Notes for item No 24.00: - (a) RMU Tank shall be IAC AFL 20kA/1s tested to ensure utmost operator safety .Test report (from an STL member Lab) shall be submitted along with drawings of the RMUs . In case the test report is not found suitable , the RMU shall stand liable to be rejected. (b) The Vacuum Bottle shall be of same make as that of RMU to ensure better life cycle optimization for the RMU. (c) Additional items like Operating handle etc. shall be delivered with the RMU (d) RMU shall be completely manual with all SCADA contacts for monitoring of LBS/VCB (control not required) terminated on a designated Terminal Block for easy take off by the SCADA team for integration in future. Also, motorization of RMUs shall be possible at a later date, if required. Same contacts shall be clearly mapped in the Engineering drawings for approval with designated TB Nos. for easy identification and integration. (e) RMU tank shall be of 304 grade, Non-magnetic, Non-ferrite Stainless Steel. Inferior Grade of Steel shall not be acceptable. (f) RMU shall have site replaceable bushings for ease of trouble shooting at site and quick repair and restoration at site. (g) Earth switch shall be on line side and shall have making capacity.

Notes for item No 24.00 (Contd...): - (h) Contractor shall purchase RMU directly from OEM and necessary factory inspection shall be arranged before dispatch RMU from OEM premises. The testing officer shall be nominated by accepting officer after written confirmation received from contractor for RMU is ready for testing with all respect as per CA provision. All testing and inspection shall be carried out in OEM premises in presence of testing officer and contractor. The joint inspection report shall be submitted after completion of testing. All expenditure in this respect shall be bear by contractor and inclusive in quoted rate. Nothing extra shall be admissible to contractor in this respect. (j) The Quoted rates for RMU shall be inclusive of making Platform as per OEM instructions, made with bricks and necessary PCC at Bottom and Top and plastering complete all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.
