Improvement of earthing /grounding of 2.5 MVA AVR installed at Tawi Pump House Jammu along with allied works

Grounding of transformer of 2.5 MVA Automatic Voltage Regulator installed at Tawi pump House by way of erection ofearthing station to connect neutral point of transformer to ground mass. Job includes excavation of pit of size 1.20 m x 1.20 m at the bottom, 10ft. deep at a suitable place in premises of Tawi pump house, placing of 1 No. Copper earthing plate of size 600mm x600mmx3.15 mm thick of recommended specifications at the bottom of pit, connecting one run of copper strip riser of 38x5mm (or equivalent section) to the plate from the pit to the Ground level. Providing and placing 40 mm dia. G.I. Pipe vertically on the Copper earthing plate for watering, providing & fitting of a plug on the top end of G.I. Pipe. Filling of pits with layingalternate layers (Each layer of15 cm)of charcoal and saltup totop end of plate in the pitand adding 5 kg of Ammonium Chloride then filling up to ground level with excavated earth and providing and fitting CIcover for inspection chamber, socket and dead plug etc.Providing and laying copper earth strip 38x5mm size (or equivalent section), belowthe ground level, connecting electrodes of earthing station by soldering /fastening earthing electrodes and then connecting earth strip with the neutral point (star point) ofthe transformer of 2500 KVA AVR, installed at site by p/f of requisite size nuts and bolts. The whole job includes the cost of material, hire and carriage charges of tools and tackles, charges for skilled and semi -skilled labour required for execution of job.

Filling of pit with alternate layers of charcoal and salt upto height of plate in the pit and adding 5 kg of Ammonium Chloride and then filling up to ground level with excavated earth and providing and fitting CI frame and cover of Inspection chamber, socket and dead plug etc.Providing and laying GI earthing strip 40x6mm size, 0.5 m below the ground level, connecting electrodes of the earthing station by soldering /fastening earthing electrodes and then connecting earth strip with the body of 2500 KVA AVR, installed at site by p/f of requisite size nuts and bolts. The whole job includes the cost of material, hire and carriage charges of tools and tackles, charges for skilled and semi -skilled labour required for execution of job.
