Providing and constructing gabion structures for erosion control river training works and protection work with polymer wire crates of size 2.00 x 1.00 x 1.00 mtr each divided into 1mtr compartment by cross netting with mesh opening size 150mm x 150mm, made from 9mm polymer rope (PP) having weight of 40grm/m with a tolerance of + or -8%, 1560Kg breaking strength (min) and after 1000 cycles of abrasion the rope shall be subjected to tensile test as per IS:7071(part IV) -1986, which shall be more than 85% of the original breaking strength of the rope, the crates shall be filled with boulders with least dimension of 200mm, all loose ends to be securely tied with 9mm polymer wire as per the specification of standard specification of gabion and as per the direction of the Engineer in charge.
