If the building is stone masonry, diamond tools must be used to cut the surfaces. (ii) The decision of casing capping/PVC conduit rests with the Engineer-in-charge.For casing capping, screws of minimum 35x8mm and suitable plugs should be used for fixing. In case of stone walls, wooden gutties shall be grouted in wall for fixing of screws. Distance between 2 screws shall not be more than 600mm. Size of Trunking shall be correct depending on number of wires to be drawn as per SSR Part1 but not less than 20mm. (ii) Fittings like switches, sockets, regulators, lamp holders, light fittings shall be measured and paid for separately under appropriate item of Schedule `A'. (iii) The quoted rates shall be deemed to be inclusive for provision and installation of conduits, covering sunken boards/terminal boxes / junction boxes of any shape and size modular white colour cover plate with frame and modular metal flush box. All metal boxes and plates to be of the same make as the switches mentioned in this schedule. (iv) Insulation resistance test: All wiring shall be tested with 500V Meggar between phases, phase – neutral and to Earth. IR value shall not be less than 1M-ohm.
