Earth work excavation in ordinary soil exclusive of compensation of earth , Kassi work undressed involving an average horizontal throw upto 2 Mtr , and an average vertical lift upto 0.5 Mtr. Including breaking of clods. Excavated earth may be reused on berms and disposed off surplus earth with all lead and lift including dressing complete in territorial as per direction of Engineer-in-charge will be incidental to work and nothing will be paid (NS)

Preparation of Sub grade , including trenching, rough dressing of spoil , final dressing of earth , to given levels and camber , watering, rolling with road roller , and compacting the bed (HSR 24.1) Note:- In widening portion sub grade will be prepared with the use of Baby roller (HSR 24.1) or width of excavation should be made sufficient wide to accommodate road roller. Extra width required for compaction of sub grade shall not be paid and its expenditure shall be in incidental to the work.
