The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers on outer face + one layer on inner face to make the joints leak proof and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge. The pipe shall have zinc coating as per IS:4736 in factory latest with upto date ammendements complete in all respect and including DPT test for joints & manual/ mechnical handling of pipes. The laying of pipe shall confirm to BIS-5822 (with latest ammendments uptodate), including all kind of specials such as bends of all degree to be made from parent tube, short pieces, tail pieces all made from parent tube within all leads and lifts. ( Earth work in trenches, M.S. flanges and butt welded joints to be measured and paid for separately).

Providing circumferential butt welded joints @95% by electrical arc welding to GMS pipe, welded in requisite number of weld runs so as to achieve the minimum effective throat thickness of weld conforming to IS 816-1969 specifications, by using welding electrodes of 2.5mm to 6.3mm of Advani Oerilikon (Adore)-CITOJET/ES /ESAB make,conforming to IS 814-1991, include Die pentration test,at site of work complete in all respects, including manual/mechanical handling of pipes in all leads and lifts to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and welding M.S. flanges @5% at suitable point, conforming to following tables as per IS: 6392-1971 (Latest with upto date amendments) with plain end GMS/MSERW pipe in three number (2 outer and 1 inner) of layers on both faces to make the joint leak proof (The cost of providing and laying of MSERW pipes to be measured and paid for seprately). The welding of flanges should conform to IS:816-1969 with electrodes as per IS: 814-1991 and required number of nuts and bolts conforming to IS 1364. including cost of gasket sheet nuts & bolts. The thickness of gasket sheet not less then 3.00 mm conforming to IS 2712-1998.
