The contractor shall supply all required materials (wherever applicable), labour, tools & tackles,
testing instruments, and consumables required for successful completion of the following works. All
works shall be carried out as per relevant IS standards and the instructions of the Engineer-in-Charge
while adhering to all applicable safety regulations.
1. Boundary Wall Repair and Restoration:
The existing boundary wall along the canal side of the BPCL installation has deteriorated over time due
to prolonged exposure to moisture, weathering, and environmental conditions, resulting in damaged
plaster, weakened structural integrity, and an unsightly appearance. Repair of the affected portions
through plaster restoration and strengthening works is essential to maintain the stability, durability, and
effectiveness of the boundary wall.
In addition, the boundary wall shared with the IOCL LPG Terminal has several unauthorized openings
and damaged sections that compromise the security and access control of the installation. These
openings will be permanently closed through brick masonry works, and the damaged portions of the
wall will be repaired and restored to their original condition. The proposed repairs will enhance site
security, prevent unauthorized entry, improve the overall integrity of the facility boundary, and ensure
compliance with safety and operational requirements.
2. Pump House for Raw Water and Drinking Water – Repair and Modification:
The pump house housing the raw water and drinking water pumping systems has significantly
deteriorated due to aging, continuous exposure to weather conditions, and general wear and tear. The
existing structure, including the roofing sheets, has become damaged and requires comprehensive
repair and modification to restore its functional condition.
The proposed work includes repair of damaged brickwork, replastering of deteriorated wall surfaces,
strengthening and restoration of civil structures, replacement of damaged roofing sheets, and
necessary modifications to improve accessibility and maintenance. These activities are essential to
protect critical pumping equipment from adverse environmental conditions, ensure uninterrupted
operation of the raw water and drinking water supply systems, improve workplace safety, and enhance
the service life of the facility. The refurbishment will also improve the reliability and maintainability of
the water distribution infrastructure while preventing further structural degradation.
3. Old Sample Room Repair and Modification for Storage Facility:
The old sample room has remained unused for a considerable period and has deteriorated due
to aging, weathering, and lack of maintenance. The existing brick masonry walls and plastered surfaces
have developed damages, making the structure unsuitable for effective utilization in its present
It is proposed to repair and refurbish the building through restoration of damaged brickwork,
replastering of walls, repair of flooring, doors, windows, and other associated civil works to make the
facility suitable for storage purposes. Upon completion, the renovated room will be utilized for storing
foam concentrate drums and various additive barrels in a safe, secure, and organized manner. The
proposed repair and modification will improve housekeeping standards, protect valuable materials
from weather exposure, optimize utilization of existing infrastructure, and enhance operational
preparedness by providing a dedicated storage facility without the need for constructing a new building.
4. General Requirements
• The contractor shall arrange all necessary manpower, tools, tackles, lifting equipment,
scaffolding, consumables, and PPE required for execution of the work.
• Necessary shutdowns shall be coordinated with the Engineer-in-Charge.
• All dismantled scrap materials shall be handed over to BPCL unless otherwise instructed.
• The contractor shall conduct insulation resistance, continuity, functional, and operational
