top of the roof and making good complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement Air termination single pointed alumminium rod 12mm dia 300mm long fixed including taking out old air termination rod with complete fixing arrangement on top of the roof all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F in replacement Air termination single pointed copper rod 12mm dia 300mm long fixed including taking out old air termination rod with complete fixing arrangement on top of the roof all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F in replcement of Aluminium strip 25x3.15 mm thick fixed with procelain/PVC saddle and fixing serew etc with minimum twonumber saddles with screws on and including PVC gutties in each one mtr of length for roof conductor and down conductors above ground, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replcement of copper strip 20x3.15 mm thick fixed with procelain/PVC saddle and fixing serew etc with minimum twonumber saddles with screws on and including PVC gutties in each one mtr of length for roof conductor and down conductors above ground, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replcement of Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hex. Screw complete including taking out old u/s test point all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Earthing complete with galvanized steel plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6.3mm thick buried directly in ground (earth kit not less than 2.25 mtr below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level connected to galvanized iron strip 25mm x 4mm thick by means of bolts, nuts and washers of galvanized iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No 3 connected to earth test point incl necessary earth work excavation PCC 1:3:6 type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate for earth chamber provn of RCC cover 40mm thick in 1:2:4 mix type B1 funnel with water pipe GI pipe 15mm dia medium grade as protection pipe GI earth lead all as specified.

Earthing complete with Copper plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 3.15mm thick buried directly in ground (earth kit not less than 2.25 mtr below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level connected to copper strip 20mm x 3mm thick by means of bolts, nuts and washers of copper all as shown in electrical plate No 3 connected to earth test point incl necessary earth work excavation PCC 1:3:6 type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate for earth chamber provn of RCC cover 40mm thick in 1:2:4 mix type B1 funnel with water pipe GI pipe 15mm dia medium grade as protection pipe GI earth lead all as specified.

M & L for testing of Lightning Conductor & earthing except new earthing covered under Sl item Nos 8 here in before of various OTM/Md Accn of unit Area in the presence of users rep & maintaining record of tests for lightning conductor by removing all connection and the resistance of earthing & lightning protection network should not exceed 5 Ohm in every building & also test results to be recorded after repair/renewal and should be signed by users also Note :- (i) The earthing showing result beyond 10 ohm to be renewed and shall be measured & paid for separately under relevant item of Sch 'A'. (ii) The test result after renewal of earthing and replacement of defective conductor for lightening conductor & cost for the same is deemed to be included in unit rate of above item .(iii) The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to be included for the test results of all existing earthing point, date of testing and renewal etc to be written on wall of each building in clear format like stenzil etc as per direction from Engr-in-charge with out any extra cost. (iv) The testing of new earthing covered under item Nos 8 & 9 are not covered in this item.
